I'm not going to pretend that everything is hunky dory, but I think people just need to calm down a little bit...we are having a major blip, but are still only 6 points back, that's two wins for us and two defeats for united..At the moment they have to be favourites, but if you think how quickly united's lead had gone up from 2 to six in just two games, the same can happen in reverse. BUT...certain players have to pull their finger out and start earning their wages...the time for ballack to coast is over, sheva has to stop feeling sorry for himself and carvalho has to lead the defence much better than he has been...today was one of the worst defensive performances by Chelsea in recent years

Thanks barca fan for your sensible post...I hope we're not getting spoilt by our success...if a team like barca struggles and has to fight to win the title then we should expect it at some stage as well...

what people seem to have forgotten is that we had spells like these in the last two years as well, but we had the defensive solidity to hold on to our leads that we don't have this year...the biggest mistake was replacing 2 central defenders with only one and having players like jt, cech and joe cole out of the team will hurt any squad...just imagine if man u had no rio, ronaldo and rooney... I understand some of the frustrations, Ballack and sheva have not lived up to their reputations, but there have been more exciting games this season because of our weaknesses and I for one am enjoying (in a weird kind of way) the unpredictability of it all...I'm sure i remember reading last year how bored fans were of us going 1-0 up and knowing we had won the game

shocked for chelsea to be handed the easiest draw of the lot for a change...obviously we will respect wycombe, but it will be the biggest shock ever if we don't get to cardiff...another final will be great, hope we don't get liverpool though...you just know they will win!

essien has been great, but if we win anything this season, particularly the title, it will be cos of drogba...his goals have not only been crucial but have been of the highest quality

I have voted for drogba..essien has had a great season, but drogba has made the difference to the team up front, without his displays and goals we'd really be struggling...he was under great pressure with the arrival of sheva and he's responded magnificently...he's also emerged as a JT type character in terms of being a team man...he lifts the players and the fans and has done things like drag Mikel away from the ref after he got sent off to ensure he didn't get in further any trouble, also lifting swp toward the mhl after scoring his first goal

I just can't wait for the liverscum's double standards to reveal themselves...I wonder if they'll be accused of buying the title like we were...personally i'm not worried...considering their bank manager has had money to spend and used it on such top class players as bellamy, pennant etc he won't be much good with a bigger chequebook

all true chelsea fans would love it, but sadly we know it will never happen...all seaters are here to stay...the expensive prices seating brings means the dodgy element have left grounds for good, they won't want to bring those days back.

Yes before I sound too pompous, I also questioned essien, although it was more in reference to parker than tiago...I didn't see how essien was worth 24.4m, when we already had parker he's shown it this season though

chelsea have not gone through all this the last 18 months to put cole on the bench...he will start at lb every week unless he gets injured...where does that leave bridge, sitting on the bench hoping the club have a run in the carling cup? He has england ambitions, but he has no chance of he's not playing every week...he would have lost out on the world cup if he hadn't gone on loan to fulham...sure bridge wants to make it at chelsea, but when the manager keeps buying players to play instead of him, then it sends out a message that he's not wanted so naturally he wants to move on...I don't blame him for that...jose seems to have had a problem with a few players...parker was another he just didn't rate for some reason and I still think he should have had more of a chance to prove his ability at chelsea

NO - we should make the most of Jose while he is still here...no-one is perfect and Jose has made mistakes, but he has taken us to two championships and has fought Chelsea's corner against the rest of the prem, uefa, european clubs and the media...we will miss him when he's gone and like some of you I don't think that day is too far off

NO...ignore the politics and keep it just to football and we have paid money to make our defence worse and our rivals stronger
