Man City told to go whistle again..
I read he was on Holiday in Tenerife? At least he has time to make a statement on why he wont play for Yeovil though.

Fans on the whole yes. Personally no. its never bothered me about the money with you lot. Some people just happen to be wealthier than others. I just think it sounds bitter in all honesty. When you came into all that money my opinion was to welcome the challenge. The fact we managed to beat you in Mourinho's first season was a great moment for me as you had become a huge scalp for an underdog like us.

I keep reading comments like the above. Not on here but elsewhere, I find it almost bordering on casual racism, Im not over reacting, but I just would like know why the need for it? Il be fair as its usually prefixed by the word "dirty," but coming from a Chelsea fan with their almost bottemless pit is a bit well, rich. (pun intended.)

Look at my sign up date and then check that date against our takeover.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Id like to think he used the word 'franchise' as detroitblue also used it. Americanisms make me shudder. Sorry city are coming. So I see the papers are full of it this morning, taking it into the public arena, where we can now enjoy the delights of Sepp Blatter and Michele commenting on the suns 300k a week story. Talkshyte doing what they do best. Everyone speculating on a third bid that Terry is 'reportedly' interested in. I know you all claim its not bothering you but the speculation would put a nagging doubt in my mind.

The above poster, that is exactly my line of thinking on it. He just epitomizes Chelsea. He is and always will be your man. I know people think im repeating myself, but this is why it should either of been kept quiet or JT made a statement. The media have gone f**king mental. 300k a week!! BOLLOCKS!!

Man City told to go whistle again..
Arsenal were sniffing around Ireland when his contract talks broke down. He would get in the scums midfield on last season over Park, Carrick, Nani, Anderson and Scholes. People on here have taken admiring glances at Ireland as well. Yourselves were linked with Kompany. De Jong is top, top quality, a player you have probably seen very little of by your comment. But this is a lad that had some of the biggest clubs in the world looking at him coming up to this summer. We just decided to jump in and get him early because we are mental with cash but the story goes that he would of signed a new contract with Hamburg ensuring a bidding war in the summer. We got there and paid the premium early to avoid all that as we would not of got him. He is the defensive midfield number one choice for the dutch. He reminds me alot of Makelele. He does all the simple jobs, has a very high interception and pass completion ratio. Our midfield is very good. If we get Eto'o, which is starting to look very likely at the moment, as well as Tevez. Lescott then we will be right up there IMO.

Midfield is poor? Barry, Ireland, De Jong, Kompany, Elano, Petrov, SWP? Ok mate. Defense is sh*t, il give you that. Its clear we are trying to do something about it though.

No offense mate, but I think there are posters on here that will vouch that I am not on here for a wind up and have never slagged off your club, such as that i have ended up with the status of closet chelsea fan. I like your club and your fans. i agree that perhaps to much is being read into it, but as i have stated i find the whole situation strange, it is now perfectly clear that City fans think there is something in it, your fans have foundation to believe its bollocks.

Man City told to go whistle again..
Alright then lads, well, its always been pleasant on here until now. Il leave it at that, I expect there will be no more posts in this thread then as it is officially not bothering anybody? I see im pissing a few off but that was never my intention. i just wanted to discuss it but that has seemingly run its course. Enjoy the window.

Like I said, he is your club. I just find the silence a bit strange. Club captain. Making no statement on a bid that has clearly rattled your cages. Im more hung up on the eto'o deal. But I like the talk on here as it stays on topic so like to gauge your reactions. The above Mail piece is old quotes regurgitated for the sake of the rejected bid. The silence is being noted now, as is the need to suddenly announce a private offer. like i said it could be killed quickly. I know you dont want to believe it, but it does need to be squashed by Terry.

Can you pop up the quotes about him being uncertain about his captaincy of the club having had no contact with Ancelotti? they were more recent. John Terry is one of Manchester City's top targets this summer. Photograph: Sang Tan/AP

Man City told to go whistle again..
He is your club captain. I would of thought that getting the word from the horses mouth would be better than let the speculation start mounting again. SSN are already drumming it up stating we have not withdrawn our bid and Terry yet to comment.

Man City told to go whistle again..
How hard is it for his agent to make a quick call?
-
Man City told to go whistle again..
Does it make you feel uncomfortable that Terry is yet to comment? Its just that if this was Stevie (closest thing we have to a Terry) I would want him to comment on the offer and put it to bed.

Your right it doesnt mean your stance will change.

Man City told to go whistle again..
i dont think that in the slightest but i find it strange how we have just left it with you. "Put a word in yeh Gaz?"

Man City told to go whistle again..
Sky reporting we have not withdrawn our bid... Something weird going on.

Touched a nerve?

Michael Owen to Man Utd?
Well he will be guaranteed an England place now, even if he is crocked. Worth the gamble however I find it hilarious that they are signing a championship striker on a bosman.

I completely agree with all the above. I have no idea why he would contemplate leaving you and can never see it happening. The guy is a legend at Chelsea. I can imagine him wanting to make amends for that slip in the champions league final even if it takes him to the age of 40. You make a good point that perhaps the red tops had gotten hold of it. All I know is what I have said. People can dis credit it but I did mention we were sniffing and the Bridge stuff isnt fantasy. To be honest, who wouldnt be intrigued by what is going on? We have all but got Tevez and Eto'o is close as well, as long as we can sort out the loyalty bonus, which by all accounts is getting close to being resolved according to the catalan press. But as for Terry, i'm not comfortable with us trying to sign him from you. In my eyes he will always be a Chelsea player. Its not the same level, but I just see Newcastle when I look at Shay Given. Edit: Because if Terry comes out and squashes it, then it will be left to lye. The press wont carry it on etc... In my opinion it will be better for everyone if he kills it flat. Kaka was adamant he was staying at Milan and told the press to leave him alone. A couple of days later he popped up at Madrid.

Man City told to go whistle again..
I don't think this is the last of it, unless JT comes out and publicly tells us to do one. The timing of the statement was very strange. Late at night and no one n the media talking about any kind of rumor. I can honestly say I dont expect us to get anywhere near him but something has gone on thats got you rattled. We wouldnt make a bid without having known there was an inkling of interest. Im not trying to provoke you with that last comment, but after the Kaka scenario we wouldnt just go flying in like it again. Our lessons have been learnt.

Man City told to go whistle again..
The above is true. But it is yourselves who have announced it. Not us.
