AC Plot Alex Move?
I really really rate Alex very highly and don't want to lose him. However, if we get £15million or so for him... I might just accept that...

Zhirkov to Chelsea Confirmed
Yes. I figured with everyone else up attacking, we'd need some defensive steel at right-back instead of Bosingwa bombing forward.
- Defoe
- Wayne Bridge

A thread to follow our nearest league rivals
Six points and further adrift in second, apparently... ¬___¬ And I wouldn't count on three points against Man Ure

Scolari needs to carry the can heading into the New Year
What an utter prat. Petr Cech is playing some of the best football of his career. We'd be third at best if it wasn't for some of his performances this season. (see: Everton)

Who will cause a Cup upset?
Neither can I actually.

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
I'd stick Belletti in for Bosingwa. Or play Bos at RW if we're going to use him. With Belletti's experience and general awesomeness, he should be able to stop an off-form CRonaldo. And we all know how good Cashley is against him

Half Time Report - Who Has Impressed/Disappointed Most
Well neither would you if you were wearing all pink.

Half Time Report - Who Has Impressed/Disappointed Most
Impressed: Cech - Possibly his best season since that first season under Mourinho. He's been consistently excellent, and has been so quietly, having been stripped of his popular crown of 'Best Keeper in the World' due to a single error at the Euro 2008. He still has my vote... Ashley Cole - The best left back in the world, imo. Works hard, defends well, and attacks just as skillfully as some of our useless wingers should... Anelka - For sheer improvement. Disappointed: Ballack - Hasn't showed the hunger or the flair of last season and goes down too easily under challenges. I think he might finally have lost it. Kalou - A single good game aside (against Man Ure) he's been even worse than his own poor standards this year, and I'm getting tired of him... Offers absolutely nothing when he's on the pitch. A massive disappointment considering his great promise. Scolari - I think given the choice I would keep him at the moment. But some of his tactical decisions are just so damned stupid they make me pull my hair out. He doesn't drop players who have clearly been off form, and sticks to a broken formation, when we have a budding striking partnership between two of the best strikers in the world (Anelka and Drogba are excellent together... I don't care what he says) which he refuses to acknowledge, and instead plays losers like Deco, Ballack and Malouda week in, week out. If he had some brains and some balls, I'd be much happier...

Boy did I ruin that Sorry Lamps

Getting rid of Mourinho
Yeah but even Mourinho can't deal with the tactical might of CHRIS COLEMAN. Seriously, if that had been today's team, we'd have lost at least 6-0. Scolari's a rank amateur compared to COLEMAN. ;)

MOTM vs Fulham
I'm not quite sure why Mikel does get so many votes... I mean, he's been better this season, but I don't think he's necessarily been the best so consistently.

MOTM vs Fulham
I'm not 100% sure actually. Anelka was pretty damn good in the second half, but Lampard is the obvious one, although I don't feel he was as effective as he could have been in the first half.
-
Wayne Bridge
Can't we flog Ferreira instead? It's not as if he's doing anything at the moment... and he'll never be in the same class as Belletti.

PL, Fulham vs Chelsea, 28/12/08, 1400 GMT
Why was he moaning at the officials? The ref was damn good today. Didn't put a foot wrong in the first half... Just saw the Dippers highlights... more luck as usual. The scoreline was more down to Newcastle being absolutely abysmal than their own proficiencies (Hyypia's header was almost identical to Dempsey's, for example...). Although I will admit National Traitor's goal was pretty damn good. Awesome finish, but embarrassing defending to let him in. Isn't that just a summary of their luck this season? They play Newcastle when they're at their weakest ebb... half their squad out injured and morale low, and we play them just as they hit form and their defence/Shay Given puts on a masterclass. f**king typical...

Why was Drogba just booked? :S

PL, Fulham vs Chelsea, 28/12/08, 1400 GMT
And you doubted Scolari ;) Genius sub there, putting Kalou on, and taking advantage of Lampard's unparalleled ability to hit the ball at the wall from free kicks by standing in the wall then bailing (H)
