  1. I too like Moyes as "A" manager... Quietly was hoping he would have been appointed here last summer... I also think he would be crazy to come here now. It's obvious the players run this club and the board are a bunch of Spineless prats! Moyes wouldn't stand a chance here now! Anybody who doesn't have a Jose-like sized ego will not take this role. Why would they? Our managers get zero support from the owner, the so-called board, and now even the squad is questioned. Then again a big paycheck makes people do funny things so... I just hope Moves doesn't come for his sake. He be better off filling the shoes of another Scot when he decides to bow out gracefully...
  2. This is what exactly will happen! Roman can't be this stupid, he's a billionaire ffs! Sack the entire board... Utterly pathetic display by this guy and the board who in my opinion may be the least competent in the game today... Pep gonna leave Barca to come to this circus? That's a joke! Why would he leave the greatest club in perhaps history to come to this circus of a club in West London? The position to coach chelsea is tainted and everybody worth their weight in salt knows this...
  3. I hope we finish in the top four and truth be told before today I was thinking we could crack the top three if we were to turn it around for the rest of the season. Today's loss makes that much more difficult though. Personally, I just want to see something from the board... AVB, for me should be given the chance to build his squad with our younger players and players he wants to bring in (please no 80m Hulk though)... I think the board needs to be cleared out first and foremost if they continue doing what they have. They were not patient with players like Sinclair, Borini, and a whole host of others... Let's play some of these younger players we have this season because frankly they can't do any worse than what we all saw today... We could all be very pleasantly surprised!
  4. His contract is up this summer and I believe he wants another two year deal yeah? Just don't see that happening at the moment but who really knows what the board are thinking these days! It will be sad to see him leave because in my opinion he is a legend. The form he was in prior to his bout with malaria was superb. Since though its been hit or miss and yes he's older but I still wonder if the malaria he contracted has been a hamper more than we know?
  5. My apologies for my late arrival... I just now read you're post on the issue...
  6. Can I call you Shirley? Heehee, just kidding...
  7. Can one of the moderators ban this guy already? It's one thing to be negative but to badger others on this forum is as absurd as his posts...
  8. Dear Roman, Fire the whole lot, from board to player and be done with this... Horrendous and the only people that actually seem to give a darn are the supporters! Woeful and pathetic is the best way to describe this club and frankly we deserve to be in 5th this season. And the only reason 5th is pretty much ours is because Liverpool are in even sadder shape than Chelsea. Although at this rate they can probably nick 5th in May when we go to Anfield and get our arses handed to us...
  9. The second post I read about how nobody is in here tearing down AVB or there is a lack of posts period... It's one thing to be a bit emotional after a match and I am guilty of that but Jesus, does anybody have any positive thoughts? For weeks all I read about was how AVB is rubbish and can't do anything right, how Chelsea's star players who've carried us for a decade think they're larger than the club itself, blah-blah-blah! And now we play well and win with a cleansheet (yes, I realize its Bolton) and many of you still are finding ways to be negative... I made an observation the other day about Lampard's goals and how many may have been penalties only to get jumped on like I was robbing somebody's mother or something... In the 7 months I've been posting , this site never ceases to amaze me... Just look at the title of all the threads, even the ones that are meant to be positive become rampage of negative thoughts or worse attacking one another... Truly ridiculous, really! I feel like I wondered into the "Bicycle Repairman world" of Chelsea supporters! Don't mean to sound crude but facts are facts... Don't believe me read for yourselves...
  10. Great tale! That '94 final was my first introduction to Chelsea and to English football really. I dabbled in Soccer when I was a youngster but for me Ice Hockey and Baseball were my sports I played! Anyway, growing up in NY, we managed to score tickets for the Italy/Ireland WC match at Giants Stadium. Not sure why but for some reason ESPN was televising the FA Cup final and having tickets to the WC a few weeks later, I figured let's see what I am in store for. I hadn't a clue who was who or honestly even the game itself. In the States we heard about English football, mainly the dark things like hooliganism and I'll never forget seeing that Sports Illustrated article about Hillsborough when I was thirteen. However, the Passion of the supporters singing and players on the pitch that day was enthralling and I vowed to watch more. I actually chose Chelsea as the club I would favor because they lost that day and that I knew the club played in London. Football was rarely on and even though I was in college then, there was no internet and globalization going on like today, so I really wound up only watching a match here or there and it was always Beck's United that would be on ESPN . I remember the day when we landed Fox Soccer Channel here in Denver around '99, I guess... So excited to finally begin watching on a regular basis. I then bought Setanta too and would watch literally 12 hours of Football each weekend. Go ski in the morning and watch football afterward on the dvr, drove my ex nuts! This is at the point now when Roman bought the club and Chelsea were on week in and week out too, before than it was maybe 10-15 times per season mainly because of the FA Cup Finals Chelsea had recently won... It's been real fun and if you asked me if I would ever be into Football this much as somebody in their mid thirties, I would've thought you were high on something but it all really stemmed from that '94 final. So, I hope we get 4th and the Cup this year and although it is looking shaky at best for either if I had to choose, I would go with the Cup.
  11. Wow, calm down there, no need to get you're pulse racing... I was making an observation and in fact did I even say anything derogatory towards Lampard? You do notice my avatar photo right? Well there's a reason why, because Lampard is my favorite player. Perhaps you're just on edge for what's happening and are defensive?
  12. Not to split hairs here because I cherish Lampard and for everything he has done for the club but isn't 4 of his 9 goals penalties? Still, he needs to get around this lack of respect for AVB because we need him for the next few years!
  13. You are probably right wax. I haven't a clue what I am doing with streaming and may have confused sopcast with another site. I used to run firstrow at work on my phone but I haven't been nearly successful with my notebook at home. Friend of mine is going to show me how to set it all up this weekend...
  14. @Abromovich, well the gamble is quite clear now but do we chop off another manager at the knees and say he was not for us or then again do we proceed with AVB and hope he steers us right? I was never in belief that Carlo should've been fired and certainly not Ray Wilkins but what is done is done... I could say the same thing about Jose! But it has, and do we agree in AVB or not we really have to ask is what the feck is the board been doing? For me, we need to sack the lot and rebuild from scratch! Whether AVB is the man or not is pointless really. The entire club need from top to bottom needs an earfull and most likely a path shown the door! I hope we keep AVB personally but he has to prove his weight now (which he hasn't yet) to show a respectful result! Point is a man like Moyes who would kill for the talent of our squad would at least rally the troops to finish strong

This may be a stretch but perhaps its the weather? I know it gets cold in Spain but not nearly as cold as it does in dreary old England? TBH, I'm a yank who played soccer as a lad but quickly moved onto ice hockey and baseball as a kid and I know baseball was always rough in the early cold springs in NY where I grew up... Perhaps its all the bad sentiment on the club that's taken his heart out and mind off the game! He did come from the rose like academy of Barca where everything is rainbows and unicorns! My apologies, I still seek to spin the 20 sided dice from Dungeons and Dragons and my fantasy world is still showing, lol! point is he's a good young player from the Barca academy, he deserves a good run up to prove his wealth! Pep still rates him very high and from what I understand didn't want him to leave...
  16. Valid points Tim! I can't speak for Chippy but I think we should... Well feck me, I don't know what to think really? Do we just dump him and seek another? Things are bad, worse than bad but as somebody stated earlier we've made out bed and now its time to lay in it... Perhaps we should look at the larger picture and get rid of the board (ie Gourlay and Buck)? TBH, there seems to be so much wrong at the moment, perhaps we should scrap it all and start afresh? I don't know really? I and all of you just want this to turnaround as quickly as humanly possible.... If that means another manager so be it but I think personally we should... well again, I am at a loss of words, ideas, and remedies to fix the problem we are in now!
  17. Brilliant in every way imaginable! Guy is studying English and going for his post grad degree (not sure what you all call that in the mother country) while playing for Chelsea. A difficult feat if the club is winning but downright impossible with this season! I think and hope he sees the writing on the wall and he is one who backs AVB. He seems loyal and its a shame he can't see the Bridge when its all lit up! He's going no where, sign another creative winger (whether that be Hazard or not) and put Danny up top and this guy will deliver us trophies like the through ball we all know he is capable of! Splendid signing and we all know Roman does not like looking wrong so I expect a major signing or two this summer! Our future is bright lads!
  18. I'm with Chippy! It be dumb to get rid of AVB at this point... Let's see what he has up his sleeve... If Roman does pull the trigger though, I like Moyes and wondered about him last summer. Knows the English game and does well with a young squad, could be a great manager given the fire power we have at Cobham but with that said, I think AVB is our man! Tough to say now due to the results but over a lengthy spell he could and imo will pay immense dividends for us!
  19. Of course but at the moment I don't think we will accomplish either of them... I just want to see points in our column, both are still attainable... Just trying to keep my head up, if you know what I mean. Somebody said previously that Rome wasn't built in a day and I hope we are building something for the future but its tough to see at this point! Squad needs some sort of uplifting and the United match would've been that but at the moment I feel we are circling the drain. Is it AVB, the squad, formation? I just don't know! Something, anything has to fall our way here! Nothing better than to hope we rise up beat LFC, the Arse, and City on the road and get some momentum! I am sitting here in Denver, CO and am completely at a loss, can't imagine how AVB and the squad feel!
  20. I have nothing to say... I avoided the score all day and then when I came home from work I expected to view the match recorded via sopcast and nothing recorded. I recently dumped my cable and am now scrambling to figure out this whole streaming thing! In search of finding another feed recorded I saw the score and then caught the last 10 min of the match! With that said, I am speechless, no comment on whether he should stay or go, don't really care actually... What I do care is that we turn this around and maybe salvage the season with an FA Cup... Draw is in our favor, if we get out of St. Andrews that is! Just numb at the moment! I bought a Chimay a few weeks back when we drew Napoli hoping to drink it in celebration... I can see now its been aging in the back shelf of my refrigerator for no reason. Oh well! I keep telling myself its only a game but it sure is a tough on ones mental strength when things get bad! Sack him, keep him, play the 433, 442, even 4312, none of it matters, I just want to see some wins and points in out column!
  21. No, the theory or lack-there-of was more outlandish than the grammar! Conjured up by copious amounts of sake. There is an obvious disconnect between manager and the board but I think AVB wants to remain and I stand behind him as previously stated... Apologies for hijacking the thread here
  22. Lol! My apologies, I had a few in me and sent that from my phone. Downright horrific grammar...
  23. I think the Mancs are calling! Run along... A cancer? That same cancer has won us how many trophies? Cancer? Don't focking mock the millions who had some sort of cancer and had their lives or families lives turned upside down by using that word! Because let me tell you something, unless you've been through it, you know shyte about it! Not too many that I know who went through it were winning trophy after trophy year in and year out! In fact some, I reckon only trophy they wanted was to check out and some did! Go away, will ya!
