  1. Ok, what the hell -- let's get subs on. This midfield is absolutely terrible. RLC and Saul are way overmatched. Throw in Alonso too. Get CHO and Jorgi on quickly.
  2. We are really missing Kova too -- when's he supposed to be back?
  3. I hope the person in the crowd is okay. But, a break was definitely needed -- let TT rip into them a bit.
  4. This ^^^ It is allllllllll about the clicks. Everything written should be taken with a huge grain of salt.
  5. Unfortunately, ya — if it is an MCL sprain it is usually 5 to 8 weeks for healing and another 2 to get back to fitness. Hopefully not ACL (that’s 9 - 12 months). On the quick video clip though, the weird bending didn’t look like an ACL injury.
  6. Yup, looked like his knee. MCL sprain maybe.
  7. The next stretch of games is where we need to really take the majority of points -- the three games at the start of the New Year will be brutal (Liverpool, Man City, Tottenham). But, it would nice for them to be meaningful. If we can get our finishing right -- and, with a healthy Mount, Pulisic, and Werner playing of Lukaku, I think there is shot for this to happen. In particular, I really want to see Puli/CHO and Mount play at the same time with Lukaku (they have yet to do so), as they seem to play well with a target striker rather than a false 9. We could be firing for those 3 games -- and the defense is going to be stout. I am cautiously optimistic.
  8. Thinking its more that Lukaku and only 2 other attacking players is the problem. Gotta figure out how to surround him with 3 other attackers. Looking forward to seeing some combination of CHO, Mount, Timo, Pulisic with Lukaku as the Striker on the field at the same time in advanced positions. Dunno if TT can make that happen with his preferred system.
  9. Something is definitely off right now in tactics and performance. Hoping Tuchel is seeing something to fix before Southampton and over the break -- or title hopes will quickly be replaced with different expectations.
  10. CHO only guy giving energy on the pitch -- great cross. Havi -- nah I'll put it 30 feet over the bar.
  11. Feels like the most frustrating back-to-back games in awhile. F*** Lukaku needs to put that on frame
  12. Really missing an in-form Mount in this game. No dynamism in attack and entirely predictable. Would like to see what CHO and Timo could do -- need somebody to go direct in attack.
  13. When the schedule came out, I would have taken 13 out of 18 all-day, every day -- was hoping for 15/16 pts, but will take the 13. Do need 16+ for the next 6 to make a title reasonable.
  14. Agreed -- I am not terribly worried, to be honest. Offense wasn't fluid, but I don't think you can say it was dire. With Lukaku, we hopefully see the end of the false 9 experiment, and now we have THE guy to put it in the net. I think it will take pressure off the wingers and attacking midfield to have to convert and they can focus on creating. The byproduct is they will be more likely to convert with mental pressure decreased. Biggest worry is the schedule is harsh to start the season -- Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Man City. Nothing like throwing them in the cooker and seeing how the attack gels. Think the Pen Shootout win might actually be good thing -- get to overcome some adversity.
  15. Team was definitely rusty...but, gotta like overcoming pressure at the beginning of the season to win a cup! Look forward to seeing an actual Striker with guys like Mount, Werner, Puli and Havi playing off of him. Think it will be a night and day difference.
  16. Definitely a dislocation for Ziyech. Suffered that exact injury in the same way. It looked pretty light though, so I wonder if he's dislocated it in the past as that makes your joint very unstable and more susceptible to dislocation. If he has dislocated it in the past, he could be back in a few weeks. If it's the first dislocation that requires surgery -- it could be awhile. 😐
  17. The team. Don’t feel like you can choose 1 guy. Everyone played their role tonight. TT was genius level too.
  18. This —> Give Tuchel whatever. And get him Haaland. I can’t wait to see what he does next season — I think he fixes the offense with 4 dedicated attackers next season and a real striker. Genius stuff today.
  19. What a f**king win!!! Complete team effort — everyone worked their ass off.
  20. Tuchel pumping up the crowd is... *chef’s kiss* LOL
