There is an argument that you can only call yourself a 'supporter' if you go to the turnstile and pay your admission to 'support' the team, obviously living in Canada that can't be helped, but I'd describe you as a fan and not a supporter I'm not old enough to have lived through the Drake/Docherty/Sexton years, nor the bad times in the late 70s/80s, I watched Chelsea for the first time in '93, but I still went back and found out what was going on before then, it's all part of the tapestry of this club and I found I understood and had more empathy for what the club are doing now if you know how close Chelsea came to oblivion, it's only then you can truly appreciate what is happening now, I don't care how you follow your team to be honest, but there are many around here who would simply call you a glory hunter
