Timo Werner
His style of play is more suited for counter attacking and so far this season the team isn’t really playing that game. No doubt he needs to finish his chances though and it’s getting frustrating. He is still producing assists lately though Atleast. I’d like to see more from him but I’m far from being down on the lad. He also isn’t getting service. The post game analysis the other game was spot on. He is making great runs and just not getting the ball at the right time. Atleast 4 times the ball wasn’t played or was too late. He will get goals when the team gets used to his pace, I still think the team takes it for granted.

Everton v Chelsea (PL) Sat 12th Dec 2020 20:00 GMT
They are gonna be pumped up for this one after the hammering they took the last time we met. Really hope FL sticks Silva to DCL all night and shuts him down. A spanking would tickle my fancy but regardless a win is necessary.

Christian Pulisic - Official
I totally get the selfishness criticizing but honestly I want him to keep it up. He is really one of the only players on the squad with the willingness and skill to take players on in the box. All elite teams need that creativity. He’s been out for awhile and needs to regain his confidence and once he does he’ll get his head up and find that pass rather then shooting all the time. The kid oozes talent just needs to relax a bit, been a bit tense the past couple games. The only way to improve is to keep at it.

David Alaba - The answer to all our prayers
Where does he fit in the squad if we bring him in though? He is going to want a lot of game time. Chilwell was just brought in for a lot of dough and has exceeded expectations imo. Don’t see him loosing his spot. Zouma is much improved and has the best aerial win percentage out of the big leagues. Makes some mistakes but has been a big part of the defensive rejuvenation. Silva and Alaba pairing worries me a bit on height especially in the prem where a lot of balls get whipped in. Amazing player obviously but does he fit the current squad? Maybe it works if we move Rudiger and Christensen on in Jan but that seems unlikely.

Tammy Abraham
“Tammy is the future” is an excellent point one that I think some miss. He has been excellent this season so far, link up and finishing. It’s important for him to mesh with the powerhouse Chels and Lamps are building so I have no issue with him seeing lots of game time. He missed a couple opportunities against the best defensive team in the prem. Tatter tots sat back the entire game, clearly they respected him and the attacking prowess of this team. If he isn’t seeing top comp he isn’t going to improve. No doubt that Giroud should get a run of games (after Leeds imo). Let’s not forget though Giroud could be gone next season. Tammy is the future!

Timo Werner
Yes Timo misses some shots but he’s putting himself in the positions to get those shots. If he ever cleans up his finishing he could be one of the elite. I’m sure the Chelsea brass knew prior to his signing and are going to give him all the support he needs to get the finishing down. He is still young much like the rest of the team. The potential is very exciting.

Welcome To Chelsea Thiago Silva *Official*
I think Silva has been the biggest signing for us this window. His play has been amazing but it’s his leadership that’s the most important to me. You hear it from the manager who he says he speaks with everyday. You hear it from the player interviews saying they now fully understand why he’s regarded as a top CB. You can see it in the improvements in Zouma and James defensively. It’s not like there was any coaching change. He is basically a player/coach. It sucks that we may only have him for a couple years but the affect he will have on our younger players is unmeasurable. Mendy deserves credit too but the amount of shots he faces and quality shots at that are drastically reduced from last year.

I can’t remember which game it was now. I was probably only 12 or 13 at the time. Loved watching him play though.

Pulisic would be very handy today. He is willing to take on his man and win.

Newcastle v Chelsea (PL) Sat 21st Nov 2020 12:30 GMT
I expect a slow start. Most of these players have been away on national duty playing different styles. Might take a bit to get back in the groove of Chelsea ball. Confidence should be high though so I hope to see a lot of creativity in the second half. Let’s go Chels!

Canadian eh
Hey all! Been lurkin for a bit now, figured I’d give the intro a go and start posting. Toronto, Canada is the home Hockey is obviously what I grew up playing but soccer was always the second sport. First soccer game I watched was Chelsea and Ballack was on fire. Chelsea has been my team since. Loved watching Hazard progress through and become one of the greatest wingers in the game. I’ve been following passionately now for the past 5 years. I must say the team this year as me absolutely ecstatic. So much talent brought in this past window and they are starting to bring it together. The team is one of the youngest in the league and already you can see something special is brewing. My observations from reading here and Twitter (Apologies if I’m stirring the hornets nest but it needs to be said); I think Lampard and Mount take way too much flack. Lampard - I don’t think anyone expected Chels to be top 4 last year. Lampard really stabilized the team last year. He has a great partnership with Marina and they have done some fantastic recruiting together. These guys unanimously wanted to play for Frank. I think people go to hard on “tactics”. Mount - fantastic player, my favourite on the team and it’s because of his work rate. The kid is what? 21? I think people forget that he’s a kid and that he sees the crap people post about him on social media. The kid has worked his a** of to get here and there’s a reason why both his managers pick him every game. Extremely versatile, makes runs to open space up for teammates, tracks back, presses vehemently, switches play beautifully. He’s not gonna be the best player on the pitch every night BUT HE’S 21! So much potential you can’t complain about him getting game time to improve. All in all great players brought in on an already strong foundation. They just need time to gel. I’d be more than happy with a top 4 finish again. Lots of teams improved and a COVID season is unpredictable. Let’s all enjoy this fantastic club! Ok that’s all for now. Apologies for the rant I’ve have a few wobbly pops lol. Top to Bottom Chelsea FC is an exceptional team, one of the best in any sport IMO.

MOTM vs Burnley (A) (PL)
Went with Kante. Finally playing where he belongs and showing he is still one of the best out there. Really though you could give it to anyone, fantastic game from every player. I’m sure Lampard is over the moon right now, the squad he envisioned is coming together. Keep it up boys!

Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) Sun 20th Sep 2020 16:30 GMT
Hoping for a win. Would be a big boost to the boys to grab a win with so many new faces. It will be a good learning experience either way. Can’t wait to have Ziyech back he’s a big piece. Ecstatic to see all these signing continue to mesh together.
