I was wondering why Maresca was talking to all the Man City players but then realised it was Guardiola

Maresca needs to realise very quickly were not playing against championship players.

We played relatively well with a back 4 against club america. What does Meresca do? Go back to a back 3 and Tosin the Championship player passes it straight to Haaland.

Conor Gallagher
The clubs done nothing to keep him. Playing under 5 different managers over a couple of years, assembling a 1st team full of youth and championship players managed by a championship manager, a club with no aspirations of competing for the title or in Europe and the future looking increasingly bleak…I would be looking to get out asap.

Reece James is one of the best if not the best wing backs in the world, he can cross, beat players, find space to shoot and score, on top of that he defends well. Playing him centre mid, inverted, call it what you want is never going to work. Now hes playing Gusto centre mid 🤦♂️

Oh its only pre season, all about fitness, what a load of crap. Loser mentality. You build momentum, positivity and morale by winning games. I only play 5 a side football nowadays locally, but even I hate losing and always have! These are pro’s who nowadays stay relatively fit during off season too, they should be wanting to win! Any top manager wont be accepting this performance.

It was always going to be a risk taking on a B rate championship manager with 2 years experience. So far, I have no idea what he’s trying to achieve. Theyre slicing through our defence with ease. Some good attacks, but looks erratic with no real rhyme, rhythm or balance. The players look pretty clueless, but they will have to start buying into his ideas pretty quickly, that only happens by winning games pre season or not.

Trevoh Chalobah
I disagree with the opinion that Trev is decent or just a backup/squad player, he is absolute quality and on his way to being world class, was our best centre back last season especially when our form was top 4! Positioning, always in the right place at the right time. Tackling, aggressive and clean, brilliant at last ditch tackles too. On the ball, composed and rarely loses the ball, can play out of tight situations, can play it short or long. Technically top tier. Can score goals too, headed, in the box and long range. He is also quicker than crocked Fofana and Colwill, and the slow Disasi, Badiashille and Tosin. Anyway, I hope he goes and signs for a top club and wins championships, he deserves it. He’s never complained or made noise unlike Colwill, works hard and is loyal. All the best Chalobah…

Trevoh Chalobah
Based on what? Injured half the time, the rest of the time he played at left back and got caught out of position on numerous occasions. Had a half decent season at Brighton, *not Chelsea.

Trevoh Chalobah
Who then? Enlighten us

Trevoh Chalobah
Our best centre back by a country mile entering the peak of his career. He is a class above what we have. Also an academy product. Sell him, we are left with a crocked Fofana who is finished at top level, error prone Disasi and Badiashille who are also awful on the ball and a 21 year old Colwill who still has a lot to learn. None of them can command the back line or have any leadership qualities either. With Silva also gone, big trouble next season. If you have two second and third rate centre backs who belong mid to bottom of the table, that is where Chelsea will likely finish. Unless they buy a world class experienced centre back, which they wont, probably buy a few more 15 years olds. In the NBA teams tank, so they can get 1st draft pick in following seasons. What the American owners still havent realised theres nothing to win by tanking only relegation.

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
So weve hired a manager with 1 and a half years experience. He was sacked by Parma because he was so bad, he won promotion with Leicester which was expected, half the Leicester fans booed him and wanted him out because of his boring football. What could possibly go wrong? Well at least the owners are consistent in their shockingly bad decision making.

Next Manager (post Poch)
If theyre appointing a manager based on who won the EFL and got sides promoted to the PL, they could have gone with Neil Warnock, Sean Dyche, Nigel Pearson, Brian McDermmott, Nuno Santo, Mick Mcarthy, Tony Mowbray, Steve Bruce etc. At least theyve all managed in the PL.

Chelsea vs West Ham United (PL) Sun 5th May 24 14:00GMT
Every player has played their role today and its been a top performance, like Chelsea of old. Except for Mudryk, who has lost the ball almost every time hes got it and looks like a complete non footballer, almost like were playing with a man down when hes on the pitch. Nkunku over Mudryk next season and loan/sell Mudryk.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if ownership sell Chalobah, Gallagher and Noni in the summer.

I knows there a lot of heat on Poch, but if this team can qualify for Europe, also having reached a final and semi final of 2 cups, with half the first team out injured for most of the season it would have been a very good season.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 27th Apr 24 20:00 GMT
He’s a defender for one, and Mudryk’s still got a worse touch. Clearly youve never played the game, and have been seduced by his Mudryks butterfly tattoos, cut from the same cloth as the ones who recruited him.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 27th Apr 24 20:00 GMT
Why do people keep defending Mudryk? We signed a player who scored 9 goals in the Ukrainian league over 2 years. Doesnt matter where you play him, its no excuse for his awful first touch (the worst in the PL), how he loses the ball every single time either by running straight into the opposition or a pass straight to the opposition, and shots that end up in row Z or hit the corner flag. I think he’s possibly technically the worst player we’ve ever had, worse than Bakayoko. The only thing that saves him from time to time is his pace, but then he should be in the olympics not on a football pitch.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 27th Apr 24 20:00 GMT
The sad fact is our front 3 of 5 years ago Willian, Pedro and Giroud would walk into this team even at their current ages of 35,36 and 37. That’s how sh!t we are.

Mudryk is a league 2 player and always will be. Said that ever since we signed him.

Would have preferred Chalobah in the centre with Disasi right back. Lets see how many mistakes Badiashille makes.
