Josh McEachran - We need to play him
created this thread ages ago, didn't expect it to still be here - but I still feel the same way. Especially in home games against lesser sides. But then seeing how the crowd get on everybody's back I'm a bit dubious now.

Josh McEachran - We need to play him
regardless of our return to form. I still think he should could get more game time. Here's a kid who has gone from regular youth and reserve team football to doing not much at all. I don't want us to ruin him.

Stadium Expansion
Realistically, we could only fill up another 10,000 seats, week in week out. So really, what's the point? We might be better off exploring whether we can make the Shed End bigger. I honestly, think that's a bit of a crap stand anyway. It's just half-arsed, the whole thing. Especially, with the Shed End's spiritual meaning to Chelsea fan's. It's an atmosphere vacuum currently.

The Chels podcast
I like this one. But I also like the Chelsea Fancast. The Chels one was funny with that fella talking about how he basically got beaten up by an Everton fan and doing his knee in.

Benayoun eyes Blues return
It's weird though. Concievable Benayoun could be gone in the summer. He's had a tough break.
-
Torres
I just hope we score today. Man City will park the bus.

Lucas Piazon
Well we have to trust our scouts I suppose. But none of the ones we have already have made an impact. Patrick Van Aanholt is the only guy I'd put money on breaking through. We haven't found a player as good as Josh, and this lad is going to be on 17K-a-week. Jesus.

Carlo: should he go or should he stay? (merged)
Unless it's Jose Mourinho we go backwards. I honestly don't even think Carlo has done a particularly good job this season and it times he looks forlorn. But if you are going to give him cash his standing in the game will attract great players, and with re-newed enthusiasm we'll must likely win the league next year with good investments.

Torres
Deep down, we all know the man isn't going to score until old Trafford in the champions league. Then, I'd put my house on it.

Carlo: should he go or should he stay? (merged)
He's just been sacked. We're not going to do well now. Ron Gourlay should be sacked himself. He's an idiot. Undermine the manager and give the players an easy way out. Well done, Ron. It's embarrassing that we pay this man to ruin our season. Which I'm pretty sure he has effectively done with this comment.

Solid Chelsea? not anymore...
Chelsea are solid defensively. We just have no clue what do with that little round thing at the moment unless it's a break-away.

Josh McEachran - We need to play him
There are no easy games for us anymore. Not how we're playing. Depressing.

Josh McEachran - We need to play him
Might be a decent shout they basically kicked Mikel off the park, lol. But...........at one point we had 36% possession against Everton at home. That's criminal.

Josh McEachran - We need to play him
This is how I feel. Also, some of you guys are talking like a few bad game would curtail Josh McEachran's Chelsea career. Hardly. And everyone does have realistic expectations of a 17-year-old. As a man-management tool a bit of professional humiliation for players like Mikel and Essien might bring the best out of them. That's the harsh reality of it.
-
Josh McEachran - We need to play him
Technically Josh is one of our better footballers - 17-years-old or not.
-
Josh McEachran - We need to play him
I'd disagree with that sentiment if that's Carlo's thinking. It's the perfect time to play him - we're struggling - the pressure is off Josh. If he felt that way he should have sent him out on loan. Joshy's only 17-years-old nobody would expect miracles from him and some decent man-management to just go out there and be nice and relaxed and do his best and let his natural ability take over. Could Josh be less effective than Essien? I doubt it.

Ancelotti delivers Chelsea bombshell:
Ancelotti has that haunted look about him. Seriously, put him out of his misery. It's obviously not his fault entirely. But it's acceptable to have one or two players below par but in reality for us only: Cech, Terry, Ivanovich and Cole have had acceptable seasons over the full course of the season to this point. Everyone else has been below par. That's an awful lot of players.

What are we to do now?
That's the key point: Are playing football the right way? are we doing the right things? Well no. We're really boring at the moment so there is no silver lining. We are solid defensively but our Midfield can't keep us the ball and it's all uphill from there.
-
Ancelotti delivers Chelsea bombshell:
I'm sorry but from champs to 5th place. That's not a blip. It's a free-fall.
-
Michael Essien
Essien's first touch always takes him towards his own goal. That's a player who is either short of confidence or doesn't have legs. Knee injuries take away your pace.
-
Josh McEachran - We need to play him
Essien really isn't fit to lace his own boots at the moment (diminished player/out of form/ unfit - take your pick). Mikel can be too casual, and Lamps is still feeling his way back to full fitness (although it seems like every single Chelsea player looks off the pace to me). Joshy would have less pressure on him to perform and actually he is better than any of our other midfield players at getting the ball in tight spaces and playing. Lamps and Essien are getting mugged for possession a lot. I could tolerate this if we pressed high up the pitch but they are getting pick pocketed deep in our own half as teams are targeting them specifically. Our midfield has been awful for last three months - really, really awful.
-
What are we to do now?
Nothing. Let this season end and try not to jump of a bridge.
-
Michael Essien
Essien shouldn't be playing for us at this point He's either unfit or he's finished after some terrible injuries.
-
Ancelotti delivers Chelsea bombshell:
Wow. I am surprised all you guys want Carlo to go. I was expecting to be one of the few. But it is the consensus. Carlo just has the look of a stoic Captain going to down with his ship. He isn't going to to turn the tide. If anyone is it's going to be Didier Drogba rediscovering his shooting boots and pulling us out this slump single-handedly and others playing off him.
-
Ancelotti delivers Chelsea bombshell:
Carlo needs to go. What summed it up in a nutshell is Clement remonstrating with the ref and not Carlo. He's lost it. Unfortunately, there is nobody else. We should have got Steve Clarke in to arrest the slide. But we haven't so we're going to finish 7th. Depressing. Alas, it's only a season. I'm trying to get some perspective on things.
