  2. What about van Persie offside at home to Arsenal if not for that goal arse were never going score then get kick in the teeth 2nd minutes later.
  3. There was the card reset I'm sure it was at the last 16 when cards from group stage were not carried through to knockout stage
  4. Just's sentiments sum up completly the reason why I don't want the scouse winning the league, their singing we have no history is really what gets up my goat, like they never bought their titles with Irish horse racing money.....
  5. Been nicer if they managed get the guys to sign the shirts also
  6. Essien has now let Gerrard out of his pocket, Gerrard now refers to him as Daddy. Essien got my vote, although the big Serb sent us on our winning ways, Essien total nullified St Steve G left Liverpool total lost for ideas how to score.
  7. Actually my MOTM would have been Bramble :D Good result with the smoggies doing us a favour, puts us back to 2nd
  8. Well he was the manager I wanted to replace the 'Special One' when sacked, and was the person I voted for in this poll. So I hope he takes the roles atleast until end of season and turns things around. Fingers crossed then continues on in the role, guess depends how the demands of coaching russian national team and PL compares to Australian team and dutch league.
  9. Tim, what woman are you hanging around, hairy chests and big nipples sounds more like a turkish bath
  10. For future reference... www.justin.tv gives live feeds of all games including european
  11. How about we give Mark Hasley an award for being completely incompetent once again. Had full view of Richards shove on Anelka for which didn't have balls to give blatant penalty. Then Terry, yes rugby tackle foul but with Belletti adjacent to him and Carvalho infront of Jo no way Terry last defender, esp on halfway line for his straight red. Be interesting to see what appeal to FA says unlikely they revert card to a yellow though.
  12. Although Deco would seem the most obvious choice, his distribution etc and esp with goal on debut. I though thought Mikel as the role his played was our MOTM he enabled Bots and Cole both to play more as wingers up the field and allowed our midfielders to move further forward as well as sitting back at times when Cav and Terry forgot which ends of the pitch they play in
  13. Yes, but all the money in football today comes through tv rights not seats sold at ground, where is the biggest tv market where tv rights can be sold Asia hence it's importance to tap into the market.
  14. Was never a red card, all can assume is the linesman told the ref that Lampard pushed Boa Morte in the face when it was his right shoulder
  15. They're here, they're there, they're every f**king where EMPTY SEATS ...... the one classic chant today at game when the sh*thole that is Upton Park had empty to be about a 3rd full by the 70th minute
  16. Actually it did not, the lady that was struck in the head was hit before half time, as was the paintball that went over a guy as well as several small 300ml bottles of water and coins. Long before the debacle towards the end when it was more prelavent. That first lot of chants at them about being murderers and killing their own fans that started at towards end of first half started after the ladies in front on me got struck with items. 3 of the ladies moved down into the egress next to the police at that stage. Not sure where you were positioned but the objects were coming over where we were at the entrance to the chelsea section a lot long before end of match. As i said i quite enjoyed the atmosphere and the ducks now and again to miss being hit, but I just look at the way the press would present it if it had occurred at chelsea and how would police react towards us and uefa for that matter. As for the twat I assume that was the one in the liverpool strip that you are referring to. sorry hear about pick pockets, other couples guys next to me had their wallets and tickets nicked, luckily though they were let in at the gate without tickets. But I guess that why on metros in eastern europe particular i always stand with my hands in my pockets to stop them trying pockets in crowded train, much like the ones that want to approach you across the road to give you a welcoming hug to pick your pockets. Bigger piss off for me was after waiting so long to be able to leave that the one train we were placed on was the only train still running on the athens public network. Get dropped off at a stop and I'm like I need to be on the red line 2 stops from here and then 3 stops to my hotel. 2am in morning trying make way back passing cops strip searching two guys and a few blocks later chasing another down road that beat up a taxi driver was interesting. haha less alcohol induced at 5 euro a beer they tried hard not to get me drunk too
  17. I have a ticket for final got on a season ticket, and I also got offered 2 tickets through contact who has two of those wembley seating arrangements (but don't ask they went already). couple guys at work got tickets on memberships as well
  18. Atmosphere at ground was fantastic, but be interesting to see if Olympicakos get reported for crowd trouble. It absolutely appalling the antics of some of their supporters and the ineptness of the Athens police. Before we went into ground were told could not take plastic bottles in, even with caps removed incase we threw them, yet all during game we had full water bottles even up to 1 litre size throwing across, along with the lighters, coins, odd glasses case that stuck a lady in front of me at the egress to the chelsea section in the face, odd paintball etc. Most of the culprits were launching their projectiles from within 2-4m of police who just stood and watched them without doing anything to nip it on bud and remove the culprits. After the match a gentleman who went to complain to police about his son being struck by a lighter was told the shut up or he knew where he was going. As for the game, Chelsea should have taken it to the greeks more, drogba always looked 2 yards short of pass, malouda needed to be changed earlier and j cole had one worst games I seen in games. Atleast got teddy bears tomorrow night to see hopefully better result.
  19. I have to wait for the second tier, the thing of using a membership to buy cup matches so have decent loyalty points to try get tickets for other ppl for big draw premiership games and end of season has come to bite me on the arse. Have 74 points on season ticket and 30 points on membership, guess will be more annoyed if we make FA Cup final and are just short of points there. Given ticket allocation should still get ticket for cup final as long as not up in the stratosphere of wembley
  20. totnum game is to be moved, club page already states, I just annoyed tickets for greece go on sale on monday morning i won't be able get down and wait at ticket office to get a ticket, was looking forward to day in the sun.. think need to try other avenues I know to get me my ticket
  21. I will agree with you superdan, Liverpool game when we came back to win always sticks in my mind.
  22. Cech MOTM for me, Alex solid at back and Anelka also looked good on ball up front. Nice ball from Malouda for Cole's goal which was nicely taken also. Except for couple spells think we controlled most of the game comfortably. Away support been awesome whole game, esp liked hearing ''Neville you're a c**t'' ... what would the tv sensors be thinking hehe Let's bring on the y*ddo's in a months time
  23. Di Santo Looks Forward To Drogba Partnership New Chelsea recruit Franco Di Santo has described the thought of playing alongside Didier Drogba as "something out of another world" as he gets set to leave for London at the end of the week. Di Santo Looks Forward To Drogba Partnership zoom - galleria Chelsea paid £3.4 million to the Chilean club Audax Italiano to secure the services of Di Santo and he is all set to leave his homeland of Argentina to join up with his new team-mates over the weekend. In a good early sign for Chelsea fans, Di Santo laughed off suggestions that the weather would be an issue for him once he makes the move to London. "For me I like the cold and rain, so in that aspect there is no problem. If I want to prevail I must adapt to how it is," he told Olé. He was then asked whether he can believe the speed of his rise of fame, to which he stated that it has come as a major surprise to him to reach so many milestones early in his career. "No, for not all. In the year and a bit I have been playing so much has happened. I played in the Copa Libertadores and I played for the Under-20 national team in the South American tournament in Paraguay. "In just a very short time, I have achieved things that few have. This makes me very happy... It seems like it was just yesterday when, at 14 years old, I went by myself to the other side of the Mountain range (Chile) with this dream." Di Santo was obviously excited about the prospect of moving to Chelsea and linking up with the world-renowned players who are already at the club, whom he hopes to learn from and improve his game. "I have the idea to go to learn. It is going to be a dream for me to be next to Drogba, Kalou, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, Shevchenko and Anelka, that they bought recently. "I am going to watch how they play and if I am called on to be part of the team, I will be prepared to give my maximum and do what I do best. I will fulfil whatever the manager Avram Grant requests of me; that is if I understand it (laughs)." Finally, Di Santo suggested that he will just be privileged to play alongside the likes of Drogba at Chelsea and hopes one day to achieve the same success and be able to give something back to his home town. "I always speak with my father, Jorge. To be in clothes, changing next to Drogba will be something out of another world. I am going to help him tie his laces (laughs). I must become used to being around these players since now they will be my teammates. "I hope to reach those heights, although I have a way to go... I do not wish to disappoint those who have trusted in me, especially the people of Mendoza. I want to help the unemployed where I was born and football in my province," he concluded. Nick Dorrington
