  1. Haven't seen this much speculation over a Tudor succession since Edward VI was dying
  2. This is a superb thread and every post is excellent.
  3. While I wouldn't blame fans for walking out over Sarriball, my first guess was 'the club isn't racist enough'; my second was 'we should have supported that cock ring falconer Mussolini guy'. I was there and I distinctly remember what Lord Finkelstein said and found him quite self-effacing: "Have you read my book? You can find it for £1 in the nearest LOROS".
  4. To be fair that's to cover his hefty Fixed Penalty Notice expenses
  5. My sick leave request has been refused. I claimed I have 'Jörgensenitis' which causes me to repeatedly make mistakes under pressure. I'm going to the union.
  6. I had no idea Alex Stepney played for us! Apparently he played one competitive game for us in 1966 (against Southampton). We signed him for £50k from Millwall just before the World Cup, then sold him to Man Utd for £55k three months later. Man Utd of course went on to win the title that season, then the European Cup the year after. According to Wiki, Tommy Doc's plan was to play Bonetti and Stepney in alternating games. As I wouldn't be born for another quarter of a century or so, my memories are a little more recent, however looking back at the man below feels a bit like a fever dream. I have a distinct memory of him putting in a heroic performance in a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa, which of course never actually happened.
  7. How is it Arsenal became the physical brutes with set piece mastery and we became the ones playing piss-pants football with the sh*tty goalkeeper?
  8. Genius really from Rosenior to start a blatantly inept goalkeeper against PSG, meaning that media attention is taken away from the hilarious incompetence of Igor Tudor, easing the pressure to sack him, which hurts Tottenham.
  9. Every Chelsea manager seems to go through a learning curve. After a particularly baffling performance from Sánchez, they will think 'well surely the other guy can't be worse?' only to find out that... oh, he is. Onwards and upwards, hopefully he'll know better going forward.
  10. Well... the first 70 minutes were good. Take your pick.
  11. Hahaha has Neto Hazarded the ball boy? Give it ten years, he'll own his own vodka company and be a millionaire
  12. Was about to suggest bringing on Garnacho for one of the midfielders - get a goal back now and we're still in it.
  13. f**king hell Lavia, what an introduction. Shame about the other sub
  14. Looking tired now, we're making mistakes in possessions. Surely time to make a change? Argh think Fernández was offside in the initial build-up
  15. For f**k's sake, we were pinning them back, so f**king stupid
  16. To be fair that's basically how Real Madrid won six Champions' Leagues in ten years.
  17. PEDRO f**kING NETO REDEMPTION Galloped past them like Seabiscuit
  18. I'm hoping they'll invite me to one of their cocaine, racism and slagging off Liverpool parties. Well done Jörgensen, pulled off the Petr Cech feint.
