Whatever happened to him? I thought he was supposed to be quite good when we signed him, but we just keep loaning him out and loaning him out... Do you think he's ever likely to get a chance here? Or just another one for the scrap heap?

Who Should get the P45, and who should get a contract?
Another 30+ player though... Although I suppose if he's on a free and we don't pay ridiculous wages, we could sign worse.

Still won't get a start ahead of Kalou/Anelka.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
I'd go if I could afford it, but I can't.- Who Should get the P45, and who should get a contract?
Course not, but no-one said anything about being realistic... If you want realism, maybe we'll get rid of Ferreria and bring in someone like Cahill. Apart from that we'll be the same as this season.- Who Should get the P45, and who should get a contract?
If we're talking about in the summer as opposed to Jan: OUT Hilario Ferreira Benayoun Kalou Anelka Drogba SQUAD FOR 11/12 Cech Turnbull Walker Cole Van Aarnholt Terry Alex Bruma Luiz (£30m?) Bosingwa Ivanovic Mikel McEachran Essien Lampard Ramires Malouda Kakuta Sneijder OR Aquilani (£20m?) Zhirkov Adam Johnson (£18m?) Augero (£40m?) Sturridge Borini That gives us a squad of 24 players. With a cost of about £100m on new players.- Chelsea vs Ipswich (FAC) KO: 15:00 [09-01-2011]

Just played Wolves vs Chelsea on Fifa 11 to cheer myself up by thrashing them. Lost.- Is The Jury Really Out On Carlo
Odds on next Chelsea manager: 6/4 Guus Hiddink 13/2 Didier Deschamps 8/1 Frank Rijkaard 10/1 Jose Mourinho 12/1 Fabio Capello 12/1 Martin O'Neill 14/1 Jurgen Klinsmann 16/1 David Moyes 16/1 Roberto Di Matteo 20/1 Gianfranco Zola 20/1 Gus Poyet 20/1 Marcelo Lippi 20/1 Steve Clarke 25/1 Harry Redknapp 33/1 Mark Hughes 33/1 Sven Goran Eriksson 66/1 Sir Alex Ferguson 66/1 Dennis Wise 66/1 Ray Wilkins And the one's I#d be happy with in Bold. Of course Carlo might stay, but since this thread is about him leaving, I thought I'd post them.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT

To try and get our minds off today's defeat and focus on the next game... I'd go with the following: ------------------------Cech---------------------- --Ivanovic---Bruma------Terry--------PVA---- -------Lampard----McEachran---Ramires----- ----------------------Kakuta------------------------ ---------------Sturridge------Drogba------------ And I reckon 2-0 to Chelsea. Goals from Sturridge and Lampard.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
My Post-Match Thoughts Performance-wise that was probably the worst I have seen for a good number of years. There was no fight, no spirit, no quality whatsoever. The players couldn't pass, couldn't cross, couldn't shoot, couldn't really do anything. The two most glaryingly obvious changes in our play since we were playing well last season is that: 1) We have lost our aerial dominance. We used to win nearly every header with Terry and Alex/Ivan at the back and Drogba up front, now I can count the headers we win on 1 hand over the space of 90 minutes. 2) We are playing too slowly, trying to pass our way through the opposition and it gets too congested in the middle and we just end up losing the ball. We used to have Malouda running at players and committing them, Cole and Bosingwa bombing on to the byline. Now we play far too narrow. Malouda gets the ball and then cuts inside, same on the other side with Kalou/Anelka/Bosingwa/Whoever. Carlo's insistance on using the same formation and players game after game isn't helping things, especially when the players are playing so badly. Bosingwa Essien Malouda Drogba Kalou Anelka Ferreira Have all been terrible for weeks and weeks. We were told that this season we were going to see the blooding of youngsters into the first team, so where are they? If Carlo can't trust them enough to give them more than 10 minutes when we are losing, then why are they even on the bench in the first place? Might as well do a Bolton and just bring 4 subs. I know people have been calling for the youth to get a chance, and others have been saying we can't afford to use them when we desperately need a win, but they won't get any better without experience, and let's be honest, they can't be much worse than the "senior" players out there at the moment. This has gone beyond a "blip". There is something very wrong at Chelsea Football Club, something is broken deep within the team. If we look at the spine of our team. The "senior" players who are playing every week: Terry - 30 - Somewhat injury prone Lampard - 32 - Still coming back from a long injury Drogba - 32 - Hasn't been the same since the Malaria. Cole - 30 - Playing with an injury Essien - 29 - Not playing well either Anelka - 31 - Awful recently. All of our main players are 30+. We must have probably the oldest first 11 in the league at the moment. Plus a lot of our players are quite injury prone at the moment. Now take a look at a team like Man Utd. Yes they have some older players like Giggs, Scholes and Neville. But they don't play every game. They are rotated with the youngsters like Fabio, Nani, Anderson, Gibson, Evans, etc... Why can't we do the same with players like Bruma, McEachran, Sturridge, Kakuta, Van Aarnholt, etc...? Carlo persists in using the same players all the time, leaving creative players like McEachran on the bench when we are screaming out for a spark of something...anything to change a game. He might give Sturridge and Kakuta 10 minutes here and there, but it's not enough to really do anything. We can't expect the young players to provide that change to our fortunes with only a few minutes of game time. They need starts, lots of them. Plus his substitutions are awful recently: Anelka off for Kalou Kalou off for Anelka Ferreira off for Bosingwa Bosingwa off for Ferreira I have no doubts that he will be sacked very soon, but in all honesty unless we bring in someone with the idea of looking to bring the youth through more and just try to get into Europe this season, before a big clear out in the Summer, I can see things getting even worse. I don't know who could replace him. Maybe Hiddink if we can get him. Maybe Zola and Clarke. Maybe Di Matteo. But we need something to change, we can't go on like this. If it was a case of Roman saying to whoever comes in: "Just finish in the top 6 and we'll sell off the deadweight in the summer" then I would be happy with that...well...not happy but it would be better than this. Then we can start giving 90 minutes to our young players who deserve a good chance. But if we continue down this road I can see us finishing mid-table, I really can.- Is The Jury Really Out On Carlo
I doubt getting rid of him will make any difference, if it does it will only be negative. It's the players who are sh*t. Okay, his subsitutions and tactics aren't great, but I can't see who else could come in and get them firing again.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
Someone post a link to Carlo's post match interview when it surfaces, I'd like to see what he has to say about that.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT

well Carlo will be gone this time tomorrow, but i have no idea who the hell is going to replace him, unless we can get Hiddink back which I don't think we can.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT

McEachran is the only player in our squad with any hint of creativity, someone who can play a killer pass and change a game. He has to come on at half time.. But he won't.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
If he makes no changes at half time I'm going to have to hit something. If he does make a change and it's Anelka I'm going to have to kick something as well.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
Don't know what to say really. Just utterly sh*t. Probably the worst performance of the season so far. I really cannot see us getting even 1 point from this. Can't pass, can't cross, can't head, can't defend, can't shoot. I'd say bring on Kakuta and McEachran, but he won't, at least not until about the 80th minute. I just....ugh...I can't see where a goal is going to come from. Plus my internet is now ridiculously slow and the only stream i can get to work is a terrible picture, always breaking up and stopping, with foreign commentary. Hate everything.- Wolverhampton Wanderer v Chelsea (PL) 05/01/2011 19:45 GMT
