Tuchel will come out, right before game time, and declare Pulisic not ready. There won't be much else said, just a vague one line comment revealing nothing about why a Chelsea- reported 10 day injury timeline for return is now turning into 21 days... or more.

What do you want TT to do? Show a scan with a specialist to explain things in more detail? Actually have an interview with Christian to prove he is injured? What do you want?

Are you not in the least bit interested on how ‘we’ll’ do against Juventus?

Perhaps an update on the injury. Perhaps clarification on why a sprained ankle, initially diagnosed as a ten day injury, is now going on its 21st day. I would think, as Chelsea fans, you guys would be a little more concerned about your offensive players, or lack thereof,  when your team generated zero shots on goal yesterday. Would be nice to know exactly what's up with one of the key talents who can generate a spark of offense when your attack is coming off a toothless display.

He should actually take Pulisic with him to the press conference and break his leg in front of cameras just to demonstrate beyond doubt his inexplicable hatred for young Christian. I've seen some single-issue/player posters before but this is utterly absurd.

On a non-conspiracist note, this was the last update from Tuchel:

Sept 19: "The game vs Villa is maybe too close, I hope I am wrong. This is my impression with him not in training so far. Let's see. Maybe he had a good progression. It would be super nice to have him but it is doubtful."

Morata and Dybala apparently injured. Considering how poor Juve are at the moment I'm expecting nothing but a comfortable victory here.

Pulisic is tied up and locked in Tuchel's basement.

Thanks for showing your allegiance. With words like You guys and  Your team . May be you should add Pulisic on Social media and ask him these questions.  We would be more concerned if it was Mount , Havertz or Jorginho since they rarely get injured but with Pulisics injury record we can just hope he heals fast. To be fair i thought it was wierd when Tuchel said he came back from international duty on crutches but expected him back in 10 days.

If i was in charge i would wrap Christian in cotton wool until after the international break

He is walking that dangerous line between overly concerned and being a troll. @coco is likely keeping a close eye, ban hammer at the ready. Lol

Since he came he missed 14 games 2 seasons in a row due to injury,  now in his 3rd season he already missed 7 games due to injury. Not sure if Tuchel owes an explanation or Pulisic himself...

Personally think it has 0-0 written all over it.

I understand what you mean but right now we are not one but two levels above them. They look so disorganised in every aspect of the game. And now without their two main strikers I can't see a way for them to score from open play.

If we have the same approach like against City then yes it could be a 0-0. And no matter how bad Juve are at the moment we can't say a draw would be a bad result away from home. But we don't want to see that approach again. I think Thomas knows what mistakes were made and that's not going to repeat.

I find it ironic both Eden and Christian have struggled with injury issues since they've joined their respective clubs.

Even so I'm still yet to see a Chelsea player catch fire like Christian has for us since Eden left. Mount has been consistent not so much in goals and assists but performance, Kai has scored for us in the big one and Romelu has started well.

@USATim  What I think you need to realise is that the majority of us in this forum are all big Pulisic fans and its not that we don't care that he's not being talked about or played.

It's more so we understand that if he was fit he would at least be making the match day squad regardless of what you think about Tuchel's opinions on Christian there is at least from my perspective no agenda.

Ask yourself how do you get a young player to not only reach their potential but, to maintain it and perhaps even go beyond it? Inner squad competition, if you know your place in the team is not secure you will play your very best game regularly and that's what TT does to everyone in the squad. If you remove personal bias everyone to an extent (bar a few such as Tammy and Emerson) have all had a fair chance to play under TT.

Moving away from Pulisic since this isn't the Christian specific thread, I would be very interested to see what Tuchel goes with on Wednesday. Tried and true 3421 or 352 in a statement that it's not the system but the player's effort that makes the difference.

The result makes too much sense to me as it leaves both in strong positions.

I agree though that we should be going all out for a win. If we can beat them then win the Malmo double header we give ourselves a chance to go to Russia in the last game with a B team and rest players who need it.

I think we should edge them, we have the quality to go top of our group. Thomas will be looking for a reaction from this weekend, the players will be looking to lay down a marker since we're facing a top team (supposedly on the decline).

                             Mendy

          Azpil   Christensen    Rudiger

CHO       Jorginho        Kanté    Chillwell

             Havertz              Werner

                           Lukaku

Personally I'd like to see Mount if he's available in that front 3 and if Christian is fit him to start over CHO. I think Alonso deserves a break and I think Trevor is due a start so maybe he plays next weekend which Azpil goes back to rcb for this one we could do with his experience.

I think Werner deserves another chance since he didn't t a sniff against City and shouldn't be judged on that game alone, his form was on the upturn no point in completely curtailing it.

Would like to know how Jorgi and Kante are doing as both were not at it yesterday.

Assuming Reece is out then I would look at this side, with replacements in brackets if said players are not 100%

Mendy

Chalobah

Silva

Rudiger

Dave

Jorgi (Christensen, Trev and him swap)

Kante (Kova)

Chilwell

RLC

Lukaku

Pulisic (CHO)

See how RLC does with a start in an attacking position.

Christensen Silva Rudiger

Azpi RLC Kante Kovacic Alonso

Havertz Lukaku

I’m surprised so many of you think Jorginho should start. I am no hater and have defended him many times, but if we’re being meritocratic about it, is he doing enough to deserve to start? Why not Loftus Cheek who’s such a favourite AND playing well.  Is it a CL thing?

I agree about bringing Mount back into the fold, but maybe off the bench if coming back from injury.

Did he come with a 3 year warranty?  Probably won't get our money back then 🤔
