  1. Never negative towards anyone but he is someone I've never appreciated. We deserve better.
  2. You can't underestimate UCL in players' perspective. They all want to play these games especially a massive clash like at Allianz. They consider this a massive game where as Brentford is just another League game. And I don't blame them one bit. We'll finally face a team that plays football in the biggest possible stage. Not congested deep sitting side in the Prem. When this young squad has done this year after year for a while they start to understand the season as a whole. Anyway I hope the lads continue like we did in the CWC and Conference League. They should be full of confidence to be able to beat anyone.
  3. Great to have some proper football back! UCL is hands down my favourite comp. 👏
  4. Unfortunate end to the match. I feel sorry for Maresca although he is responsible for the first half. I get that everyone is buzzing about UCL but the lineup didn't predict anything good. This is what UCL does to you. Happened before and will happen in the future.
  5. To me Buonanotte and Gittens are the questionmarks. Hato will do okay. Fofana too.
  6. Thing is if the reports are true they had no intentions to give him that illegal substance. That stem cell treatment just contained traces of it. They also have probably some leeway on things.
  7. In a sense I agree because in the end the athlete himself is the last line of defense on what to put into ones system. Here MM learned not to trust people blindly, not that drugs are bad/illegal. Far too big punishment to my liking. Anyway I feel 18 months should suffice. He's suffered a good stretch of it so far. I think he got suspended December 2024. If he gets the shelf penalty that is 4 years he's hard done by.
  8. If this is the truth I think Mudryk has hard time trusting his coaches and doctors from now on. I think at that point he had blind faith to his national team docs...why wouldn't you. I love the fact Shakthar is doing something with it as their deal with us was so heavily relied on bonuses... which naturally is complete non-news to media. In their eyes Mudders is 80m. Anyway these cases should have some lenience on the athlete. He gained absolutely nothing from that treatment over his peers and it was illegally given to him if that is the truth. Sad thing is MM will be sidelined until the hammer has fallen. That could be longer than his eventual ban.
  9. This is some next level sh*t 🤣
  10. Simple question: If you at this very moment had to choose at gunpoint to start in an important game a winger. Your choices are Estevao and George. Which one do you choose? The question answers two things: do you want what is best for Chelsea and which player you prefer from the two. George himself, by reports, really wanted to leave the club as he wants to play. Which to me is the most natural thing in the world. I think in January they'll try the move again if we are not in a massive limbo due to injuries. By buying a ton of youth international level talents tells the level of Cobham youth as well. If we had tons of top level (James, Estevao, Palmer, Madueke) youth at our ranks there would be very little need for it. No club at youth level has that. I understand the pride behind fielding your club youth. No one is denying that or is against it but I personally prefer the best possible squad over forcing club youth to the side.
  11. I have probably seen every minute of him for our first team for whatever that is worth. I am not the decider of his future. He's not England u21 first choice, he is down the pecking order amongst our attackers, he wanted to leave to Fulham to look for a new start. Not sure what I need to write here. I hope he finds a good level club for his future. Hard to see him at a top Prem side anytime soon once he finds a new club. I didn't mind him being in the. Squad but I am pretty sure he prefers to be somewhere else. Re transfemarkt: has around 50 million visits per month.
  12. My opinion is George is not the top level prospect we should go after/keep. My eye-test and the ranking I posted is telling the same story. That is probably why the club is not keeping hold of him like they do with James for example.
  13. If you look at their rankings on top prospects from all English-born players u21's George is number 21. From entire world he is on position 182. Lamine is number 1., Estevao 5., Gittens 17., Guenda 18., Garnacho 22. Now this is just a money-list and Transfermarkts product but I trust it more than your eye-test hope you don't mind. I think as a club we aspire to have players from lets say top 20 rather than top 200. Most valuable players
  14. Absolute certainty, no. Just watch his history as a player. He is below the level of the players I mentioned throughout his young career. George might end up being an absolute superstar but I doubt it as are his youth coaches, national team coach and Chelsea Football Club by preferring to sell him. I prefer our first team being strong instead of filled with players from the academy that are probably not going to cut it. That is what every major club is doing.
  15. Purely on percentages I'd say a player like Estevao is a safe bet. He's been head and shoulders above his peers on any given age group he's been a part of. On top of that he seems to preference his football above his free time. He is destined to be a great player. Usually the stories where a top prospect fails is made story of and it is something that resonates with people but seldom the story is this boy is as good as he's been most of his youth career. Not really a story. Many of top 10 age group youths end up playing at a good level where as the group from 30-100 is probably a ton of hit and miss. So many professional people are evaluating these young players all the time. You also need the opportunity in a right club. To me George is not in the right club. He should be at Championship or somewhere in Europe. Even Fulham to me seems the wrong place.
  16. Usually players that are their youth national teams carrying forces have a good future and are the level we aspire. George is not that. Just looked at his national youth records and he is not that impressive. Palmer, Noni, Paez, Estevao, Santos and Casadei were all that. We need this level more than George's. However I think he will play a good career. Probably not for us though.
  17. Such a comedian. At this point I would say The Rising Sun > Ricky Gervais > Bill Burr. My thighs are red as Ferrari.
  18. I am sure of my guess! Have you heard something else?
  19. I love the optimism. My prediction is: something between your guess and best club in the world. In other words: we both just wasted some good kilobytes posting this horrible nonsense.
  20. Your presumptions are rotating around the new owners being financially shrewd. That is your idea because you think football is not important to them. I can't really do anything to that image. They are venture capitalists so they seek compensation to their investments. Even the simplest mathematician understand they need to gain the value to the club and the simplest route to do so is to be relevant in the sport. There are hundreds of examples of that. That means the sporting side needs to be good. That is not a debate. That is a simple fact. By good I mean excellent. Top 10 in the world. We used to be that but I think we can be even better even though the competition is much tighter than it's been. Raheem Sterling is a good example of a player they purchased before they had the directors. Roman era type of purchase. Ready made player for exact need. We don't do that anymore. It is pretty easy to say why. Disasi was bought for Pochettino because Fofana was sidelined for entire season. Again they don't do that anymore. Not dipping into the market after Colwill got injured is a good indication of that. They learned not to do these hasty deals. That could hurt us short term but in the long term it is probably the best decision.
