  1. sad to hear about johnny norman i watched the 2008 champions league final in the seven stars, he used to dj in some of the boozers i drank in in the early 80s if no one danced he would put prog rock on it worked!
  2. great pics carshalton and 100% agree about the graffiti,CHELSEA RULE OK
  3. first off fair play to the chelsea boys who went but did anyone go to the screening of the game in the east stand?,i've got to admit i had no intention of going it was on boxing day early kick off but my mate had a row with his missus and was banging my door down to drag me there.i had a huge hangover and at the time i had a mate who worked in the east stand who let me in for nothing,so we bought our tickets from the portacabin( £10) and there was about 10 entrances to get into the east stand so we walked in and there's my mate saying why have i bought the ticket i knew it was going to be a bad day it pissed down and the rain swept in by the wind everyone got soaked we lost 4-1, but like i said fair play to the boys who went about 1500 i would say which is pretty good for an early kick off on boxing day
  4. chelseaden you asked for storeys about west ham in 1980 and me and backbiter told ours i was 14 at the time with my mates some even younger so when you see and i don't like saying it chelsea running to a man did you expect me and my juvenile mates to stand there and go toe to toe with west ham and even if we stood there west ham being the horrible lot they are would have battered us regardless of our age and i've followed chelsea all over the country and europe so don't talk about the chelsea spirit to me mate
  5. backbiter is totally right especially about after the game against west ham it was the first time i've ever been run at chelsea i came out of the bovril entrance and just saw loads of geezers running at us,there's a picture on this forum of west ham in the shed they were penned in by the benches but that's as far as they got,the return game was just as hairy me and my mates got locked out everyone at that game was wearing west ham colours except us we were standing by a car and someone from some flats started shooting at us with an air rifle,we got in for the last 15 minutes or so we lost 4-0 and we had the corner bit of the southbank which considering how much we took everywhere else was pretty poor really
  6. arsenal away 1987 horse bit my mate on the shoulder when we were queuing up it didn't break the skin but you had to see the amount of horse gob he had all over him
  7. picture of franco in yellow away kit still my favourite chelsea goal vs wimbledon semi final on my birthday as well no one but him could have scored a goal like that pure genius
  8. the mirror had a bigger picture at the time that i was in i was in the seats .millwall at luton was 1985 what happened here was leeds done the same thing a t derby's previous home match do you know who scored the goal that started the seat throwing kevin bloody wilson
  9. sorry carshalton don't no why this appears under my name but funny enough near the end of 2001 we played everton and i remember the old bill penning in there firm of about 40 bods they were trying to get to the mh stand it might be that bit of a long shot mind
  10. this was going to be my first away game outside london but a couple of weeks before i got caught trespassing on the railway and had to go to euston with my old old man for a caution on the day of the game. i was devastated all my mates went and i had to listen to there storys about it for months afterwards
  11. we played boro in dec 82 plate spin we lost 3-1 darren wood scored for boro!,in 83 we played leicester on the 3rd of january that was an early kick off me and my mates went on the national express from victoria when we got there it was a really long walk from the coach station to the ground so after the game( which we lost 3-0)we decided rather then go through the walk again we'd get on the supporters club train when the geezer came round for the tickets i told him the old bill wouldn't let us go through the town centre and forced us on the train even though we had coach tickets, well this ticket bloke done his nut saying your lucky this is a non stop train or i would have chucked you all off when i said we are all chelsea mate no need for that he started giving me a lecture i couldn't say to much cos i think he would have got us nicked at st pancras if i had
  12. fair enough i was a bit over the top but that could have put something a bit better then the torres goal,i can't listen to turd sport anymore especially the top turd adrian durham cos of the anti chelsea stuff and revelling in it when we lose
  13. has anyone noticed every team is celebrating on the open credits on match of the day except us torres scoring a consolation goal against man u bias against us in the media bloody right there is
  14. i think it first started when he rejoined in 1983 and got the hump cos he never got a game even though we had the likes of nevin, spackman, bumstead and cannonville in midfield.in the mid 90's he used to that q and a in the mh stand after the game was he still doing that when he got knocked over? i think bates done that as a favour cos he was potless since he retired. i have to say him and ossie were my first chelsea heroes but as a bloke he's a miserable tit
  15. it was a saturday as it goes. things i remember was also the walk from the station leeds chucking stuff out of bus windows at us. peter rhodes brown missing from about 2 yards out leeds boys behind the goal all seemed to be wearing a patrick cagoule (wasn't he in father dear father? one for the youngsters there)and how long the old bill kept us in the ground after the game
  16. did anyone go to this game it was played on a monday afternoon because of power cuts (i think) so couldn't be played at night i know my brother and a load of his mates bunked in cos it was on a school day and did qpr bring any numbers i'm guessing not many
  17. a mate of mine at school went to that arsenal-wolves game and asked me who babsy was cos arsenal kept singing babsy clap your hands and babsy is an octopus cheeky bar stewards
  18. i've been in quite a few home ends usually incognito pissed or just bad luck but the one that gives me nightmares even now is being in the northstand against the y*ds in 1978.let me explain the night before the game my old man gave my brother the money to get us both in i was in bed. now my brother supports spurs so the next day we get to the ground so i said to my brother give me my half of the money i'm going in the shed he said (lying of course) dad said we have to stick together fine we'll both go in the shed then, now anyone who's got an older brother will know that wasn't happening either go with him miss the game and get a dig off him when he got home so i went in the northstand oh god it was horrible first half duncan mckenzie chips the ball and tommy langley scores a brilliant bicycle kick the best goal by miles in that dreadful season and i have to stand there and not cheer, chelsea fans are taking the piss out of ardiles and villa and i'm trying not to laugh anyway they win 3-1 my brother is laughing at me and grabbing me everytime they score.spurs started pulling at the fence between the north and west stand before the game but it was all bravado and they had a half hearted attempted at taking the shed but they soon saw the errors of there ways and were quickly dealt with but this is still the worst day i've ever had watching chelsea
  19. also first manager when i became a blue boy. RIP
  20. i've got every programme home and away that i went to from 79-81 but i stopped buying them when i started smoking still at school couldn't afford both, what i have got is loads of fanzines chelsea independent, red card ,weststanders, carefree ,sw6 a couple of blues brothers and that slightly odd one cockney rebel which if i remember right was sold by a bloke who must have been in his late fifties early sixties.i've got some stuff that i'd like to put up as well my inner celery firm t shirt ,chelsea headhunters one and a chelsea and england one and also i've got the old red away top with a number 9 on the back
  21. i'm using firefox as well and there's no problem and cheers carshalton they are superb mate the o.a.p. bit in the northstand forgot about that
  22. bridge countless times, cambridge 82 so many chelsea there who bunked in the turnstile blokes just gave up,palace 84 day after my 18th birthday i was still pissed, brentford friendly 1992 i think ,game finished i turned around and my mate had run on the pitch so we all joined him i asked kerry dixon and kevin wilson for there shirts kevin wilson had one look at me and my mate and legged it to the dressing room
  23. i've still got my copy of this somewhere i bought it in the supporters shop no pictures on the front just a plain white video .the commentator was a bloke called paul dempsey your right he was terrible on this and when he was on sky as well
  24. was the barbers inside or just outside the station i remember me and my mate buying 10 number 6 from there the day we beat bolton 4-3 in 1978
