Enzo Fernandez - not wanted in England, the Falklands or probably Argentina now
I would argue that when he was with us he was a consistent performer not given the opportunity. He didnt look out of place in our side. I was shocked we signed him, but thought he was actaully a good player who always put in a performance. We sold the wrong player last summer, hoping we done make the same mistake twice and get Enzo to a club his talents deserve.

World Cup 2026
Still think Brazil V Morocco was the best game so far, my second team this WC is Morocco because they were seriously fun to watch. The fact that Portugal still employs Martinez and he continues to pick Ronaldo is a crime against Portuguese and global football fans.

You're sinking with the Belgrano on this one. He's cak, id have taken KDH over Enzo this season every single game because he is reliable, doesnt go missing, is as effective or more at doing what Enzo doesnt have the ability to do. KDH delivers against top sides, regularly, Enzo doesnt and only performs well against clubs from lower divisions.

We will see how much the football community rates him when they all open the bidding for him around 100 million and demand he plays for them... We should start Limosine watch along the Kings road to see who's buying him... Shame Arsenal arent in for him.

Beg to disagree - trying to shoehorn him into the side at all costs has cost us in defence and attack. Will be glad to see the back of him.

Cuadrado did alright as a wingback in Italy... was gash for us. Cant say im a fan of wingbacks... Alonso has my full support until he plays Gusto as an inverted forawrd with license to no look pass/cross... then I will march both out onto the stamford bridge pitch and execute them by firing squad at dawn in front of the children's section. They must see what happens to football heretics.

Conte is sipping on his white russian & Victor Moses says hold my energy drink... But you're right, Garnacho cant stay awake on corner duty, let alone put in a defensive shift.

Marc Cucurella
Can't say Ive ever been impressed with him as a defender. All huff and puff and too many mistakes, and wasn't good enough as an attacking outlet. Certainly not the worst fullback to play for us but think there are better available and cant say im fussed he might be moving on.

Neto.... never going to win things no matter how good Ronaldo and the midfield are...

World Cup 2026
Looked a much better version of Matic. Absolute monster performance from him last night. Lost count of the times he faded or dropped a shuolder in his box to skin Brazilians, ran midfield last night. insane game pulling the strings. I thought Morocco looked very good last night, a bit lightweight but played some wonderful stuff. (actually sat through the Qatar game as well... wish i hadnt but glad they got a goal)

Is Martinez Belgiums answer to Sven Goran Eriksen's england failure? Still cant believe we didnt win anything with that side... Lampards non goal V Germany was probably the best chance of that generation to win.

Random Rumours
I actually look back at KDH and think really decent player. His output is comparable to Enzo's this season, Wasnt a bad signing... Agree Grimaldo wouldnt be a good signing.

Liam Delap joins Chelsea *Official*
I must be the only one on here who couldnt give a toss about a spurs player getting a broken jaw from one of our own players. Spence isnt going to win us the world cup and is lucky to be in the squad given Spurs were relegation fodder and shipping goals all season. He's a shocking defender.

Only issue with this is... Is Enzo a Jose type player.... I think not, and sadly, it will send me into a depression; he'll be here at the start of next season...

Joao Pedro
Sorry, dont make this more complicated than it needs to be. I have stated repeatedly on here, I dont think Pedro or jackson are good enough to lead our line. Others have celebrated Pedro's best premier league season, great, I think its an anomily, the player was also, it appears, loking for another club. You asked about a WC winger playing with Pedro and I gave you an observation on that partnership. Palmer has one assist all season to Pedro whereas he didnt with Jackson. Now either Pedro and Palmer cant play together, they dont like each other, or Palmer is so out of form he shouldn't be on the pitch. Take your pic. Enjoy the weekend bud..

Joao Pedro
Does it matter? You asked about having a WC winger and Pedro up top, we've had one supporting him all season (albeit in horrendous form). I posted the Jackson/ Palmer simply for comparison.

Joao Pedro
Saw this and thought I'd drop it here. Regardless of what we think of Jackson, he had a good relationship with Palmer and without that, Palmers form has also suffered. Anyhow, back to the cricket waiting for the world cup. Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have been one of Chelsea's most dynamic partnerships. In the Premier League, Palmer has provided 19 assists for goals scored by Jackson, while Jackson has provided 10 assists for goals scored by Palmer.

WC winger... on his day, full of confidence, that's Palmer... from nearly 2000 minutes this season, he has one assist for Pedro v Leeds. I said at the start of the season Gittens got a pass for me this year. Young player coming back to the Premier League from Germany, always thought there would be a struggle to adapt. Injury brought his season to an end. He, like a lot of players, really need to step up and perform, he owes the fans. the squad owe the fans. Think we really need to see how Alonso gets on in pre season now, all players probably get a clean slate and can start again but there are a few I never want to see in blue again.

Estêvão
Really hope this lad has a stellar season for us next year. Fingers crossed a summer off and a holiday see's him raring to go.
-
Joao Pedro
Really? Come on... have you and others forgotten what it takes to sustain a title challenge... You need a good defence and good attack. We have neither... Hence the league position... I'm simply reading a lot of posts, including you, from people defending a bang average striker like he's elite. Over six seasons he's not pulled up any trees. Like Gyokeres, the difference between our bang average striker and theres is that the Arsenal team is capable of defending and attacking as a team, they also have players who create and score all over the pitch. What do we have exactly?
-
Joao Pedro
OK... go through the numbers for Arsenal and see they have goals from all over the park that support Gyokeres' upfront. They conceded less than us (best defense in division) and scored more. Gyokeres was in his first season of premiership football, not his 6th.... Havertz is a big game player who delivers when it matters (as we all know) - Our big game players with best numbers have been pedro, Palmer (who had a stinker of a season) and the "box crashing" twat. https://www.espn.co.uk/football/team/stats/_/id/359/arsenal https://www.espn.co.uk/football/team/stats/_/id/363/chelsea

Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official NOW SACKED*
Even more reason to dispise the man... Cant wait to see city go backwards under him next season and Haarland to get his agent looking for another club.
-
Joao Pedro
not sure I understand the point you are making. Havertz scored for us in the Champions league final. Havertz scores big goals in big games. Jury is out for me on Gyokeres. Arsenal conceeding 27 goals all season tells me defense is one of their stregnths and probably why theyre top of the pile.

The same reason we signed players like Viallia and Zola... Hasselbaink... I think we're back in the mid 90's with this seasons finish. osmihen is playing in the turksih league, wont be on mega bucks as Turkey is broke AF... would have been available for the 100 million we spent last summer on our upgrades. Anyhow. going to give this thread a clear birth and forget about mid table mediocrity and enjoy the upcoming world cup.
