Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
I don't see whats wrong with a few comparisons regarding the different agenda the press sometimes has towards us and other clubs, a forum is a place to get things off your chest and it doesn't have to be everyones view to be worth a mention. Maybe this thread should be reserved for homely little conversations with the opposition fans where we give them an outlet for some boasting as if they would be here with their Chelsea friends if they were mid table? Agree or not with media conspiring against us, its part of most fans beliefs and highlighting the instances is as near as we can get to hitting back when it happens (which to an extent it certainly does).

All the best to Butch, great player and likeable bloke who to this day is our only undefeated manager.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
I can't stand Barca and usually would be wanting City to win that game but found myself quite happy at the result last night, the new found over confidence of the fans and management with the talk of doing the quad is wearing pretty thin, I'd happily watch Arsenal suffer the same fate and have us take our chances knowing that staying in the competition when these two have gone out might make them stronger in the league. I f we use the squad a bit better I still think we can compete, Salah and Matic can't play CL anyway which means two are rested in CL games so if players like Shurrle and Ash came in a bit more I think we can cope. I usually reserve supporting non EPL teams in the European competitions for those playing Liverpool or UTD but this season that's gone out the window.

The biggest problem I can see with that mac (assuming we could bring back two of them from beyond the grave) would be getting Adolf and Pol to stand next to that other c**t.

Sign of the gooners being so happy to have got as far as they have...that was their final.

I'm starting to see why you post on here instead of a gooner site...even they would get fed up with your ridiculous confidence. It's winning trophies that breeds confidence not having a dizzy spell at the top of the league here and there, when you, sorry if you win something then maybe a bit of confidence would be understandable, at this stage its laughable.

Wenger: A Specialist in Failure
This might be the best squad Arsenal have had for a while but it's still far from being great and I doubt you'll have your name on any trophies for a good few more years. I seem to know a lot of gooners who have all come bravely out of the woodwork but first sign of the inevitable slump and they like you, won't have much to say. in my more humble than your opinion, both the Cups are likely City's and the only team who can stop them doing the double is us, The CL trophy won't be coming to England.

Wenger: A Specialist in Failure
I expected you to get through today but the way you talk about beating teams with ease is wearing thin. Liverpool again today looked the better team and when your cup run comes to an abrupt end be it next game or the final and they have overtaken you in the league, you'll have got what your overconfidence deserves.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
City having some players back helped them but lets not go overboard here, we looked a totally different side and that wasn't one of those games I'd say something like "yeah but credit to the opposition, they made us look bad" without any sour grapes as I'll admit City are a great side but we just didn't turn up. Two games ago we looked like we wanted it, we went there and proved the title isn't going to be handed to them by teams rolling over at their place and hoping to get a result at home, we went with a plan and the players executed it to a man. I wouldn't give a toss if we'd set about the game in the exact same way and got beaten, I won't believe because they sat a bit deeper and Garcia opened the path for Toure to run riot that we suddenly turned into a lightweight bunch, easily brushed off the ball and with hardly any attacking intent or ability to spot a pass. The whole team looked like it had come off the back of about fourteen games in three weeks and the regression of Ramires even in his less favoured position is getting worrying. I honestly think Sunderland will put in a better shift in City's Cup match with them. I don't normally get too miffed about a loss and I can usually find positives but gutless performances that still didn't get anybody rested make me scratch my head. I thought we ended up drawing with West Brom because we thought we were too good, surely the players know they have to get right up for games like todays.

If they win the first one I think the last of those is in the bag .

Losing to City is no disgrace or surprise, our performance on the day though was dire and as far from the last performance there as you could possibly imagine. That's what hurts, not that a very good team put a couple of goals past us at their place.

I think we had some jaded players out there and we have become overly reliant on Hazard, not only tiring for him but a huge amount of pressure for a young player. I'd like to see more of Shurrle, he's contributed enough to show he has ability and a bit of belief in him might do wonders. Matic and Luiz should be played together, we need to get a proper spine and keep the same back seven for a few games, nobody is getting used to a role as they keep changing positions. I really think the three in midfield let themselves and the team down today and made City look better than they are.

If you discount the first three teams .

MOTM vs Manchester City (A) (FAC)
Cahill for me, Dave although had a couple of errors looked at least up for it, I did notice when he attempted to pass the ball he had his head up so that puts him above most of the lads today.

I'm surprised Ash is getting totally forgotten when we could have had Ivan beside Cahill and Luiz in midfield, not singling out Luiz for a bad game but our midfield three including Matic were all below par today and I think Luiz and Matic are starting to look like our best pairing there.

To be fair we were bad against WBA, we just can't cope with teams who get at us quickly and chase everything, City and West Brom both attacked the player with the ball very quick like we did in the league game with City. I don't know why we haven't kept that up in the last two games, what's the point of starting Ramires and William if that isn't the plan.

We looked like a very tired little horse today, it has shown there is a long way to go and we certainly have work to do.

If Jose wasn't in it to win it it would have been a very different line up, Shwarzer should have started and Cahill should have been rested after the knock he was carrying.

Man Citeh v Chelsea (FA Cup) 15/02/14 KO 17:15 GMT
Blaming individuals in a performance like this seems pretty pointless, we've been second to everything and players subbed on have had the same mindset...they have looked resigned to losing and lacking the motivation to give it their best. Unusual for a Jose team, It looks like a virus.

Man Citeh v Chelsea (FA Cup) 15/02/14 KO 17:15 GMT
Odd type of performance without many good showings, Azpi and Cahill aside, Slah and Torres subs have made no impact at all and unless we score in the next five minutes I think we can start concemtrating on the other two competitions.
