watching Champions League Weekly last night it said Robben would miss both legs and Ballack was struggling to make the first leg and Sheva was out. I know this is recorded in advance and they said that Bellamy is a doubt for us despite him playing the last 20 mins on saturday, so can i discount this as bullsh*t?

I'm not going to get into a discussion on things of which i know absolutely nothing, but what relevance does hooliganism in distant years (when the whole of this country and many others seemed to be blighted by the problem) have in debate today. I know you will point to revelling in one side of our history and pushing the other under the carpet, but i think that is a good thing to do. Success is to be revelled in, embarrassing chapters of history are best forgotten, or at least put to the back of minds with rememberence to learn from. Yep, the butterflies are already there and they're only gonna get worse. Trying to forget about the Newcastle (non) performance. That's the trouble with the league and why it's so difficult to win. You have to be up for every game and normally to be fair, we are. You can afford the odd slip up here & there but not now we're at the stage we are. But it is understandable how some times, the team is a bit flat. Can't use that excuse for a Champions League semi final though and if anyone puts in a sub standard performance, that will be hard to accept. Who knows how Mourinho will play it. Essien is out, we know that. Hoping Carvo will be back as I won't be at all comfortable with Boula playing. Will Diarra come back in at right back - personally I hope so and I would prefer Bridge to continue at LB but expect Ashley to get the nod. As for midfield/attack we all know JM likes to keep it as tight as possible and who knows, he may be happy with a 0-0 at The Bridge? That's why I reckon the flair players such as Joe, SWP and maybe even Kalou will be on the bench. JM is happier having them on the bench so they can come on and change the game if need be, rather than have a Sheva or Ballack who chances are won't be able to change things. Is Robben meant to be anywhere near fit for this - perhaps for the bench? If I had to select a starting 11, it would be: Cech Diarra JT Carvo Bridge Maka Mikel Lamps Joe Kalou Drogba Bench. I wouldnt be too concerned about right back, we dont have much strength down the left flank, it is the pace that will be important to you as Bellamy whould start (in my opinion) and will run anything down the channels. I think your centre half pairing will determine whether or not we really try to get a goal. Rafa has been happy with 0-0 away in Europe many times, but as we saw in the Nou Camp this year, he can surprise us with his set up. I hope Joe Cole doesnt play as he is a flukey player, which is always a worry in a game as tight as this will be.

I'm only 25 and i've seen us win a league title, admittedly it was a while ago, and admittedly it was called something different, but i definately remember it! Rob, not that i should have to explain myself, but i am coming up to 24. Only starting getting into football, and felt old enough to understand what it was all about come the age of about 10? So no, never had the pleasure of consciously watching any Liverpool captain lift a league trophy. Which is nice. ive got some good videos if you would like to borrow them. And already I know that many of the more frequent visitors to this forum have been supporting the club for as long, and some for much longer than myself. I don't know how old Elliot is, but I've seen enough of his contributions to know that he's not a JCL, and neither as I've already pointed out, are the majority of those contributing to this forum. Maybe he was referring to the Premiership title, which Liverpool have never won. To hear bitterness from Liverpool fans, you've only got to listen to the average football phone-ins whether on Talksport or 5Live. This impression is fostered by the your lot constantly harping on about history. Never mind the chant of: "Poor old Chelsea FC, you ain't got no history." I love the way that from the TV pictures that show Gallas' standing foot being about an inch from the goal line, they deduce that he was standing a foot and a half from it. Absolutely brilliant. Whether or not it crossed the line, I have no idea, i personally think it was probably about 60 percent over the line so probably not a goal, but to use that as evidence and to suggest it is NASA technology is highly f**king amusing. Our approach away from home has cost us the chance of competing this year, we are as good as anyone at home. That's right. After 10 games you'd conceded 7 more goals than us, scored 5 less goals than us, giving you 9 less points than us. As well. i thought id made that point?
