Must win game now. City and Pool are breathing down our necks

Nah we ain't title contenders. Where those two are don't matter.

Ziyech, Werner and Alonso got their chances and blew them big time. CHO was poor but gets a reprive for me at WB. Silva gets a well deserved rest.

Mendy

Trev

AC

Rudi

James

Jorginho

Saul

CHO

Mount

Lukaku

Like this lineup. Time to find an offense that  clicks and start sticking with it.

Got lots or time and respect for Claudio. Such a gentleman and has great love for the game. Did a good job with us and started getting the likes of JT, Lamps, Cole and Duff in to the side that went on to achieve amazing things.

Not to mention we all appreciated what he achieved with Leicester.

Would hurt far less for me losing this one than drawing with United, simply because of him.

I would throw Lukaku into this game if he's fit, this is the type of game we signed him for. Same goes for Mount, we haven't seen much of him after that hatrick against Norwich,  was that a month ago? Rotation will be on for this game, if we get a good squad as good as we believe, the busy December is time to find out.

To be honest, based on his brief cameo against Man Utd, Lukaku didn't look anywhere near fit enough to start a game this soon.

Tuchel's post-match interview backs this up too:

My first choice up top would be Havertz. If he's not available then Pulisic again. On paper this is the easiest of the four games we have over the next two weeks, so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some rotation. Fitness permitting, I assume we will see the return of Azpilicueta, Christensen, Barkley and Mount to the starting XI.

Don't be fooled by the Man Utd and Everton results, this Watford side are terrible. If we can't beat them we don't deserve to win the title.

Havertz is the only fit forward with any aerial power.

RLC and Jorginho gunna play a lot as both well ahead of Saul and Barkley.

id like to push cho back to wing back on the left, he is closer to chillers style. But  I’m no Tuchel.
chalobah continues to look a real player.

They gave a good Leicester side a pretty good game yesterday.

You do make an excellent point on rotation though. Game after game now, 3 times a week so it may well be very important to rest players here, Zenit and at Brentford in the cup. Would also provide players like Lukaku a chance to get his fitness up. With that in mind we could see:

Kepa

Trev

AC

Sarr

Dave

Barkely

Saul

CHO

Mount

Lukaku

CP

Another game we have to be at the races for, otherwise we could drop points here. We don't have a particularly simple (on paper) run in the coming month, so we need to show we can be consistent at getting results.

Indeed, big game in the battle for third on Saturday at West ham. Could be they are our biggest challangers there, see how Ralf gets united going mind you.

Fortunate City beat West ham, helps our bid to secure 3rd. Need to do the same on Saturday.

Wonder if Tuchel will give Saul a start. I know he has not made best of starts but he only has started around 2 games. Surely has to get to a point where we should trust him with a start, especially when Kovacic and Kante are most certainly out. Expect to see Mount and Havertz definitely restored to the lineup and if Lukaku is deemed fit enough to start from outset, he probably will join them too. This is best probable time to play Watford. Without their best player in Sarr. Dennis possibly out too. Must win, especially as we have West Ham on Saturday.

I believe we will stay top this week but drop down to third at the weekend when Zouma leads the hammers to beat us.

I don't want to rotate too many players. I would swap Werner with Pulisic and maybe start Barkley over RLC and Azpi for Alonso otherwise keep the same team. Give Ziyech 45 minutes otherwise bring on Mount at halftime. I'm not sure if Thiago Silva can play again Wednesday but if he's fit he should play.

We need to be careful with Silva. He has had 2 injuries for us making stretching blocks, a big part of his game, and the higher the work load the more at risk he is. We should rest him here, AC is a quality back up.

@Zeta I know is a game ahead but for the weekend will you be predicting West Ham 1-2 Chelsea Zouma 5? 😉

Chilwell, Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho and possibly James all out. Lukaku not ready for many minutes yet.

We are getting hammered by injuries here. How will the midfield even look?

maybe he should be rested, but he is such a joy to watch every game. Rest him tomorrow and start him against West Ham.
