Man City told to go whistle again..
I think we should just take the bid out of it as well and we can continue in la la land.

Man City told to go whistle again..
And why is it you are calling for this wage cap now? I bet you werent leveling the disgusting wages in the league argument at Lampard last season. You have just got to take it unfortunately mate, you have been paying the highest wages in England for the last few years, now you dont. Im sure in a few years we wont either. On second thoughts :D

Tevez
Maybe not to you but he definitely is to me.

Man City told to go whistle again..
No sh*t. But like I said 250k is vastly exaggerated but if it makes you feel better we can agree he is being offered a Sun contract of 300k per week.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Why? Because we disagree? geezer has stated there is a very real possibility he will leave, if not he will negotiate himself a better wage. From a City understanding the salary is as described.

I dont think he will make us a top club overnight either, but he is certainly getting us noticed. No you wont be paying him 250k a week and neither will we. By all accounts his wage offer is equality with the top earners and then his sponsorship deal with Umbro. That just happens to make up a fair chunk of his 'salary' offer. So to you a mercenary is not someone who holds their employer to ransom for an increased pay check, and if his demands arent met he will come to us? I have always been of the opinion that Terry will stay at Chelsea with a bumper pay packet. If that is the case then using another clubs interest to hold the club you 'supposedly' hold dearest to your heart ransom doesnt define loyalty to me.

Ok I see the irony is completely lost on you then mate. All your players play for free then i take it? Lampard did not hold out for 150k a week to make him the highest paid player in the league until we signed Robinho, I imagined that one to. Ballack being a top Adidas asset had nowt to do with him signing either.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Well mate, im sure the irony is not lost on you, because if he stays, he will be on even more money than his current contract for showing "loyalty" so I hope you still sit on the greedy line.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Well something will have to happen by Wednesday as we fly out to South Africa. It will be over by then.

HAHA! God that guy is shyte! We realized that after about 2 games. I wish we had thrown him in with the RSC deal even if it meant having to pay a bit more.- Tevez
I didnt think I would be this happy having been certain of the signing, but you cant beat that feeling of it being confirmed. Im delighted. Just need some defenders now... :D- Man City told to go whistle again..
Oh I know we dont need the financial help but could you imagine the carnage for the likes of Robinho (Tevez, Adebayor, if and when they sign) If Terry comes in on nearly 300k a week? Sponsorship deals will move that obstacle out the way. It will have a fair bit of sway in the deal though.- Man City told to go whistle again..
Short, sweet and to the point. HAHA.- Man City told to go whistle again..
I read about it yesterday afternoon and cant say im swayed either way. It looks as though the intention is not to rely on RSC's fitness which is a good thing. He is certainly a tremendous finisher when he can be bothered, but i have always had a gut feeling he was a player we would be interested in, and be interested in moving to us as he epitomises the term mercanary. My best mate is an Arsenal supporter and when I text him last night, his response was, not bothered in the slightest. That in itself is alarming. Why dont you like him?- Man City told to go whistle again..
Not at all mate, Il go into some facts for you. Garry Cook used to be one of the chief executives of Nike and was the head of the Jordan brand. Umbro are now owned by Nike. We are Umbro's lead platform for their kits. Now who is the face of Umbro? John Terry. For umbro to have the England captain wearing Umbro only is a coup in itself and by all accounts they are making up half of the wage offer to Terry. You will see throughout my post history in this thread I have no need to clutch at straws as I have pretty much declared I dont want JT at our club for a few reasons. I just find the details interesting and make for a good debate.- Man City told to go whistle again..
I have never been able to see Terry leaving you, but I just cant help but think how unsettled you look to an outsider looking in. 5 managers in two years? That is a mental turn around and if in my job that was happening I have to say I would consider my future due to the lack of stability. However JT is Mr Chelsea and like I have said I dont see it happening, although I do hear that Umbro are also pushing him very hard as well.- Man City told to go whistle again..
HAHA, well I think there is going to have to be some developments to end this. We fly to South Africa on Wednesday and yourselves to America on Thursday. I imagine we will all find out how much of a pay rise JT has recieved by then.- Man City told to go whistle again..
Its amazing how heavily ridiculed I was for saying this a week ago. It would of saved a whole lot of bother. Whatever happens, can I ask if some of you have lost respect for JT?- Tevez
I see what you did there. Like i said, we are working through the paperwork at the moment. I would expect an announcement soon to counter the negative spin the press will put on the Eto'o deal.- Man City told to go whistle again..
Oh no, I do want to hear it, Ive always thought it was far fetched though. I still think he needs to say something on the matter for you lot. Im not arsed either way in all honesty. He is synonymous with Chelsea and I fully expect him to stay with a nice new contract to boot. You could tell from an early stage that if he didnt clear it up the media were going to jump, its exactly what they did. No matter what anyone says its not nice to see your club captains future up in the air all over the press. I know and you know its very very likely he will be a Chelsea player, but its very annoying if anything. My transfer priorities are to see the club complete the Tevez deal and then Lescott.- Man City told to go whistle again..
To be fair we pulled the plug on Eto'o, not many clubs would have the bollocks to do that. Barca were too tyed up in politics to realize we were serious with the deadline set. We have learnt very quickly how to deal with the likes of AC and Barca. I think the problem is the fact they elect club presidents. They can never be seen to be the bad party. It was quite clear Laporta wanted rid of Eto'o but he just couldnt admit it in public. ow they have a player who wants to leave and they want to sell, yet neither will publicly admit it. The loyalty bonus is an embarrassment of greed. Say what you like but im proud we didnt go wading in and settle it because we can. As for Terry, well it was a stupidly long shot, I have always maintained I want Lescott, if we got Terry then, wow, what an amazing bonus. Im glad we are in for these players. Its better than the dull boring transfer windows from years gone by.- Tevez
I reckon he still has a turtle head poking out though. We have done the right thing with eto'o IMO. Im quite proud of the way the club is not being messed around. We set them a 48 hour deadline, could see they were stalling and pulled the plug. I wouldnt be surprised if we end up moving for him but only if they come back to us.- Tevez
We have the agreements in place with Tevez and Kia. Whats holding the deal up is the paper work which is currently being scrutinized by the premier league and the FA. Remember how long it took for Liverpool to sign Mascherano and the rags to sign Tevez. We had the same problem with Jo last season. Its all but done. Hopefully to be announced by next week before we fly out to south africa.- Man City told to go whistle again..
Its becoming very apparent that Terry will end up with a bumper contract and everyone can come out smiling claiming their undying love for Chelsea. It looks as though things are moving on the Lescott front which I have to say im delighted about. - Tevez
