Amazing how kovacic’s shooting hasn’t improved in three years

Not saying Lukaku is playing a blinder - not helped by the kind of passes he’s (not) getting - but without his presence battling for the cross, Chilwell doesn’t score.

Where did that extra injury time come from Taylor you fcuking prick? Chilwell may not have crossed well today but he made a sweet connection when it mattered.

That Canos is a bit of a prick isn’t he?

Chilwell’s crossing has been disappointing up till now. sure we need to be more creative but given how Brentford played v Arsenal and Liverpool, it’s not all doom and gloom.

Don’t think there are many chelsea fans blind to the notion this is a test, especially with Rudiger missing, but sky’s coverage has been incredibly negative already. Blimey.

Newcastle aren’t going to be able to sign players of that Calibre yet..Salah and haaland’s camp might flirt with them in order to get more money from the big clubs that can help them challenge for titles. It’s going to take years for Newcastle to build a squad good enough

Suspect the best fans in the world on Merseyside will find it the hardest to accept.

I expect the new owners to try things to circumvent some of the rules but this is an indication of what they face ffp wise. Will definitely be able to improve the squad obviously but to take the side from a relegation candidate to title contender will take a lot of time and money. Look how much utd have spent over last few years and they are still struggling to get over the line. Plus chelsea, citeh, utd will continue to invest a lot and a lot of players will still favour them over Newcastle, even if the wages are bigger. Not sure what Liverpool will do once the cycle of this current side comes to an end as their owners appear to be more reluctant to spend big now. https://www.nytimespost.com/saudi-takeover-will-allow-newcastle-united-to-spend-200m-on-the-squad-without-breaching-ffp/

I've always been amused by negative comments from other fans about Roman, whether it be talk of Chelsea buying success, making allegations about where his wealth came from, being a plastic club, no history and saying piously 'we'd rather do it the right way' etc...you always knew they'd swap places in a heartbeat and you can see it by the reaction of the Newcastle fans. Appreciate why they're sick of mike ashley but they're now being taken over by a country with serious human rights issues...do they care? They're singing and dancing at the thought Newcastle might become a decent team again. Still, it's going to be a challenge. They can't just come in and spend a fortune cos FFP is in place. And while city and psg have shown there are ways to get around it, Newcastle can't just make out they have lucrative sponsorship deals from day one.

Who would have thought we’d have reason to worry about going to Brentford? But the form they’re in and this being the first game after the international break…going to be really tough me thinks.

Based on last week and first half of this match, Citeh are the team to beat. Not a massive surprise given they are the champions but way they’ve bossed us and Liverpool away from home has been very impressive…unfortunately.

And yet they (MOTD) didn’t think there was anything wrong with it…just focused on the red card decision, which had no controversy about it at all.

As per usual sponny Utd strike again. Not sure why tom Davies squared it in the first place when he had all the time in the world to pick his spot.
