Hang on, I thought John Stones understood what Everton is all about and was a grounded local lad who doesn't want to leave the North. Honestly , the naivety (or blind faith!) has been astounding.

Great performances from Azpi, Diego and of course Pedro. Of greater concern is the midfield pairing who at times looked shambolic. Cesc simply cannot play in these away games in that role for much longer. The less said about Ivanovic the better these days. Still, that's all a bit too negative, it was a great backs to the wall win at a venue we normally struggle at. Hopefully it's the kickstart we need, wouldn't surprise me if come the next match there is a few more changes in personnel too.

Honestly throughout this whole saga the conduct of some Everton fans has really disappointed me. I always quote liked Everton but some of the stuff I've heard has been a eye opener. It simply has to be a geographical thing. The whole self righteous attitude the whole 'we are Everton we are different and we are special' and we have even had the history stuff too. Obviously we have had all this before from their neighbours but I just expected so much more. The utter naivety has been staggering too. Not one for going onto other forums but someone sent me a link to the Grand Old Forum website and it was like a hive of the worst arrogance of Bluemon mixed with the grotesque paronoid delusion of the YNWA forum or whatever it's called. Apparently Stones 'understands' what Everton are all about and they genuinely think he will only choose to go to Barcelona when they come calling. For £50 million. And they pretty much all think this.

I agree Coco. There is no competition for places whatsoever. Complacency becomes inevitable. And not being fully fit and having no match sharpness allied with complacency is not a good mix, as we are finding out.

Fully with you Davey. I've become so 'meh' about football this week. Really I should be excited for Sunday, but I'm not. Id agree with those who say we have the best first XI and indeed we do, but therein lies our current problem I think. How many of these players are being challenged for their positions? Our first XI picks itself and there is no competing for places. Each and everyone of us could've predicted that starting XI on Saturday. Those players are comfortable and will soon be very tired. They've played every game ALL YEAR. This will sting us, no way will be get as lucky with injuries again and I predict it will be the midfield that suffers.

I'm not even sure if we are behind in terms of fitness. I just think it's how we play. Slow and laboured. Been the same all year!

I'd have snatched your hand off for a point with 55 mins gone so I'm content with that really. No complaints. Lack of spark was as we've seen recently and as most of us expected. And let's be honest, both our goals had an element of luck to them. We simply are not creating chances. So long in the season to go but I'll be willing to bet we don't win the league by 8 points again! Don't like the look of some of the fixtures we've got coming up either. I still blame our pre season setup and plans. Think it's been a royal f**k up.

Thought Mikel was utterley appalling last night. We had the full house from him - slow, lumbersome and lazy passing. It's night and day between him and Matic. As a backup I'd still rate Romeu as a better option. Is he even still on our books? It's hard to keep up these days!
