Man City told to go whistle again..
Ancelotti looks a little lost from what we have seen of him so far. I think he is finding out a few things since arriving, one of those is certainly what Sturridge looks like from the way that pic on your official site looks.

Bang on.

Shevchenko
I think we can learn from your mistakes. We have now loaned Jo to Everton for another season. He played only a handful of games and although he was the only target man who was actually smaller when he jumped he does have potential. Instead we are allowing Everton to use an 18 million pound signing to spearhead their front line, strengthening a rival in the process and by all accounts it has nothing to do with our attempts to sign Lescott.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Err, do I really have to explain to you how it is you that has brought about the speculation? The offers were not made public, they were private offers made behind closed doors. Then out of nowhere at 11.30 at night you decided to release a press statement on your official site. Nobody in the media had a clue until then. That if im not mistaken is your own doing. Please show me any quote made by anyone official at Manchester City regarding the bid and I will not accuse you of being thick.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Ancelotti was never in a million years going to come out and talk about anything negative in his first ever press conference. He will have been briefed on what to say. The facts are that he hasnt spoken to his captain in a month. A lot can change in that time. There is no smoke without fire and it is yourselves who have started the media feeding frenzy, Why even bother? Chelsea have brought the speculation onto themselves wether you can admit it or not. I full expect the end of this deal to be Terry ending up with a nice new deal and a picnic hamper from Roman. I do not expect him to be the new City captain, nor do I expect him to even bother talking to us. If you look at this from a critical point of view all that today has said is the club do not want to sell Terry end of (again). Fair enough. John Terry can kill this speculation in a simple 5 minute phone call or statement re-affirming what your manager has said. He can dismiss it out of hand. Are you telling me you are 100% convinced by a manager who has been in official charge of your team for about 4 hours, who openly admits his last known conversation with the captain was a month ago and in his own book, admitted to lying to the press? This is different to the January bid. We have come back again for a reason. You cant deny that.

Sounds exactly like your press statement on Thursday night.

Man City told to go whistle again..
When was this? When he spoke to him a month ago?

Man City told to go whistle again..
What not speaking to him in over a month when there is intense speculation hanging over him? Ive always maintained there is only one way this will end. Of course he was going to tow the club line of he is not for sale. We all know the only way the transfer will happen is if Terry says he wants to leave.

An official statement on your website reads otherwise. 'I spoke with Terry a month ago when I came to the club and he said welcome. And after he went on holiday. I will speak with him because he is the captain and I want a good relationship with the captain.' A month ago? Still not any clearer for anyone.

Ancelotti's First Press Conference.
I thought he did ok, but his English left alot to be desired. You are right on the Terry issue, he basically went all round the houses but just repeated your statement from the other night. Its a shame he knew so little about Studge and Turnbull.

I completely agree with you, Chelsea were a force in their own right and had won trophies without Roman. I am realistic enough to realize that we have an extremely hard job on our hands to get even to fifth in this league. We are now a scalp to everyone in the league despite not having the experience to deal with it. We need fighters to have a chance. Barry and RSC are two. Tevez is another. On paper we have the fifth best squad but spurs have had a great team on paper for years now and have done sweet FA with it. If we manage to get eto'o then our forward line and midfield is more than up to the job. We are clearly addressing the defence with the bids we have put in for Lescott and Terry. Personally i would be happy with Lescott. He does not bring the baggage that a Terry would. What I can see is the marketing opportunity that a deal for Terry represents. The England captain, sponsored by Umbro wearing an Umbro England Kit playing for their flagship premier league club. Our deal with Umbro runs for 10 years and our kits are not a template and are made to the standard of the new England shirt. I can see why we have made the bid but I just dont see it happening.

I didnt realize signing for us would instantly prevent him from lifting the world cup.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Touche! He must of written the Eto'o story this morning containing many words like "if,could, might." and passed it off as a definite signing for Manure. Or the unamed source could be him, "Eto'o would never go to a mid table club like citeh the w**kers!!!!!!"

Man City told to go whistle again..
Thats nice, well done. Do you comment on stories on the news of the worlds site by any chance my little trooper?
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
You sound like an angry young man. Where have you come from is a question I could ask. You signed up a good 10 months after me.
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
I would agree with that had we commented on it. It's not a story we put out there though.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Those quotes are a week old and you know it. They were posted in here just after the news broke and they were days old then. Sky just adding a slant on the story like every other journo.

Not on a wind up at all. I understand it must piss you off but I just wanted to debate it and yes I wrote "gauge your reaction." But that wasnt intended as. "Oh look We have a bigger wallet than you so we must be getting Terry haha type sh*t." No. I meant it as I wanted to understand what the general consensus was. Im sorry for winding up the Americans by commenting on the use of the word "franchise" and soccer. But ridiculing the use of my language will only get you so far when you are claiming support to a British team. (I now see that I have indeed picked fault with the wrong poster) The fact is that I feel like a guest on the board, when something like this turns up it is something I want to debate. DKW feels as though I am constantly responding to him and him only but again, I just want some reasonable debate and it to be seen from a City perspective. Read back through the thread and you will see that I feel Terry embodies everything Chelsea and if he were to sign it would feel hollow, much in the way I see Shay Given as a Newcastle player. There is a lot to debate from my side and you lot have the better understanding of the situation than me. I wanted to talk about the Umbro connection but dont really see the point as Im set up for ridicule as soon as I mention something.

From someone who calls football, 'soccer' and uses the term 'franchise' you have no place to be commenting on how I comprehend the English language.
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
Yeh, shall I get onto the press while you pop over to JTs for a statement?
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
Well im sorry for my wording then. That is what I have meant all along. Personally I want to see this killed off one way or another.
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
Christ DKW, you are not representative of all Chelsea fans. Reading across a fair few message boards there are insecurities. Just because you are comfortable it does not speak for everyone.
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
Because there is a sense of insecurity creeping in maybe? We have gone in for him again, surely not without foundation to do so. Its now being picked up by the media, a mistake by whoever decided it was a good idea to publish a private bid publicly.

The Sun at it
Not upset in the slightest, just intrigued with the reasoning behind it as I tend to only read it rather than hear it. Cheers for your reply Virosh.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Sorry for my wording. I mean, at least he might have time to make a statement about not playing for Yeovil later today. You would hope he can clear some other stuff up while hes on the phone, no? Better?
