Good luck to you guys tonight. I'm pulling for you and hopefully you can win the final as well. I just want to see Ballack winning that CL once in his carreer. If you can frustrate Barca like last week, you should be able to advance.

Barca vs Bayern
I am fully confident that a team with a competetnt defense would have prevented at least half of those goals. We don't have such a defense, on top of that we are in sh*t form and will probably sack Klinsmann today. Great game from you guys, yesterday, congratulations!

Pizzaro brace puts Milan out
Just scored a brilliant diving header for the fishheads in the UEFA Cup against St. Etienne. Has been great for them this season.

Congratulations Chelsea!
Hm, Ribery is (with C. Ronaldo not in peak form) currently the best LW on the planet. The interested parties are English and Spanish top clubs, or loaded like City. Realistically only you, United, City, Barca or Real could afford him. All of those clubs pay over the odds. We got 24 million for Hargreaves, we could easily get 50 million for Ribery IMO. While our defense is error prone this season, Chelsea is not a goal scoring machine. Often Anelka and Drogba are rendered anonymous, so Lampard has to supply the goals. Pressuring works both ways and we are physical enough to match you there (a thing that was blatantly obvious yesterday is just how badly Real was beaten by Liverpool in the man on man battles and midfield scraps, we are not going to get brushed aside by a little pressing IMO). As of now I would say you would be the slight favourites, 55:45, 60:40 at best.

With regards to Rensing: He is a young keeper who has very big shoes to fill. He certainly made a number of mistakes this season, but the defense and the whole team did not help him very much. Defensively we are very bad this season. To many mistakes that world class players like Lahm, Lucio and Demichelis should not commit. I am of the opinion that his loyalty has earned him at least a full season between the sticks. After that we can still talk about getting another keeper. With regards to Ribery: There has been some bad blood because a player of his quality is attracting rumours left and right. The papers sometimes are out of control when dealing with the issue. Recent negative results and some criticism of our playing style from him has done the rest. Fact is that Ribery is a genious, but no player should be bigger than the club. I would hate to lose him to anyone, but if it must be, then we should cash in and certainly get 50+ million Euros for him. With that kind of money you could buy 2-3 top class players in the continental (non-inflated) transfer market.

Congratulations Chelsea!
No, they fielded a side without for example Liedson and Rochemback, but our team did not feature Toni or Ribery either, so it was comparable. They certainly did not play with full desire and their defense was comical at times, but still a 7:1 (after a 0:5 in the previous game) is a spectacular result for us in a CL tie. We are very inconsistant in the league this season, but on CL nights we have been doing very well. Anything could happen if you drew us, from a clear victory for you to a clear victory for us, seeing as you haven't been that solid in the CL. It would be a great tie and honestly I think we are the only side left that has the potential to physically go toe to toe with the English teams.

Congratulations Chelsea!
Congrats to you guys for progressing one stage further against Juve. We didn't too bad ourselves, beating Sporting 12:1 on aggregate I must say I would fancy meeting you in the next round, it would surely be a good pair of matches and we still have unfinished business with your lot -_- P.S. Great to see Essien back.

Why is Deco not on the bench? Good luck to you guys, we will need some today as well.

Frank Ribery
We would never agree to a swap deal with Malouda. Ribery has shown his more arrogant side recently, calling for new players, and repeatedly refusing any commitment to fulfill his contract. He says that he wants to win the CL as fast as possible and wants the club to do anything for that. Hoeness bears with him because frankly he is the best left winger in the world (Ronaldo is crap this season). I hope that he stays with us, but in all fairness some mad bit >100 million Euros or Pounds would convince me otherwise. With that kind of money you could build up a whole new star squad.

England v. Germany
To tell you a Swiss joke: A German, a Frenchman and an Englishman are caught drinking alcohol in Saudi Arabia and are sentenced to be punished by the lash. First the Frenchman, he is called and pleads for mercy, but to no avail. He is struck 10 times. Hurt and sulking he returns to his cell. Then comes the German, sees the Frenchman and thinks that he will prove to the audience that Germans are much harder than the French so he asks to be punished by 20 strokes. The authorities are impressed by his bravery and grant him his wish. He endures 20 strokes and then moves away gritting his teeth, but not nothing else. Then, finally, the Englishman. Wanting not to stand behind, he asks to be hit 50 times! The authorities are speechless, and ask him to reconsider that since it would be very dangerous. The Englishman thinks for a second and then says: "I still want 50, but under one condition." The jugde, still impressed by the foreigners bravery, agrees. The Englishman is bound and prepared to receive the strokes of the lash. "So, what is your condition, my brave, but foolish son?", asks the judge. "Bind the Frenchman on my back!" , replies the Englishman. (Nationalities are interchangeable I suppose, but I reformed it for the benefit of the majority of this forum  )

England v. Germany
It's the little brother syndrome. A kind of one sided rivalry. They always compare themselves to Germany and percieve any kind of clash between the German mindset and the Swiss one as arrogance and rudeness. Also the fact that many Germans have emmigrated to Switzerland plays its part. The Swiss hate nothing more than a German who thinks that Swiss are just Germans with funny dialects. A similar rivalry exists in the French speaking part of the country against The French. In the end though it is mostly banter, and there are no problems on a personal scale since the people really are similar.

Basel, Switzerland to be exact, just over the German border. I'm studying in the University there and also do live in the town. Born and raised in Lörrach though which is on the other side of the border.

Lukas Podolski
As a Bayern fan I'm sad to see that it didn't work out between him and us. He has immense potential, a lethal left foot and speed in abundance. With 23 he wants to play regularly now, but was only third choice after Toni and Klose. I don't know if he would be suited to you, becuse you rarely play with 2 full strikers and I doubt that he would start consistently for you which is what he is after. A move to Italy or Spain would be better for him I think. Sadly club Podolski is a different player from NT Podolski.
