I too hated him as a Man U player, but playing for England I of cause thought we was good. Done a great job as a pundit really enjoyed what he had to say and very knowledgable, think he will do a good job will command respect especially from the senior players which I think is needed in the England team. Am starting to look forward to the Euros just hope we do not choke but I am not exepcting anything then what ever happens I will be plesently surprised.

I think the team for next season will really depend on who the manager is. I believe the likes of Bertrand and all of the other youngsters will get a chance if RDM stays but if someone else comes in I am not sure what will happen. I wish I could guess our team for next year but it is really too difficult right now without having the knowledge of you will be in charge next year.

I in fact still have Championship Manager 93 and the orginal Championship Manager Italia loaded on my PC!! Great games!! Still need to get FM 2012 though may just wait until 2013 now.

Hi Guys I just wanted to say hello even though I have been posting for a few weeks already. From what I have seen there are some great topics and I could spend hours on here responding and putting my views across. All topics have great detail and are very interesting. Look forward to reading more of all your posts and topics and I hope you enjoy mine. I have been a lifelong Chelsea fan but because of costs and in the process of buying a house I cannot really afford it, hopefully work will give me a rise which I will not tell the missus about so I can get up to the bridge more. I do see a lot of lower league football and do watch Wycombe Wanderers a few times a season which I also enjoy but I am a life long Chelsea fan and Chelsea are my first love. My favourite Chelsea player of all time is now in charge although I am not 100% sure he is the man to do the job full time especially going into next year and needing to get back into those Champions League spots. One player I wish we had was Paul Gascoigne to me he was the best player (I know he was Spurs but he was amazing) England have had, he is the reason I wanted to play football. Anyway thats a little about me, again look forward to expressing my views and reading all of yours.

This is a scarey thought, something which actually makes me wish I had taken my football a lot more seriously when I was a kid got picked up by the Chelsea as a kid and made it through the ranks and now a first team regular and playing centre back so I can fit in and do the business ~ god I wish I had my time machine sorted. No matter who is playing at the back I know they will play their hearts out and try their best, lets just hope that their best is good enough. Essien has done it before, I seem to remember made a very decent right back... Think Cole would be the person but think we will miss him and think he will do a job on either Robben or Ribery. What about: Bos Ferreria Essien Cole Joey I know this is the same as your team but would prefer to see Bos play RB and Ferreria play CB.

Not sure if Dortmund is seating though? But still an awesome sight as you say, went there for a game between Dortmund and Wolfsburg couldnt get anyway near a Dortmund stand so had to go in the away end and I have never seen a sight like that before at a football game. Would be great if Chelsea could create that sort of atmosphere at a game if we were to move. Shame we do not at the moment, no way near what it used to be in the old Shed.

I like the ideas of the stadium - 15,000 one tier stand (Dortmund-esq (BTW best stadium in the world!!)) But it would be a huge shame to leave the Bridge and going south of the river to me will not feel right.

OK maybe useless is too harsh granted but he never fit the England management role. Fair enough his results were good but what we did at the World Cup was not good, yes the blame should also sit with the players but he got it totally wrong during the WC.

How about getting Joe Lewis in on a free been released from his club, good solid english keeper. Am sure he was even called up to the England squad a few years ago. Surely worth a go if there is no transfer fee? Hilario and Turnball I just dont think really cut and Cech could do with some good compitition to keep him on his toes.

Good arguments for and against. As said great club record but for England he was useless. I know him and JT had a good relationship which leads me to believe that there is a chance this may happen. Dont get me wrong I think RDM has done a fantastic job, and I hope he does take it on but there is just something telling me that he may not cut it - not sure what it is but its been niggling me since I he first few games. There is something about new managers coming in when times are tough and do really well but in the long run it doesnt work out. I hope this doesnt happen to Robbie. Going back to Capello, great club manager, and wouldnt take sh*t from anyone and will put any egos back in their place if they appeared something which AVB couldnt do.

Totally agree, I think would be a good signing and has premiership experience which I think is key.

I am not sure he would have had this opportunity if we had anyone else in charge, good thing about RDM is that although being Italian he is a Chelsea fan and wants to give the players who want to be Chelsea play. Hopefully we will see some more of the youngsters next season if RDM is appointed.

Why would he want to come to us? If Newcastle are going to offer him champions league football next season why would he leave? We just need to go and find our own Cisse or Torres needs to show the type of form he showed at Ath Madrid and Liverpool.

Got to give Woy a chance. Everyone in the press shooting him down even before he was confirmed. I for one am glad it has gone to him and I really hope he is a success so that it can be stuck it up to the press (who do also all seem to hate Chelsea). I think Hodgson has the best credentials for the England job from all the managers who are available. Everyone raving about 'arry well what has he done? On trophy in 30 years, no international experience which puts him behind Hodgson. Would like to know who people would have wanted and who from that list is actually available. Anyway, all the best Woy! I for one will be getting behind you and the England team and always will.

If Felliani turns out to be as good as Ballack then I would take him. Yes Ballack had some poor games but I still think he was a great player to have in the squad/team. When JT and Frank were injured a few years ago I thought he really stepped up. If not Felliani what about Axel Witsel from Benfica, I thought he looked a good player and again reminded me of a Ballack type midfielder. May get slated for this but what about Jordan Rhodes? I know he is a lower league player but he is still young, think he could mould into a great player he is already a top finisher. Anyway just a name to put out there!

I know he has been on the bench a bit since his come back but can I just say how great it was to see Sam Huthinson on the field yesterday. Coming from someone who has had similar knee injuries it is horrible having to quit the world game at such a young age! But I would like to take my hat of to Sam and I hope he starts figuring more and more for the first team especially in the next few weeks with the amount of games we have with limited resource in defence. Sam is a credit to the club and an insipiration to anyone who has injuries to never give up and if you love something so much you always keep going. This is the type of mentatlity which wins you trophies. Welcome back Sam!

Hit the nail on the head there Spiller!! Kakuta has had a good season and could come back and do a good job. I can see Benayoun going to the arse as a permenant move, again if he stays would be a great back up for Mata. Would like to see maybe another 1 or 2 signings already based in the premiership. I wish I could name some names but my mind has gone blank. WIll come back with some who may work at Chelsea.

Adam Johnson would be worth a punt if Hazard heads to the Etihad. Good player, English cannot see the price tag being anyway near City will pay for Hazard.

Can someone help me... How about Franco, Butch and Clarke back - Liverpool have had a poor season he could be tempted. Great defensive coach and I think those 3 and RDM then we really are going to have a great coaching backroom.

Think that would be a good deal for Chelsea. But if we loose Drogba then it could leave us a little light (literally) up front.

not entirely sure he will leave. I think Anelka will badger him to go to China but be suprised if he goes there. I do think we have to prepare for these legends of Chelsea to leave, Lampard as much as he has suprised me this year will not be able to play at this level too much longer (although every year he seems to top the previous season), Terry I can see his injuries really catching up and with the court case in the summer can see him maybe passing the mantle to Cahill (natural successor of captain?) and Drogba well we were all told that his natural successor was Lukaku so let s see what happens I suppose. But these players have and will be leaving in the next few years and we should have to be prepared but respect their decision as they all have been great servents. Well Malouda hasnt, I would pay for his flight out if I had the chance.
