  1. We made a decision not to start Acheampong tonight. We made a decision to start Sarr instead, an [as close as you can be in this sport to being] objectively worse player with worse prospects. One player doesn’t make an utter c**t with no redeeming qualities look clever if he does well. The other does. Guess which is which. For the record, if I were a parliamentarian, and I were given the choice to vote on the following law: “It is the position of this house that all persons involved in private equity will be killed immediately,” I would vote AYE.
  2. I would bet you actual money (my own, not the taxpayer's) that he has at some point unironically referred to himself as a 'captain of industry'.
  3. Fitting that Caicedo and Fernández are both on the cover of this FifPro report into how physically overworked modern footballers are: https://media.fifpro.org/media/g3ppki1p/english_pwm_men-s-annual-report_digital_single_page.pdf Oh never mind, we're fine:
  4. Had this stuck in my head for the past couple of days:
  5. In context it's far less alarming: It would not be shocking for Jackson to be the next player left out based on his performances, but as the only other true striker on the squad aside of Harry Kane, it was thought that Jackson might have a leg up in sticking on the game day roster. If this report is true, that is clearly not the case. He also has a goal every 126.8 minutes in the league and Champions' League which as it so happens is almost identical to Cole Palmer's.
  6. A propos de nothing of course, Jim Ratcliffe is an obnoxious c**t with no redeeming qualities.
  7. After this we finally get a fortnight with only a single fixture per week. Once we get into March the FA Cup (assuming we win here) and Champions' League schedules resume and we're back to a game every three days. We've got a few players who have racked up quite a few consecutive starts (admittedly this partly caused by injury). Rest them here and they get a ten-day break before we play Burnley at home in the league on the 21st. As such the question, as ever, is 'how big a risk do we want to take with our starting XI? - do we entertain giving rare/first starts to the likes of Sharman-Lowe, Guiu or Sarr? We may also wonder 'who is actually available?' - we still don't actually know the status of James, Cucurella, Lavia, Adarabioyo or Jörgensen. Here's where we are squad-wise:
  8. Remember when he scored against Barcelona? Our presentation when we try to flog him should just be that goal on repeat.
  9. I would have thought you'd have come up with a 'Lomba squad' joke by now
  10. I was about to say Marko Marin but he was a corner specialist (honestly) so he could at least strike the ball well. Out of curiosity @loz - Garnacho or Hudson-Odoi?
  11. f**king c**ts (them not us, just to be clear). Private equity is for people with no talent or morals. As a positive - I believe we've found our starting XI (even better with Reece). Take your pick.
  12. Slightly soft penalty? The only thing soft right now is my cock when I take a look at your mother
  13. I know it's the private equity era, so you can have literally zero intelligence, but can we stop with this 'Pedro Neto can kick the ball competently' delusion? For f**k's sake
  14. WHAT DO YOU f**kING MEAN 'PEDRO NETO TO TAKE THE FREE KICK'????
  15. Pure sex from Gusto though, kudos to him. That miss was so bad I assumed it was Delap at first
  16. Genuinely couldn't tell whether it was Stevie Warnock, McManaman or Me
  17. Can't believe Rosenior subbed Fernández off on the hour, f**king amateur sh*t
  18. That was a cross, he'll pretend it was a shot
  19. Personally I still haven't forgiven Daniel James for that 4-0 against Man Utd under Super Frank seven years ago and so am glad his career has stalled. Come on boys, relegate these c**ts
