  1. Hmmm, yeh, alot of City fans were very surprised at that one. Myself included. There was a suspicion it was handed to him to try and smooth along contract negotiations. Every blue I know voted for Caicedo to win the award. Anyway the award got stolen from him on the night, the police are involved, not that he probably cares anyway. Good luck Studge.
  2. Something tells me we wont be trying to shove our way in on this deal :D
  3. Well there you go, good luck Danny. Hope he fulfills his potential at you lot. He has a bad injury history but I hope he grows through that and turns into a top player. Shame to see one that we nurtured move on but if he had to go anywhere then to you guys isn't so bad. I still think he is a moron though and await a mega sulk at some point soon. On a complete sidenote. There is a spurs fan on the forum I go on who turned up before the transfer window opened and somehow predicted Barry, RSC, Taylor and Tevez as well as lescott being a major target. He got rounded on and told to feck off by a large majority, mainly because people werent happy he wasnt listing superstars. Appears he is bang on. Taylor is the confirmation he is talking no sh*t.
  4. That was an utter disgrace. Lampard was sensational again, any midfielder that bangs in twenty plus goals a season for countless years on end should be recognized. Dont get me started on Ryan (greatest and most bestest player to ever play football, trademark by Andy Gray) Giggs PFA player of the year.
  5. Do you want to know the hilarity of the situation? Stevie wasn't even invited to award ceremony or told the location of the event.
  6. He recently signed a new contract which has put him in line with the top owners and deservedly so. IMO he was in the top 5 midfielders in the Premiership last year and it was a complete joke to see Ashley young win PFA young player of the year over him. Rant over!
  7. Top potential. Shocking attitude. You have been after him for a while though and it looks to be all but done to yourselves. There is a lot of hatred form City fans in his direction. He has been badly advised, not just throughout his City days but from his earliest contracts and trials. Im not going to lie and say he is poor because he is not. He is a young lad with plenty of potential and raw talent. Im not sure signing for you is the best idea, much in the same way if he wants first team football with us. Infinitely better than Wellbeck and Campbell but unfortunately a big headed tosser (not that, that matters on a football pitch). 70k a week were his demands. When you consider ireland played the season on 30k week you get the idea of how above his station he has become. Ok we have the money etc etc but he has made a handful of starts and put in some truly shocking performances in those games. If and when he signs, should he make some appearances, you will see a player attempting things that are far ahead of his ability and it will frustrate the life out of you. At City this year he fancies himself as the next Robinho, he is miles away from that but with the right guidance he could become very good indeed. Potential is the word and im disappointed to see him go, somewhere like Villa or West Ham would probably of been better but he has it in his head that he is the bollocks so we shall now see how well he does at the very top. As for the development clause, alot of it is to do with I think 30% going to Coventry. Bit of charity work <_<

Lescott is definitely a target. Upson I am not so sure. We have Nedum and can now drop Vinny into defense with Barry's arrival. Richards was awful last season. He will be lucky to survive the cull but i hope we give him another season to see if he changes his attitude.

Morning papers reporting it as done now. Just need confirmation. Hopefully it will come soon and end this saga. Its been going on ages if your a city fan!
  10. I would love Eto'o and Luisao, unfortunatly i just cant see it happening although luisao has openly expressed an interest in signing. Johnson is in my opinion vastly over rated. Good going forward but very suspect defending.

Indeed he is. And for the long betting explanation earlier we are back at 1-10 despite being in a supposed 50/50. To be honest I think betting is no indicator of a transfer but there you go. I would love us to take on Arsenal and our squad is shaping up nicely. We are short of experience though and I could see us falling away at the last hurdle. Im still very undecided on Hughes as our manager. Cheers for the welcome on here as well lads. I know how annoying rival fans are at times but I genuinely like Chelsea as a club. Delighted with the RSC signing today as our only other target man Jo was possibly the only striker in the world who was shorter when he jumped. Im still adamant we have Tevez as well. Im not even sure your interest is that real. Ive only seen paper speculation about yourselves where as we registered public interest a fair while ago. theres an interesting rumor doing the rounds that the signing has been planned over a time scale eliminating the big clubs one by one making us look as though we have been chosen above the biggest three teams in the country. I doubt it but I wouldnt rule out the possibility when Kia and Garry are involved.

This is where I should be going 'told you so.' in an infantile manner However, they are quoting the daily mirr-urgh. So therefore it is absolute bollocks.

To be honest lads I am extremly confident we have signed him. Betting odds have now drawn closer since Kia stated it was only yourselves and us in the running. Its a safe bet and I know City fans who are betting on you lot to sign him just incase something goes wrong. That will shorten odds on you and the people on the outside will bet on you as they see it as a 50/50 split between us and you offer the best odds. All the talk of grass roots and building a team up points to us. He rarely mentioned yourselves in his interview, it was always after some details about our infrastructure and the personal naming of our chief executive and manager. Dont forget Kia is very close to our owners and even brokered the Robinho deal for us much to the annoyance of Roman. We have been in for Tevez for a very long time and you are only a recent addition to the party. However at the end of the day, whoever gets him, its a victory in itself that we have managed to turn his head away from them. I've always liked Chelsea and hope you can win the league next season. Just minus Tevez :)

I think its exactly what we will play in all honesty. I can see us lining up with -------------------RSC Robinho-------------------------Tevez -----------Barry-----------Ireland -----------------De Jong Bridge---Nedum-------Dunne----Richards -----------------Given Hopefully with two new CB's. He wont be a wing man as such more part of a three pronged attack like barca. I cant see how he would get in your side ahead of Drogba, Anelka, Joe Cole, Malouda (on end of season form) It isnt a guaranteed place for him IMO. In actual fact i think he is a little over rated, part of me wants him to kick the rags in the bollocks.

Bellamy admitted in his first press conference that he understood he was signing for the now and is prepared to become an impact player. Perfect IMO as the little sh*t is never fit. Good player though.

I know, its just our tit of a chief executive constantly bangs on about being a marketing expert so in his eyes the opportunity of getting maximum hits on our website in its infancy as well as launching our new kit with a top signing just reeks of his personality. Aguero would be a stunning signing for you lot. I dont think you need Tevez and from a couple of things I have heard we already have an agreement for Herman in place. We shall see. RSC is a good signing as long as he stays fit and im delighted with Barry. Bridge has been woeful since he signed from you lot, Hopefully now with Barry he can cover for him from midfield with De Jong and put Kompany to CB instead of the calamity that is Richard Dunne. I think we will pick up either Lescott and/or Toure. Eto'o seems like a pipe dream but it looks as though we are serious in our bid. Wages are mental but its what we have to expect. Bellamy on 100k a week or eto'o on 192k? Worth it. Our midfield is sorted now. just need to get 2 or three top quality forwards, it looks as though our first choices are RSC, Tevez and Eto'o. Eto'o is the least likely but I honestly believe Tevez is nailed on for us. We are nowhere near the top, top players yet, but I do think we will push Arsenal this year, as long as we strengthen the defense. What about you lot? I've read about Mexes, Pirlo and Johnsson. Whats happened with Bosingwa? I thought he looked very good this year?

Il give you a couple. Guaranteed first team football. His family are settled in the north west. Kia has said he wants to join a club at grass roots and then went onto site Corinthians and West Ham. He also spoke of talking with Garry(Cook, our chief executive) and Mark many times. We launch a brand new website on July 1st in which top Man City reporter from the Manchester Evening News has left his post to join. It is also the day we launch our new kit. Can you offer him guaranteed first team football in which he will spearhead your attack? I dont think you can. Its pretty pointless betting on 1-10 IMO.

Oh its already started and im loving it. Ive just text them and hope it gets read out. "Its ok we still have PFA player of the year Ryan Giggs, he will make up the shortfall of Tevez and Ronaldo leaving. Mark - Essex." Hope it gets read out cause that ian payne knob is practically in tears on SSN at the moment. on a side note, new forum looks very nice!

Hello lads, long time no see. Looks like this is hotting up then. I personally think he is as good as ours and to be honest I want him at City so much, just hearing the scum fans literally crying and not understanding why players dont want to play for them, I just want to rip their hearts out now. we are the 1-10 favourites.
  20. Sorry to intervene but that kakuta is a top, top player!! I know you are well aware of that but he was a nightmare in the youth cup final last year. One of the best young talents i have seen in a long time. Hope you give him some game time soon. He has the potential to be brilliant.
  21. I know mate. McGarry has just been proven to be talking utter, utter shyte about the Robinho situation. Back page of the Sun claims Robinho has not been fined. Mark Hughes has just confirmed he has been fined. Hughes has been speaking about a certain papers reporting being appalling over the last few months.. Not hard to guess which paper that is really. McGarry was on the verge of being sacked when he ran with the 'Ramos to be sacked and replaced with Hughes' story. Some how he hung onto his job. The guy has an agenda with us, he may be accurate with Chelsea stories but he has no idea what is happening with us. What annoys me is that it is clearly bullsh*t, yet it still enrages me!
  22. I hope he has Bale like qualities for Spurs. Cant believe he has signed for twitchy, on a free!!! Twitchy doesnt like deals where fees arent involved!
  23. For some reason Ibrahimovic has been talking about us today, saying only god knows if he will sign for city? I was really puzzled about it.
  24. Fair enough mate but last week this paper was reporting that it never crossed Kaka's mind to join Manchester City. Today they're reporting that he'd have joined us on agreement that Hughes got the sack in the Summer and Mourinho was hired. Well we have a week to go, my bet would be that Drogba does not sign for us and Robinho stays. Not long to find out! However I suspect McGarry is spouting a pile of sh*t, Scolari's future is about as assured as hughes.
  25. Im getting tired of this story. It seems to be being peddled by the Sun with an agenda attached to Robinho signing for you. A swap deal for a 31 year old plus cash. Its the plus cash bit that gets me. Any amount of money we would be offered is immaterial to us. We don't need it which is why I can't see this happening. Drogba is worth nowhere near as much as Robinho, if we really want him, which I don't believe we do we will just offer you straight money rather than our best player. (apart from ireland :D
