  1. Guilty as charged, Tim. Are you sure you're not getting Chicory Tip mixed up with Sweet? Sweet were a heavy rock band when they played live, though their performances on TOTP were hilarious. I only ask because I've vivid memories of taking some old sort out in Croydon, and thought we'd go up market - so we ended up in the Purley Orchid (Cinderella Rockefellas). The evening was going well, and I was just beginning to chill out a bit when I had one of the worst experiences of my life. The DJ stopped playing soul & reggae in order for the live 'band' to come on - you guessed it, Chicory Tip. By f**k they were awful!!! Back then they had a revolving stage in the Orchid, so after a while it started turning and everyone thought "thank f**k, they've finished", but then the band came back into view and carried on playing. I've come out in a cold sweat just remembering that evening - which came to a climax when they covered 'Hi Ho Silver Lining'. Without doubt the worst live band I've ever experienced - and I've seen some sh*te over the years! Why didn't we leave? f**k that, I'd paid for both of us to get in the place, a small fortune in those days and I was only on an apprentices wage (my Scottish side showing itself there, maybe?) Maybe I just caught them on a bad night? Never went back to the Orchid again though - who knows what act might have appeared, Bay City Rollers, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Little Jimmy Osmond....
  2. Ah, don't be misled by that, moi. I've never been a fan of Paul McCartney, but that particular track brings back happy memories of the time, if you know what I mean - the same goes for a few of the others I posted. The Middle Of The Road clip brings back lots of memories too - I'd forgotten what a babe that lead singer was! Nice to see T.Rex there, but to be honest I'd stopped listening to them by 1972 - the last record of theirs I liked was "Children Of The Revolution", and it was around this time that I started to get into heavier stuff like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple & Black Sabbath.
  3. this is ridiculous - 50 uploaded, and hundreds more that could be - but I won't :D
  4. oh dear, I've only gone and found some more...
  5. this could go on forever...
  6. Just for that, I'm gonna post some more - now you can all blame maks....
  7. As I said above, blame Tim W, it's all his fault!
  8. maybe just a few more...
  9. might call it quits after this...
  10. If you don't like these, blame Tim W....
  11. Impossible to choose, so here's a few off the top of my head: -
  12. There you go, you're f**kin' lying again! "if you hate the site as much as you say"! I never once said I hated the site, I said it used to be an enjoyable place to come! You'd make a f*ckin' good tabloid 'journalist', the way you twist facts around to suit your own arguments. I'm not gonna apologise to you for what I said - I was f*ckin' angry with you then, and I still am. F*ck it, I give up. I've made a lot of friends on this site over the years, and met quite a few of you. I've really enjoyed getting to know you all - well, most of you anyway You've been good company, and it's been great to share some special moments in Chelsea's history with you. I thank you for that, and also for sometimes lifting me up when I've been down. I wish you all well, take care.
  13. You say you don't want to pick a fight with me, yet you deliberately misquote me in another thread and accuse me of pessimism here just because you don't understand the point I'm making, or you choose not to understand. So not only are you devious and deceitful, you're also a bare-faced f*ckin' liar! I've explained my worries over our youth system elsewhere in this forum, though I don't know why I bothered, the facts are there for all to see. Maybe you're just too thick to understand that sending youngsters on loan to lower league clubs isn't going to improve their chances of becoming premiership (or more importantly, Chelsea) players one iota. That's not just supposition, I've watched it happen a few times now. Oh, and when the f*ck did I ever even mention Makalemby??? I f*ckin' give up, this forum used to be an enjoyable place to come, but there are far too many w*nkers like you around now, spouting sh*t and ignoring common sense
  14. Simple answer - don't f*ckin' read my posts
  15. B*llocks! You feel you have a right to voice your opinions all over this forum, so why the f*ck shouldn't I. Just because I have a different opinion to you doesn't mean I'm wrong.
  16. i knew someone would say that. we lose - grants fault. we win - players won it. wonderful. And I knew someone would say that - and not quote the rest of the sentence containing the relevant bit - wonderful.
  17. You're right, it was a good result, but.....I can't speak for anyone else, but I find it impossible to get excited about a league match against the pikeys when I'm still hurting so much from the Wembley f*ck-up - and I hate West Ham with a passion, always have.
