  1. Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the wages thing. I honestly thought Gallas's biggest complaint was about being played out of position.
  2. No I don't remember anything about Gallas turning down a pay rise either. I thought what started him off was being played out of position? Yes I'm sure that was it because I remember noticing when he went to Arsenal Wenger played him at right back but of course Gallas never said a word about it. I'd like my memory of Gallas to be of when he was good for us but because of the way he left and everything since I really can't stand him.
  3. Essien for me too. I thought Anelka was outstanding again though so i might have voted for him if he had played the whole game
  4. Essien again makes it 3-0.this is too easy!!!!!!!!!
  5. I'm glad it won't happen but not because they're both Scottish teams. It's like you say they already have Welsh teams playing in England and Berwick is in England but they play in Scotland but I think maybe this is because of travelling, like they're a lot closer to even the most northern Scottish team than a most English teams. About the Welsh teams i think maybe this is because they only have amateur or semi-pro leagues in Wales. I think Celtic and Rangers are both so huge it just wouldn't feel right for them to play in England even if they had to start at the bottom and work there way all the way through to the Premier league.
  6. hi I notice there are a lot of Scottish members on this forum so I wondered what people think about Celtic and Rangers playing in the English league. Like should they be allowed to go straight into the premier league or should they have to start lower down, and if they did play in England would it be fair on the Scottish league to lose their two biggest teams? There's an article about it on the BBC website http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/8353937.stm
  7. It's ok I can see how you could of thought thats what I meant
  8. I think it's quite common. Everyone says West Ham play at Upton park but their ground is actually called Upton Park. This is from wikipedia If they did change the name of Stamford Bridge it wouldn't be Chelsea fans it would be TV and the press who would use the new name and then I guess so would everyone else because people always copy what they see on tv.
  9. Yes I know. What I meant was Di Santo and Sturridge are good enough to cover for Kalou but no wway are they good enough to cover for Drogba.
  10. "Di Santo and Sturridge have shown that they are more than capable of covering for Drogba" Are you sure you don't mean kalou?
  11. Honestly I think Ashley Coles injury had a lot to do with the way we played yesterday.
  12. Ashley Cole was already injured before yesterday and now he'll be out for a few weeks. He needed an injection to play which obviously must have made it a lot easier for Man U to deal with him and also had an effect on our style of play, especially when we were missing Bosingwa as well.
  13. Players like Johnny Evans did a good job in getting away with murder.
  14. John Terry, proper captains performance
  15. omg that referee was awful. That Evens shoudl of been sent off TWICE. We should defo had a penalty when Drogba was booked. And I bet old red nose will still moan they didn't get the decisions.
  16. Carlo Ancellotti says he's happy with the squad as it is so he's not signing anyone in Januray. I really hope he's bluffing especially with Drogba and Essien being away then at the African Nations. What does everyone else think?
  17. I'm wondering if the club expected this and that's why they announced yesterday about selling the Naming Rights on Stamford Bridge. So like the money we get from the Naming Rights would pay for new signings.
  18. I don't really know because I wasn't around in those days but the impression I get is that Greavsie was almost entirely "just a goalscorer" and I'm not sure if there's a place for that kind of player in the modern game. Don't shoot me, I may be way off the mark here but I think possibly someone like Gary Lineker would have been a close equivalent.
  19. I think this is going to be the biggest and most important game of the season so far. Forget last night, scoring 17 in 4 raised everyone's expectations but scoring 4 for the 5th game in a row would have been kind of unreal. If we win there'll be a nice little gap, but if we lose we're back in second place and the boost to their confidence will be massive. We simply HAVE to win.
  20. After tonight we *have* to sign Aguero!!!
