  1. I didn't really know who he was until the World Cup i'll admit. But i was always very impressed with him when i watched the South Korea games. (I was keeping an eye on his team mate Ki Sung-Yeung who plays for my other team Celtic.) His work rate was brilliant and he was a massive handfull for the oppositions defenders.
  2. Think Suarez would have been a clever signing as he can play in a few different positions, he would be a good replacement for Anelka. But he's cup tied now.
  3. Nope, i'm pretty sure it was Lakaku mate. Might be wrong though. Think he will be our next number 11 though this lad.
  4. I remember reading an interview where he was talking about how he always goes Chelsea in Fifa etc. seems to like the club! Haha

Give me Lakaku over him any day!

We'll not get prosecuted for this. Look at the Fabregas saga! Ideally i would have liked to get this boy in for around £20 milllion. It's getting steep now.
  7. We should do all we can to sign him up. He's a brilliant little player!
  8. All things considered i think it would be a good deal. At the highest level he maybe has what, 4 seasons left in him? Benzema has at least double that and could end up being brilliant here like he was at Lyon. I like Coentrao alot aswell and i would welocme him here as Cole's replacement.
  9. I totally understand you're point mate. I'm really just clutching at straws trying to make this transfer seem a good deal as i want him here! It's just an argument against those who say the trasfer figure is too high. However wether it's valid or not is another question. You're right though, the football should always come first. Always.
  10. Thing i wonder is, althought the price tag is huge, let's say £50 million like Ronaldo at Real would he not make alot of money back for the club anyway through shirt sales etc.? I mean let's say a shirt with Torres #9 costs £50. If we sell 1 million worldwide he will have made back every penny for the club. He will get some of the shirt sale money aswell i'd assume but do you get my drift. In some ways he pay's for himself.
  11. I really want Torres here.
  12. Torres for £50 million or Oezil and Mueller for the same price if not slightly less.. I'm not sure.
  13. Gosling has quit Everton, act quick on this one i'd say!
  14. Would love him here. Schweinsteiger too but i seriously doubt Bayern will sell him.
  15. Hope we take notic of what he is saying, would be a fantastic signing!
  16. He's not really going to improve our team. I mean we are no more likley to win anything with him than without him, would rather just sign someone like Ozil or Silva who would obviously cost more but would also improve the team!
  17. Considering his age i would not want us to pay more than £30 million for him which won't happen.
  18. Not near Chelsea standard.
  19. Seriously Man U surely can't afford to be making anything near that kind of offer for anyone! There debt is huge.
  20. He want's to be at Chelsea.. Pretty sure it will happen when he is 18. Perfect timing aswell as Drogba might be on his final few seasons by that time!
  21. Sounds like a crazy deal.. Why would we offer Bosingwa or Anelka? Both are still important members of the team when fit. Ivanovic needs cover at RB and Bosingwa is great for that! Fair enough Deco, Kalou, Ferreria maybe but that's it. Even Kalou has improved.
  22. Strathclyde mate.. But yeah it sure is! haha
  23. We all know Torres is a great player, when fit i would argue his case to be the best striker in the world. Proven in England so we have no worries on that front with him, however there is the obvious fitness situation, however i have to agree with the poster who put this down to Liverpool's mis managment of the player.. If we could keep him fit i could see him scoring 25+ goals a season EVERY season easily. 25/26 aswell, that's 5 good seasons at least!! When it comes to Aguero i'm not sure, i would welcome his signing but he is certainly not a long term replacement for Drogba in my eyes.. He is a powerful striker yes but he is pretty small so lacks the presence of someone like Drogba.. To me Aguero is perfect to play at the thip of a diamond or in one of the wider areas in a front 3 so he would be more of an Anelka replacement which would be good but it's way to much to ask for him and Torres this Summer!! I feel Torres or perhaps Higuain could be the out and out CF we need to build for the future. However £45 Million is the maximum i would be happy for us to pay!
  24. Well currently a student at Uni mate so live in the halls just now!
  25. Haha, Glasgow in reply to where in Scotland!
