I completely agree with you, Chelsea were a force in their own right and had won trophies without Roman. I am realistic enough to realize that we have an extremely hard job on our hands to get even to fifth in this league. We are now a scalp to everyone in the league despite not having the experience to deal with it. We need fighters to have a chance. Barry and RSC are two. Tevez is another. On paper we have the fifth best squad but spurs have had a great team on paper for years now and have done sweet FA with it. If we manage to get eto'o then our forward line and midfield is more than up to the job. We are clearly addressing the defence with the bids we have put in for Lescott and Terry. Personally i would be happy with Lescott. He does not bring the baggage that a Terry would. What I can see is the marketing opportunity that a deal for Terry represents. Christ DKW, you are not representative of all Chelsea fans. Reading across a fair few message boards there are insecurities. Just because you are comfortable it does not speak for everyone.
