  1. great news- he makes saha look pointless.
  2. maka has to play. he was born for tough away games in the champions league... now... essien deserves to play and so he should, likewise lampard. it's difficult to fit ballack in, even though I think he'd be useful with his ability to use the ball. but robben, I feel, has been in good form for a while now and deserves a spot. so it's difficult to figure out... you could see essien at RB, but I'd prefer paulo- I think his form has improved a little and will continue to the more he plays. I expect liam's diamond of death, maybe with robben and drogba... which I don't like, would prefer sheva up front.
  3. jeff powell is obviously the worst. although, it's difficult to call him a journalist. I prefer "a monkey with access to crayons".
  4. jeremy kyle is a good shout... he is quite... sinister.
  5. ahead of the barca game they probably didn't want these problems to come to the fore.
  6. at least he didn't hit a birdie this time.
  7. then again, that bellamy always had a chip on his shoulder...
  8. liverpool in under par peformance shocker.
  9. stupid to get rid of him, if that happens. he is a true great in management terms, and while his madrid side have a lot more work to do to become great going forward again, they are only a few points off the top. signings like gago are only going to help... give him time and he WILL get them silverware.
  10. brand is apparently razor sharp away from "family friendly" programming. jimmy carr is a great call. he's not only rubbsih, he's useless. also, no mention for forum inspiration jim davidson?
  11. I predict 4-0. time for normal serviece to be resumed. again.
  12. I'm afraid the legendary Joehican surely must be the winner. you had to see it in motion for the full extent of the horror. I hate and at the same time love you bjd, for reminding me of this... I think I've found a new avatar, incidentally.
  13. p.s. look at the fans in the background!
  14. you're... so... wrong...
  15. valecia-barca today at six. should be good viewing. http://www.football4less.com/schedules/sch...es_spanish.html followed by the not entirely unwatchable prospect of sevilla- atletico madrid at 8.
  16. sydneychelsea...bah...why? of course we will. we should be far far too strong and we are certainly capable of winning both ties. going out would be a shock.
  17. a good point- I've never given thought to the fact that there was only one on screen murder... you have to laugh when king said he doesn't understand the (horror) genre. speaking on quality books-to films, do not deny the silence of the lambs again, and look out for notes on a scandal, that's meant to be great.
  18. I love the shining in both forms, however, they are quite different... but kubrick deserves to get a mention for his take on it, despite whatever king might say. arguably, the film is superior. nicolas pileggi's "wiseguys" became/inspired goodfellas. obviously deserves a mention. I think it's time for a top ten list of top tens.
  19. newsflash to idealists: if you took every player who ever dived out of the premiership you'd be left with about 2 reserve goalkeepers. but, yeah, a cracking effort from duffer. he's great.
  20. ha... the supressed anger fails to be diluted in text form.
  21. it's a bit sad even debating the smiths really. they're stunningly average.
  22. I vote for Mod in the csr2 election.
  23. this is entirely false you lover of pretentious-student-w**kery-taken-way-past-its-sell-by-date-propelled-by-receding-quiffs. bah. It's time for a not entirely bloodless e-coup, I feel.
