Man Ure lose to Derby
Apparently Man Ure put in a real shocker against Derby in the League Cup 1st leg and lost 1-0. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/l...cup/7808017.stm Of course, they'll probably tonk them in the home leg, but still... any day which involves Man Ure losing is a good day. Is this a good omen for us or does it mean that Man Ure will come to our game on Sunday with a vengeance?

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
I heard Anelka's planning a ton of blow-up goals to taunt Van der Sar with.

So no one wants to see both Cashley and Belletti starting? :D Cronaldo's going to have a hard time if we play both of them...

Lionel Messi
Wasn't he our player of the year last season? :S

Is Scolari doing all he can?
Ashley Cole on the left with Belletti at LB? Or Cech ;)

Scolari. What to do?
I think I said this in another topic, but despite my frustrations, we should keep him due to lack of a better alternative.

Zhirkov to Chelsea Confirmed
----------------Cech Ferreira---Terry----Carvalho---Belletti ----------------Mikel---------------------- --Cole-------------------------Ashley---- (left bloody footed) -------------Lampard--------------------- ----Drogba-------------Anelka----------- Sorted. If Ashley Cole gets injured, stick Cech out on the wing for the ultimate left footer.

Is Scolari doing all he can?
My only problems with him are: 1) Sticking to a formation that is going down the pan. Also sticking with players who are clearly off form (case being Deco or Ballack) 2) Dumbarse subs, for lack of a better word. I love Belletti as much as anyone on here, but is he really the man we need (especially when you take Joe Cole off...) when we're chasing another goal and Stoch or Di Santo are on the bench? He only fires in those 30-yarders once or twice a year... 3) Refusal to play Drogba and Anelka together. Why? Seriously, why the hell not? From what I've seen they compliment each other and the rest of the team brilliantly. Joe Cole in particular thrived in the one game he got playing with them in a 4-4-2. Now I could live with '2', but the other two are really starting to get on my tits. I don't mean Ranieri-style constant tinkering, but at least show the balls to change things around when they're clearly not working. I don't want him gone (mainly because the alternative is only going to be worse), but I'm losing patience with him fast.

DROGBA
Can we let him get a string of games together before we jump on his back again? No matter what anyone says, the man is an incredible footballer and I still believe him and Anelka can forge a partnership this season... if only that damn muppet Scolari would give them the chance.

Correct score poll/bet versus Man Utd
For the sake of making a positive prediction, if you need a tie-breaker or something, feel free to change my vote to 2-2.

Robben shows us what we're missing
Here's some footage of Kakuta. Only YouTube, I know, but he still looks like he has pace, bags of skill and the courage to take people on. I have to say his final touch doesn't look all that though after he's beaten the man... a few wayward crosses in that video. A couple of nice finishes as well though!

How many feel like....
I'm pretty sure Scolari would still stick Belletti on. Not that I would complain about that, mind you... his finishing is probably better than some of the embarrassing stuff Malouda has unleashed on us this season...

Correct score poll/bet versus Man Utd
Votes so far: W: 0 D: 1 L: 3 I love the wealth of confidence we have in the team. :D

Correct score poll/bet versus Man Utd
3-0 Man Ure, I reckon. And the beginning of their surge to an insurmountable lead by the end of February... Unless we raise our game...

FA Cup Draw
I don't know what to say... to be honest any draw is a bad draw and would leave me pessimistic. ¬____¬

How many feel like....
To be perfectly honest, I think finishing second right now would be a successful season.

FA, Chelsea vs Southend, 03/01/09, 1500 GMT
We are an absolute f**king joke all over the pitch. Our attackers have been spurning scores of chances since the beginning of the chances, but now our defence can't even deal with a high ball from a team two divisions below us? Burnley, Spuds, Arsenal, Dippers, West Ham, Everton, Newcastle and Fulham were bad. Very bad. This is just embarrassing. We can't beat a League One team at home. Screw the title. We need serious change and NOW. What can we do though? We're a team of waning and ageing stars with no money...

Giles has to look at the present through blue-tinted glasses as well though, seeing as he's on the official site. :D It was kind of refreshing to read though...

Agreed, but if we're having trouble then we all know who Scolari's going to stick on. :) Unless we're really coasting it, I doubt we'll see Di Santo today.
