Not saying this is very good but I thought I would have a go at a motivational speech - could be a bit of an omen as Queen 'We Are the Champions' came on my iPod on shuffle when I was writing this. Guys, look at where you are, look at how far you have come from where we were 2-3 months ago. To me you are all champions to make it this far, but.... you have one more step, one more hurdle to become legends. How much do you want this? You have to want this more than anything to win here, you are in the lions den, you are going to be surrounded by thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people wanting you to fail, but what you have to remember is that lion on your heart and what it represents and who it represents. It just does not represent a shirt, it represents a club, a team, a family, from the chairman to the supporter who cannot make it the otherside of the globe, families get through anything together and are always there for each other, and no matter what the Chelsea family will be there with you, you 11 will not be alone you will have the thousands of Chelsea fans with you and willing you along, willing you to take that next step, that next hurdle to become legends. Now go out there and play with the lions heart and spirit and earn that chance to become legends.

Yeh I heard this on Talksport, making a massive thing of it. I cant see why Roman would want this, it is what he has wanted since he stepped in at the Bridge.

The timing of this stinks! Why try and disrupt the team just over 24 hours before the biggest game of their lives? Surely the press people at Chelsea would not be so stupid, so then it goes back to having a mole at the club which I must admit I have suspected because of the amount of sotries that have comeout about Chelsea in the last year. Or its Capello trying to get a job. Whatever it is it surely does not help. I hope RDM and the boys can block all of this out today and fully concentrate on what needs to be done. I wish I could do that, I just dont think I can. For the semi final I kept changing the channel every 30 seconds but that just seems to make the game seem longer. For the UCL game against Liverpool I put a bit of tape over the part of the TV where the time would be and I muted the TV the commentators do my head in!! I am at a wedding this saturday have never been so gutted about missing a game before, have tried talking my self out of not having to go to the wedding especially with being offered a flight over but I can't... Gutted

Cannot see that happening, wakes at over 200k we are not in a position to pay those types of wages anymore. If I were City I would feel a tad pissed off that has come out in the media straight after winning the title. No pleasing some people!!

I am not saying it wouldnt but I wouldnt want it to happen to someone who we apprecaite not only for what he has done in charge of Chelsea but for what he did as a player at Chelsea. I would hate to see Chelsea remove Robbie and for his career to go downhill because what he is to the club and for what he has done. That is what I am getting at.

You have pretty much summed up my feelings towards this. I just cant see RDM going toe to toe with Fergie, Wenger or Manchini and feel we may just be lacking that killer instinct. Trust me I hope I am totally proved wrong with RDM and I hope he gets it and goes on and gets more success. But I can see it now, Christmas time we are 5/6/7 in the league winning the league is already out of the window and we replace him, another media storm saying we need to give him more time...

I can see the backlash on JT now, this is Rio just trying to wind it up further. Trust me the united loving media are going to love this and will now really lay it into JT and Hodgson. I think what it may boil down to us whether RA will have the patience to let RDM build a team as we are going to have to rebuild (we have already started with KDB and Marin), I think we have got to the UCL final by a lot player power and wanting to it more, which is fantiastic. It will be interesting to see if that carries into next year. Rors21 said that the family-atmosphere which RDM has installed is great and being a chelsea boy has made it easier for him, but what if things do go sour and RA and eventually the fans turn on a great servent to the club, just think that is one of the things which could be on both RDM's mind and RA's. Dont get me wrong I would love RDM to stay and build a team whcih will do well nothing would give me more thrill than seeing an ex-chelsea player coming in and doing that. Anyway I am still undecided wtih what I think will happen suppose a lot will depend on Saturday's result, but before that I want to say thank you to RDM for what he has done since he has come in, and has done a fantastic job and whatever happens he has given me in the so far short amount of time some great Chelsea memories, will never forget that night in the Camp Nou. I will be really surprised if Rossi gets to the level he was before he two cruciate injuries, these take sometime to get over. I must admit before Holden got injured I was really impressed with how he plays, as you said pretty much kept Bolton up last season. Would it be worth a punt on both as they both could be available on the cheap as both their respective teams have been relegated this season.

Guys I want to put it out there, who will be on the plane for the Euro's? Will Roy take Terry? Does Ferdinand actually warrant a place? Will Roy try to get the Lampard/Gerrard partnership to work? Who will play up top in light of Rooney's ban for the first two games? I have been trying to put down on paper well MS Word who will go. I must admit I cannot see many surprises, Holt should go on performances but he is at an unfashionable team and I just cannot see Roy taking the gamble on him. Looks like Parker and Walker could be out but if both fit feel they should be in the squad. And who knows who the captain is going to be... I cannot see it going any further past Gerrard if i am honest. Frank has had the better season and would do a good job in the role. I am still putting my finishing touches to my guess of who will be in there but will be good to see what my fellow Chelsea fans think. Look forward to seeing who you guys come up with and see if you have any surprise call ups.

As it has been well documetned the Lampard/Gerrard partnership just does not work (even though on paper it would be the best CM partnership we have had as an England team (and could have been Chelsea history if it wasnt for those scummy scousers)). If Woy chooses Gerrard ahead of Lampard I still think the latter deserves to be part of the squad and will be bitterly disappointed if super Frank is not (at the very least) part of the squad. Can anyone name an english CM who has done better this year?
