My other memory of that day was seeing a group of Chelsea walking down the road after the match and one bloke proudly showing off a Leicestershire constabulary police badge that he had obtained....amazing what you remember as a kid but i was hooked after that match

Leicester away in 89 was a huge turn out(same day as Hillsborough) I was 11 at the time but still remember how poor the officials were that day and all the off field activities.

Remember being outside afterwards and could hear fighting, smashing glass and police sirens in the distance as the old bill tried to stop more Chelsea getting up this road. I stood on the window seal of some typical northern terraced house to get a better look of the trouble before looking through the window and among all this madness there was some old dear sat in her living room simply doing her knitting and totally oblivious of what was going on outside!

New to this site but just wanted to say a big thank you all the contributors in this section. Always the first section i go to and some incredible old photos and brilliant discussions. Followed Chelsea since being a kid and was lucky enough to be mascot in 86(aged 8) against Tottenham and continued go to most matches until around 2003.

Some of the best memories in my life have come from following this club (funnily enough when we were sh*t!) and i know things change but its a shame that my kids will never get to experience the real Chelsea that we all remember
