I couldnt say I would blame Jose for the lack of effort and lethargicness. You could clearly see him tell Zouma to press the ball before he came on , which no one else was doing. As a player you have to shoulder the responsibility and say we simply weren't good enough. No matter how much the manager says you can still judge a game on the field and adapt to the situation, otherwise just get 11 robots who do exactly as they are told. To me it was quite clear after the sending off the players were not pressing the ball, which gave Verratti, Motta, etc bags of time to control the game.

Oscar never had 2 feet off the ground. His leading leg was slightly high and yes studs showing but not two footed. Ibra left the ground and paid the price. Although I don't think it was a sending off if you leave the ground with both feet you are giving the ref a decision to make.

Sorry cech but the tackles you mention are not in the same league as this one, with the possible exception of Cahill which I would have to see again , but even that I think was retribution for Sanchez putting one on Tibo. There is no place for these tackles in football, he's high , he's dangerous and HE KNOWS exactly what he is doing. So to defend the challenge or dig Matic out for reacting seems silly to me he had every right to react like that. These tackles DO end careers. And if someone took away yours, mine or anyone else's source of income or intended too, I'm not so sure I would react as calmy as Matic did
