I disagree. Singing anti-rafa songs will not help the club. It may affect the players and demotivate them. Think about it. Players like Oscar who are new to the club and very young may find it difficult to cope with. They're new to the club and a new manager has just come in. He's constantly booed by your own fans, you'd find it hard to motivate yourself to play for him. Plus, he may only be here til the end of the season, which gives it more of a reason. I'm not saying support Rafa, just leave the anti-Rafa chants out of it and cheer the team.

I was in the West Lower and agree. City's support was awful today. Terrible for champions of England. Very quiet indeed. I don't agree. Whats done is done. I hate the guy completely, as with everyone. But its not good for the players. How would you like it if your new manager was booed from the fans. It doesn't give out a good sign at all, and may demotivate the players. Someone like Oscar, who may not know much about the Benitez/Chelsea rivalry in the past may be affected by it. Whats done is done. We need to move on and stick with it. We don't need to sing his name. Just support the team and keep the Rafa chants out of it.

He's not. Because he's lost it. If you read my posts you can quite clearly see I agree with what people say about him. He isn't the same player he used to be, he doesn't possess that pace to run around defenders anymore. And he defiantly isn't a type of player like Drogba. Their's very few players in the world that possesses the same physical strength, power and skill that Drogba did. So theirs no chance he'll do that. I'm not saying he'll return to his best. He won't. It irritates me when everyone slags him off after every performance. I admit, most performances are awful and he deserves all the criticism that comes his way. But today I didn't think he played badly at all. But I guess because he's been so poor recently its all his fault. Heck, it was probably his fault we drew 0-0 today. Yeah it was.

I agree. I don't like the way we played today at all. Back to a more defensive approach is so boring. But we were playing City and we did keep a clean sheet. That's some positives to take on board. Hopefully we play a more attacking display against weaker opposition, as we have the players to do so.

I have no idea what your talking about. Thing is I agree with what people say about him. I don't think he's good enough and he isn't the player he is, he's lost it. Apart from the past few weeks I think he's put a great deal of effort in his games, his work rate has been one of his strongest assets since joining Chelsea. Obviously goals is what people rate him by and he's not getting them. Today though, he did play like he wanted it more. We played a much more defensive, careful game today. He didn't get a great deal of opportunities (in fact the whole team didn't). We had one shot in the first half and it was a free-kick. He was put up against one of the best defenders in the world and had to deal with alot of difficult/poor balls. If you compare some of the chances strikers from other teams deal with week in week out that are on a plate for them then you can see why Torres doesn't goals. I admit you have to get yourself into these positions which he doesn't do most of the time but today, I can't see why people moan about his performance at all.

People seem to forget that we were playing Man City today. Kompany was all over him because Kompany is one of the best defenders in the world (in my opinion). Yes, Torres has been woeful recently and maybe shouldn't be at our club. But he fought hard today and looked like he wanted it more. Can't fault him much there. And what did Dzeko/Aguero/Tevez do today? They weren't anymore effective than Torres was.

There's no point in keep talking about this. He's our manager whether you like him or not and we need to back him. If he starts getting poor results then its a different story, but at the moment he should be supported.

I'll be there, with my plastic flag! Hope Kompany is out, it'll be a huge boost for us. Remember neither team has been solid defensively so maybe a high scoring draw or a 3-1 win. I don't think we'll lose.

Come back next season with Jose as manager and RDM as assistant. How good will that be?

Looked decent when he came on today. We should get him back (if possible) and play him. He can only get better and he would save us money buying another striker.

Good post. I feel the same. At the end of the day after all the sackings where has it got us? What have we won by sacking all these managers? We're European f**king Champions. And we've won 3 leagues and 4 FA Cups. These sackings have helped us, and maybe, just maybe RDM's is no different. I agree completely with RDM being the manager. When he took over from AVB I didn't think he was the correct choice at all. In my honest opinion I don't think he's that great a manager. He may have gone at the correct time. Abramovich's sackings have helped us in the past. Lets hope Benitez turns it around.

I will be going to the game on Sunday. I won't be booing or hurling abuse at Benitez. He's our manager and we should back him and the team no matter what. As much as I dislike him he could get us results and win us the league. You never know. Singing Di Matteo songs is a definite though. We should give him a thank you for everything he's done for us. A legend at the club that wasn't given the right goodbye.

I can just imagine on Sunday. "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome your new manager to the Bridge, Rafael Benitez!" No sound around the stadium. Just groans.

No booing, but singing Di Matteos name would be enough. Booing will give the wrong idea and it won't help the players. Don't forget we're playing the Champions, it's a massive game. Win and we're in a comfortable position.

Of course I going to support them. It's not like I'm going there and booing everyone. I have the right to be upset/angry about this. He's a manager I do not like at all, and unless he does something spectacular, my opinion will not change.

Sorry but when you have to go to the Bridge on Sunday and support the manager you really dislike (from things he said about the club and fans in the past) you really feel angry. I do anyway
