We appear to lack the spirit to play as a team and are overly reliant on certain individuals. Jose needs to get them performing as a team. The midfielders don't create enough chances for the strikers. The new players need to gel in time to recover from a poor start. They have only played a few games and it will take time for them to settle down. Cohesion is an important step in the right direction. . Our defensive weakness has to be worked on to get the best out of the back four.The Cahill-Luiz partnership does not work. Jose must make sure Mata and Hazard return to what they do best and eliminate this habit of ignoring our Spanish players. Because of his vast experience in managing the best teams in Europe and his familiarity with Chelsea he is the right man for the job. It's time for him to start producing results and I'm looking forward to the game against Fulham to get us back on track. .

Cahill makes too many small errors that go unnoticed.. Were he not English he would get far more criticism. He lacks positional awareness and Chelsea concede more goals when he is on the pitch. Terry and Luiz are our two best central defenders but Terry won't be around much longer.

I believe Jose accepts Luiz moving forward as he does not do it when playing for Brazil. He is a CB of world class potential who Barcelona are interested in signing. There is no way Mourinho will part with him as he rates him highly. I'm looking forward to a great season from David.

Sturridge is now with Liverpool so forget about him. As for Eto'o I was impressed by what I saw of him against Everton. He was involved in the thick of things from the start, created his own opportunities and found himself in goal scoring positions. His linkup play was very good. Despite not finding the back of the net his overall performance was most encouraging. The jury is still out on him but as an eternal optimist I'm looking forward to a successful season from him.. .

It was a smart move to send Moses on loan to Liverpool. I guess Mourinho figured Rodgers will get the best out of him. He put in a good performance against Swansea, scoring a goal and a great cross to Sturridge who should have scored. If Moses continues to produce for Liverpool he'll come back to Chelsea a better player.

Luiz was the best of the back four last season. I believe Mourinho will continue to use him in central defence this season on a regular basis. I'm delighted we did not sell him to Barcelona. Jose had no intention of parting with him. .

I am unaware of the instructions Luiz gets from Jose. When playing for Brazil he rarely ventures into the opposing half. So he is obviously capable of abiding by instructions.. Luiz and Terry are our best CB partnership. Jose views Luiz as a CB but believes he's got a lot to learn in that role.

It's an article from Think Football analyzing Gary Cahill. It states if he were not English Chelsea might not have signed him. It sums up by saying he's not a bad defender but also is not good enough for Chelsea, a squad player at best

Selling Luiz to Barcelona would be a wrong move. Terry stated David will be a future Chelsea captain. Obviously Terry appreciates Luiz's contribution to the team. Players seldom leave Chelsea in the prime of their careers and that's where Luiz is at. He will be a key member of our team this season. Jose said " He is a player we need to keep....he is an important player for the club" The mistakes in his game are being gradually ironed out. He is a player of world class potential and a future Chelsea Legend.

Cahill is the weak link in our back four. Luiz was our best defender last season. Jose has no intention of switching him from CB to midfield.

I agree, Mourinho knows what it means to sign Willian and improve the squad. Willian used in the attacking trio gives Mourinho the option of dropping Oscar deeper in midfield where he performs best If also gives Jose the option of pushing Hazard forward as a false No 9. A combination of Hazard, Willian and Mata would tear holes in opposing defences.
