We’ve won everything under the sun. , Take results as they come. Wouldn’t be over fussed if things went really bandy and we got relegated. If so would see the departure of Jonny Come Lately glory hunters, who only attached themselves for reflected success. Make this club real again. Btw guarantee if we did get relegated the atmosphere- or non atmosphere we have atm- would improve. In terms of fan power, this club is a shell of what it used to be.

Carvaiho was octopus arms. Constantly prodding and enveloping opponents, but sly enough not to get carded too often. A master of the dark arts

A Star is Born we all thought. Decent player but one paced. Remember the Oxford fans singing in their country bumpkins tones “ I’m Oxford till I die...I know I am, I’m sure I am.. I’m Oxford till I die” Geyser next to me pipes up with “ Oooh rrrrr...Ambrosia...”

Staying as close to West Stand as far as the corrugated iron would get you. The top bit was out of bounds for a good while for terrace compliance repairs, as was the lower bit by the East Stand. Shed capacity probably dropped by 4000 or so. Not that we had too many full houses granted.. Stupefying how we can spend £70 mill on an unproven winger now and couldn’t afford peanuts to renovate concrete terraces.

Just out of interest where did you stand in the shed? Started out in The Whitewall, flirted with the lower middle for a bit, then tea bar or further towards West Stand. ” We are the Whitewall Were going to Bristol Why don’t the Middle “

Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea
Both had superb debuts. Both could catch pigeons

What’s the ministry of propaganda’s explanation now?
It would be nice if the owners would explain their motives/ strategy. Roman as we know was a silent as The Sphinx. Can only remember a couple of public offerings during his entire tenure. The current owners came in guns blazing media wise- went public about projected investment levels, new stadium blah blah - won the bid- and have been relatively Harpo Marx since. No explanation of transfer policy- no questions and answers- possible they don’t want to show their hand for strategic reasons, but personally think it smacks a bit of “ f**k the fans. This is our club now”

Later on- ideally on a Saturday- not an early kick off obviously

The making of Pat Nevin
January 84 FA Cup Liverpool Newcastle. Was on telly. Ball got played over the top for Keegan- Mark Lawrenson gave him a 15 yard start and gobbled him up. Great player but his scotch eggs had gone. Made him look like Albert Steptoe with a curly perm

Doesn’t have to be Villa on 24th. It’s a long season ( Be a f**king long season if we carry on performing as we are)

The making of Pat Nevin
I think he said that winger must have glue on the end of his boots or words to that effect. Me mate found it funny and kept saying “ Pats got glue!” We were on fire that afternoon. Went to the return at St James’s which was well lively before kick off

Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea
Great debut. Phenomenal acceleration and speed to the point Athletics might be a better sport for the kid. He seems so amped up you expect him to come crashing through the TV screen.

There was an excellent if long winded YouTube blog posted last week on here which tried to explain the owners financial model, namely that they expect the book price to continue to rise despite massive operating losses. The same model is apparently employed by Netflix and others- go for growth- losses unimportant. Sounds a bit like The Wall St Crash; everyone betting the house on continuous rising stock value. No profit- who cares- jam tomorrow. Im no economist but wouldn’t be shocked if the roof caved in

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Agree with Mitrovic. I’m an old fart but remember reading about the great Liverpool teams of the 70’s and 80’s. When scouting they put emphasis on the character of a player. Alpha males with taches who could play the game but also roll their sleeves up. Formation and Poch aside we’ve got a load of unproven juvenile show ponies.

SW Trains hardly running. No ticket but planned to meet mates at the ground for a drink - sometimes think that the most enjoyable part of the match day experience is the pre and post match boozing and revelry. Looks like I’m now shopping with The Long Haired General 😕

We always thought her ambition was to shag a player. Coming back on the train from Goodson in the Cup she got involved with a fracas with another CFC fan- they stopped the train at Crewe for ages whilst Transport Old Bill intervened. A one woman riot!

Went there 83/84. Turned a corner and there was a transit van of blokes milling around wearing Viking horn headwear. A West Ham mate at school went there in 81, and was quite shocked by goings on, on the long walk from the station. A bit industrial and rough round the edges Cambridge, quite unlike the public perception.

That’s still their record attendance. Went there via National Express Coaches opening game 1982. We won 1-0. Didn’t win much on the road that season.
