  1. Baba has to play. We are so much more dangerous going forward now! So so much more, I almost can't believe it! We look so threatening on the overlap and we have the ability to cross it it in early and first time with the correct foot, Ivanovic nearly always takes too long to cross and while Dave's left isn't the worst, you can see how much more natural it comes to Baba.. Ivanovic looked reasonably solid in central defense as well, as he has done every time he's had to. I would love to hear some arguments for putting Ivanovic back out on the right when JT is fit again? I see none. We are in a position where we have to win this weekend and win against Paris to have any chance of a cup this season. Win. Attack. Score goals. If he makes us a little more susceptible at the back I don't care, he's created chances going forward two games in a row now, something we could barely do all season. Rightly so one was against Newcastle, but then he backed it up against Paris ON TOP OF the defensive responsibility he had all night. Even when we'd been pushed back for a length of time, defending for our life, if there was an opportunity to go forward and reverse the pressure, Baba did it. This then made his defensive duties and his teams mates a little easier. They eventually started having more luck against Dave and targeted him for the second half. Well played Baba.
  2. Cheers, do I need to make an account?
  3. He's a regular Ryan Bertrand is Baba

  5. Boy oh boy oh boy! This mask has been a great signing!!! Was it an Emanelo number? Or was it a pre Jose pickup that survived the cull? The mask has come in and played it's role and that's all I can ever ask. I love its no nonsense approach as well, never in the spotlight!
  6. A good game? Not sure what sure what you were watching Martial bossed him last time and was all over him again and then inevitably, their goal came from that side. What did Hiddink think was going to happen? Great he had a volley saved.. on another day United would have had 3-4 goals go in from crosses from the left. Woeful team management if you ask me.
  7. Hope it doesn't affect his pace which is his major weapon, he get's up to full speed in about 2 strides. Poor guy, really did not deserve it
  8. Judging by that video it's not hard to get MOTM in Spain?
  9. I did have a whole response written (not aimed at you just in general) but it feels like we go around in circles on here. We're fine. I'm out.
  10. Hardly! We are in a seriously good position. We may not have the best mix at the moment to fulfill the potential we have, however we are financially sound and whether you like it or not we are a global team now, with income streams constantly being built to rely less and less on our owner. Not to mention the talented youth bursting at the seams. Yes, as I mentioned, we might not have the best mix of coaches to bring through the youth, or players in the right age bracket etc to get things running as smoothly as it could, but it's a all a learning curve and I really do think Roman and the club are getting there. Give us 30 years of trying, failing, trying, winning, failing, trying and we may yet look like Barcelona. But for me that's not what it's about, it's just about getting the right people to get the most out of all the good that the club has because of Roman, because of the players, because of the success and because of the fans. He's just gone and bank rolled a new stadium as well so let's pump the brakes on the Roman bashing.
  11. Thought he did quite well for Stoke as a sub, never quite cemented a spot when starting though. Perhaps looked better when their were tired bodies around. Shame about the signing of Imbula for his sake
  12. Playing Remy when Costa was out of form would have been more logical, then he might not want to leave and we wouldn't even have to discuss how ridiculous this signing is.
  13. Best quote I read yesterday was from a Brazilian journalist who said (paraphrasing).. "Pato is the only player that Corinthians ever sold/loaned to Sao Palo where the fans did not riot.. they just didn't care" Washed up and will not do a thing... I'm happy to say that and for all you 'positive' posters on here to quote me when I'm wrong, because he'll have done something then.
  14. Good luck and thanks forever. Confirmation on the price anyone?
  15. Yeah simply can't let him go, though I do prefer him as the backup. What are England's choices for CB?
  16. 25 mil!!! Thanks for all your hard work Rambo! That chip against Barca was absolutely top shelf
  17. Falcao-esque this signing. FFS
  18. Guus wants multiple options in every position, so there is no way they will let him leave without a replacement. I swear all these effing 19 year olds and newcomers to the club whinging about sitting on the bench ought to be taught a lesson. I think the club are failing massively behind the scenes in setting the expectations of these guys. The message should be, work hard and stick with us, you will achieve success. Leave, and we can't promise you anything. Clear paths to the first team sound great in theory but life can't always be a fairytale for these players and the club. Sometimes it's an injury, sometimes it's through a whole in another position. Yes I think the club have held on a little too long at times with some of the senior players struggling with form but just ask Dave and Ivan. Work hard, you will get a shot eventually and you will achieve success at this club.
  19. Not like Chelsea to leave someone uncontracted 6 months out? Surely something more to it
  20. Talk of him signing for Arsenal. The articles mention him rejecting a Chelsea contract extension, anyone know anything further?
  21. To be honest, I'm not loving all these reports about breaking the bank for Pep and giving him endless spending money. I thought we were very admirable in trying to stick with FFP in the last few years and would prefer us to be acquiring and developing talents on a more reasonable budget, with the occasional splash investment into the business (aka world class player). Send him to City, let him have the money and lets still beat them!
  22. Your surprised that the 3 o'clock game isn't on at all?
  23. Way too much positivity in here of late, I miss the dark days
  24. Absolute beast, first picked at the moment.
