Following Our Nearest & Dearest Rivals, 2016/2017
Tuned into talksport hoping to find commentary on Wednesday vs Villa and they have Patrick Collins on. He's invoked Hitler when asked about Fergie being similar to Mourinho and mentioned Anders "tax dodger" Frisk. Or it might be Patrick Barclay, who wrote the unauthorised biography.

One wonders what Jose would have made of the ref at today's Winchester City match. A lanky chap with a chavvy, permanently gormless expression (the sort of person you see being chucked out of Wetherspoons at 11pm on Saturday night), he missed several handballs by the Slimbridge striker, a foul on Winchester's number 8 in the buildup to a Slimbridge goal, and two Slimbridge players switching numbers without telling him.

What TV Show Are You Waarching?
Watched Trainspotting Live last night. Fairly good, but fell flat in some places. (Such as the physics lesson midway through).

Well, I expect we can confidently say that Non-League Finals day was a huge success.

But in the Non-Leagues, the games get called off at this time, either due to the weather or the ref preferring to spend the afternoon down the pub.

Don't worry about FFP. It'll only be enforced if we go 35p over our Twix budget, resulting in a 10 year ban from Europe and an infinity-point deduction.

It would be really funny if Rafa got replaced by RDM...

They had the highest attendances in the Wessex League last season, but Hereford get many more and that was at the same level.

The Southern League constitution has been decided and next season, Winchester will be rubbing shoulders with Salisbury and Hereford.

Winchester lost 1-0 at Banbury so the season is now over. In the Southern Premier playoffs, Redditch lost on penalties to Leamington; apparently the fans took the defeat with very bad grace and tried to attack the Leamington supporters, and tried to stone the minibus (but waited in the wrong place).

In Southern League Division 1 South & West, Winchester travel to Shortwood tomorrow with the final play off spot in the bag after a 1-1 draw at Slimbridge on Wednesday night. Cinderford sewed the title up on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win over Taunton. Banbury vs Taunton is one to watch out for tomorrow; City will travel to whoever wins that (Banbury if it's a draw). The relegation spots are confirmed as well, all that's left is to see if Bashley can get their first league win of the season.

Chelsea vs Man City (PL) Sat 16th April, 17:30 GMT
I am going to listen to it on the radio, but I can't be arsed fighting my way through a crowded pub at 5:30 on a Saturday.

I can't really be arsed with this game, or any of the remaining ones this season.

And after City went ahead after 30 minutes, they were denied a clear penalty on the hour mark before Havant equalised with 7 minutes left and won on penalties. Bugger. At least Evesham lost at Bishops Cleeve, meaning a win on Saturday against Larkhall will secure a playoff spot.

Just over three years ago, Winchester City were close to folding. Today, they take on Havant & Waterlooville in the Hampshire Senior Cup final, having defeated Folland Sports, Eastleigh, Sholing and Fleet Town on the road to St Mary's. Three years ago tomorrow, they played their first game since being saved, losing 3-1 at home to Bridgwater. 139 people turned up at the prospect of free football; might have been more had it not chucked down with rain! Incidentally, Winchester faced Bridgwater, at home, on the first day of this season, and won 7-2 after going 5-0 up-all 5 goals courtesy of Warren Bentley-in the first 42 minutes.
