Not fair to say Werner couldnt hack it with us. In his first season Werner had 24 (I think - cant remember the exact number I used to parrot) goal contributions. He also won the Champions league. Yes - He missed a load of chances, but he regularly was key to us scoring and winning. I would take a player who did that now! Timo was a lovely boy, but his problem was is his head. Once he missed a few, he crumbled, and the confidence never returned.

I like Garnacho. He seems like a right twat, but he also looks like he has the confidence needed to make things happen. Not perfect, has been hot and cold so far, and clearly not as high a ceiling as Steve-o, but I am a fan.

Nothing has changed. He has played players out of position for a long time. He has untouchable players who are rarely rested, and drops others if they so much as look at him funny. He regularly gets starting lineups wrong, meaning early subs are needed. Whoever he selects, he regularly gets us passing the ball between the defenders, at slow speed. None of this is new. He is simply not a very good manager. He has been saved in big games by Cole Palmer on a number of occasions. Sick of him.

You seem to think that attack and defence is a binary thing, and that if we try to move the ball fast and attack, then all of a sudden we will be terrible in defence, out of position and let in 12. My rebuttal to this: it isn't binary. We can move the ball faster to the attacking 4 or 5 players, and confirmed to have the defenders and caicedo stay in shape to clear up any counter in the event we lose the ball. our defence is already horrible at trying to hold possession, so there isn't anything to lose by telling them to get it up the pitch quicker. Balance is the key. Not reckless all out attack with all 10 outfield players dreaming up the pitch - but a general mindset of moving the ball quicker up the pitch into areas where our attacking players can get into the game. we do not want to see tosin and chalobah pass the ball between themselves 500 times every game. This is both boring to watch, and incredibly ineffective at breaking teams down.
