Very good all round performance, but Essien stood out a mile. It was great to see him in his natural position for once, he was unstoppable.

Well, most of us on here think Essien really stood out but I think he scuppered way too many chances. He did indeed dominate his area though and must get full marks for that.

However, I think Malouda was our best player today. He caused a lot of problems for the Wolves' defence as long as he was on. Fair play to him.

Special mention to Ashley, Joey, Cech, Anelka, Kakuta, Matic., and...Bah, well it was a great team performance today. Everyone deserves the credit.

Essien, without doubt.

He is like one of those beautiful show dogs. They are disciplined, beautiful, and they never disappoint within the confines of what their owner wants them to do. Well, today, the owner took them out to the country, let the leash off, and that show dog went wild and was in his element. Im still working on that comparison

Nothing against Lamps or Ballack, but if thats the job Essien can do when he is becomes the main guy in the center of park, then I wanna see more.

Said in matchchat that I'd have given it to Carlo. However, Essien in the marauding role was amazing, and so close to a hat-trick!

I really hope that Carlo relised today that Essien in the holding role might be effective, but it's limiting his true abilities

Essien for his all around performance plus scoring twice. But Malouda is right up there too, he was outstanding today; may be the hair, who knows? haha :P

went for Essien.....only slight (very slight) criticism could be the amount of shots he wasted when trying to gt his hat trick but then that could be forgiven

Essien, Powerful performance and deserved a hat trick which is why I couldn't complain at the ammount of shots he had trying to get it.

Maloudas goal was well struck and I think he had a good game, nice to see the youngster get on for the impressive Anelka, he looked very confident and intelligent with or without the Ball, promising stuff.

Kakuta did look impressive when he came on , showed some great movement and some excellent first time touches though id agree anyone voting for him as MOM is going way overboard.
