Right, got to give it the benefit of a doubt. The vids take ages to play, but I've got a feeling it's my PC or ISP causing the Video removed by Loz as Veoh is pain!!

OK, let's give this a go... Not too sure about Veoh - it's near impossible to get a vid to play within the site (maybe it's my PC though?), and I'm not over impressed with the Search facility - I typed in Move - California Man, and the top result was that lanky streak of piss Peter Crouch doing his pathetic 'robotic' goal celebration

Is There A Pattern Here?
Make that at least 40 years, though I must admit the situation has got worse since the start of the Premiership - or is it since Red Nose took over? I still get really angry about some of the decisions made by David Elleray in the 1994 Cup Final, totally biased refereeing bordering on out and out cheating in favour of the red scum. But believe me, that kind of thing had been going on for years - the Manure & England captain Bryan Robson used to kick, elbow and punch opponents off the park for years and got away with it. Ditto Roy Keane, and many many more.

CC Round 4 - Burnley At Home
You're right, Dorset, it was 2-2 at the Bridge, but it was Martin Dobson who got both their goals that day. Dobson was a very under-rated player who always seemed to do well against us, the git. Just had a look in my Ron Hockings' bible - Martin Dobson scored four goals against us that year, not bad for a centre-half! Ralph Coates got Burnley's goal in the replay at Turf Moor - I just hope that Stoch's hair is easier on the eye than Coates', who always seemed to be going for the Bobby Charlton comb-over look  Coates was an excellent player who unfortunately blotted his copybook by inexplicably signing for the scum at N17 later in his career

CC Round 4 - Burnley At Home
Don't know why, but when I saw the draw I automatically started thinking about the FA Cup match against Burnley in the 69/70 season, when they had the likes of Ralph Coates, Martin Dobson, Frank Casper & Steve Kindon in their side. They were a decent side back then, but we won after a replay and the rest is history. Burnley were a bit of a bogey team for Chelsea in those days, hope that's all finished with now!

Moving On
To be honest I was disappointed after the game last May, but not overly so. Maybe it's because having supported Chelsea for so many years I've developed an immunity to the pain of defeat. Having said that, I'm still pissed off about the way Chelsea played (or didn't) against Spuds in the 1967 FA Cup Final, still bitter about the League Cup Final against Stoke in 1972, and still f*ckin' annoyed about the 1994 final. Possibly it's a personal thing - football meant far more to me in the past than it does now, thanks to a number of things that have developed within the game. Also, I'm proud of the way that Chelsea played back in May - we were outplayed for 20 minutes, and then we were the better side for the rest of the game including extra time. We really were unlucky not to win within normal time, and any sensible neutral football fan would agree that Manure got a fluky win. Don't sweat it, what goes around comes around and it's only a matter of time before we win the Champions League - hopefully humiliating the scousers or mancs in the final. Maybe we should be grateful for small mercies - remembering that Peter Kenyon went up for his medal all smiles after the game, can you imagine that tosser going up and lifting the cup???

Just a few clips copied over from the original thread as some people were having trouble seeing the clips, probably due to too many being uploaded onto one page. Don't know what kind of idiot would do such a thing... David McWilliams - The Days Of Pearly Spencer Simon Dupree & The Big Sound - Kites Freda Payne - Band Of Gold

Jo Kinnears 1st Press Conference
Great stuff from Joe Kinnear, love it! It's about time a manager had the balls to tell the 'journalist' scum what he thinks of them, shame a few more don't do it. I'm only sorry Joe didn't steam into them with a baseball bat.

Strange - they all play OK for me, though I do have to wait quite a while for them to get started. As you say Lofty, maybe they don't play on some computers due to too many links on the same page. If you like, moi, I could start another thread and put some on there (fewer though!) - try and play them again though, and give them a bit of time - might work that way.

Last few. honest! Either very naff or very moving, that last one, depending on you taste - though of course, The Shed's alternative rendition was a truly emotional version, "Ode To A Scouse Keeper", sung whenever we played Everton back in the day.... "Gordon West, Gordon West, Biggest c*nt since Georgie Best, Get on your bike, And f*ck off home" [sob], I'm filling up just thinking about it, [gulp]...

Motm Vs Cluj (away)
They were all equally crap, but I put that down to the manager
-
Next Assignment: Cluj
Well, that match was an embarrassment. I don't rate Scolari, and never have. He f**ked up against Spuds, and he did the same tonight. His substitutions showed that he really didn't know what the f**k he was doing - I remember feeling this way when Blanchflower or Hurst were in charge! I know it's early days, but I have no confidence in this manager at all - I can only hope he proves me wrong.

Same Old Ronaldo
I despise any player who dives, just as I despise any sportsman who cheats. And if it's a Chelsea player who dives, then I hate them even more - because they bring shame and embarrassment on the club. I thought refs were supposed to book players for diving, but apparently that's yet another FA initiative that's gone out the window. The onus is on referees and the football authorities to clamp down on diving and cheating - it wouldn't be hard to eradicate the problem - if they really wanted to. It's never going to happen, and football is the poorer for it. All the cheating and diving that goes on these days has killed my enthusiasm for the game - I find it so difficult to get excited about football nowadays because I know that so many of the players are blatant cheats. How can anyone enjoy watching "sportsmen" who can't/won't play an honest game. Maybe it's just me - I remember when I was about seven or eight years old I refused to play monopoly with my cousins because they always cheated, so I just didn't think it was worth playing. Same thing applies to football for me, one of the reasons I refuse to pay to watch Chelsea - I prefer to watch non-league football where the problem hardly exists.

What, even Little Jimmy Osmond??? I'll take your word for it, Tim ;) Yeah, I noticed that you started to slow down after your 25th pint during our crawl of Hastings Old Town  Slade have always done a good cover of 'Born To Be Wild', but I don't think anyone can touch Steppenwolf's original. I seem to remember seeing Steppenwolf doing an extra long live version on TV many years ago, absolutely brilliant. Any idea if there's any footage of that knocking about anywhere?

Can't say as I have - I'll have a look for that. Quite like Meat Loaf myself, especially when he's performing Jim Steinman's tunes. Must admit though, I only saw Meat Loaf live once and he was booed off the stage - he left under a huge shower of bottles at Knebworth '85 (Deep Purple headlined that year!)
