Wrexham vs Chelsea (FAC) Saturday 7th March 17:45 GMT
Rosenior is aware that the objective is to win the match right? That XI is a bit f**king grim. That said, somewhat understandable that he'd pick this game to rest players in (see below for our March schedule), I just imagined a less... er... 'dramatic' set of changes: At least we're starting our best keeper. It may also be some comfort to know that Wrexham are resting/missing a few of their big hitters too (three of their top five scorers in the league aren't in the starting XI). Good to see both Lavia and Essugo back, we may finally have some midfield depth so we don't have to start Caicedo/Enzo fifteen times in thirty days like we did in January. Will be curious to see how Hato and Acheampong get on as (presumed) wing-backs. Never fear, Garnacho will score a hat-trick and get MOTM. Santos or Acheampong should be captain though. P.S. The Rodriguez on their bench is the now 36-year-old Jay Rodriguez. He has scored against us four times over the course of his career.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2025/26
Oh my God it's f**king happening isn't it? Looking forward to the two weeks of sick leave in May for the terrible case of priapism I'm sure to be afflicted with.

Joao Pedro
The only similarity is that Reece James (our best right-back) would remain in the middle alongside Malo Gusto (our second-best right-back). Pedro Neto (our second-best left-footed winger) would be the one providing our width on the right. The latter couldn't make that run because he'd be trying to make his way past some combination of Rogers and Luiz before he even gets to skin Maatsen.

Deliberately omitted as I actually rate him. Would swap him for Delap in a heartbeat.- Joao Pedro
Haha I thought of you the second time (I think it was Gusto?) slid the ball across the box for Pedro to knock in. Crazy what can happen when you actually create chances for your striker. Who knew?- MOTM vs Aston Villa (A) (PL)
Who knew that a team with Ian Maatsen, Ross Barkley, Jadon Sancho, and Winston Bogarde's nephew would lose to the real thing? Take your pick.- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
Delap fouls the defender on the counter attack after a tragic touch alert- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
I was also 'late home from work' so I'll have to let you know after the final whistle.- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
I agree with all of that. My friend (actually the friend who introduced me to whisky) has moved up to somewhere or other in the Paisley postcode to become a sous-chef. He's invited me up to visit but has (justifiably) stopped drinking. Would it be unethical of me to suggest a visit to Islay (and also Campbeltown where my grandfather was born) while I'm up there?- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
I must admit that I haven't tried any other Isle of Skye whiskies (other than the 10-year-old Talisker) but it has a unique character which is smokey but not quite as peaty as the Islays (of which I am really rather fond). Pedro loves an overhead kick. Can't blame him. Villa bring on another former Chelsea player who under less private equity circumstances would still be playing for us. Can't blame them.- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
Statistically speaking this is really just a reversion to the mean for Villa. Can't rely on Morgan Rogers to twat in a ridiculous shot to win you the game every single week for an entire season. I am very, very pleased that we're giving them a kicking as they are surely the most likely to yield a place in that top five. This is a fantastic result if we can hold it together.- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
On the arse end of a bottle of Talisker myself. Was about to say that they are now hugely imbalanced and our current XI is brilliantly placed to take advantage of that. Unselfish from Garnacho, was expecting him to have a go.- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT

Big Trev is a f**king hero, anyone who says otherwise is just ignorant- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
f**kING YES I thought 'our good players are combining here' and Garnacho did well to create space- Aston Villa vs Chelsea (PL) Wednesday 4th March 19:30 GMT
We've done them religiously since that cup final extra time (genuinely can't remember which one) when we saw Liverpool doing it and thought 'oh sh*t, maybe we should do that too, it'll look good'. Glad it's gone full circle as per @Liam's missive above.- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2025/26
Joe Cole walked so Foden, Palmer, Eze, etc. could run (off the ball)- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2025/26
Over the last two weeks Wolves have done more to bolster our top four/five hopes than we have. (If you could knock the c**ts out of the FA Cup on Friday too that would also be appreciated).- Liam Delap joins Chelsea *Official*
So, so poor at the fundamentals. Reckon we can flog him to Boro if they got promoted?- Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) Sunday 1st March 16:30 GMT
Excellent, thank you. Apologies, you were my first choice but I didn't want to bother you during Lent. I figured @Valerie was likely the sort of Calvinist who leaned towards 'predestination renders choice moot so I can be as decadent as I want'. Anyway, Arsenal beat us on dead balls this evening, however after seeing the goth oddities at the pub (who I assume were assembling before some sort of white makeup and shouting concert), I think I can assemble an XI to beat them. - MOTM vs Aston Villa (A) (PL)
