I am happy to try and put something together, as it is something I do as a job, being a Project Manager. It is up to the forum as to what they would like to see... Hi all, first of all I have not been able to post anything on here for some time due to illness but I have been compelled to write about what is going on at our club at the moment. It is obvious that there is still a rift in the camp or a split - it has been there since Torres' arrival, and with Rafa coming in it has only heightened that split. The players are not playing for the manager the same as they were not playing for AVB. This argument could go down to it being an issue with the players but that is different argument/discussion to what I want to talk about now. We need a manager who the players will look up to and will play for. Jose is most peoples first choice, but look at his track record since leaving Porto, after 2-3 seasons things are not going to well and he starts making noises about leaving and all that, which if he were to come back to the bridge I can see happening again, especially with fergie thinking about retiring in the next few years. Now I am not saying that Jose would not do wonders for us and the players would not play for him, and I am not saying that with him back we would be a better team, I just think we should be cautious what we wish for here (before anyone asks I am wishing for Rafa to leave). After Swansea beat us in the league cup I actually mentioned to my mates that I can see Laudrup being a great fit at Chelsea, but why would he want to come to us when he will get sacked if he does not win any silverware? Laudrup would be my choice but he has said that he wouldnt come to us. Another option which I firmly believe could work for us in the long term is Steve Clarke - yes I know he is new to management but has turned WBA into a very below average team to a good, hard to beat team. I am not saying that he would pull up tree's if he were to come and manage Chelsea but I believe he would have the dressing room behind him and they would want to play for him. Give Clarke some time and some patience and I believe he could turn us back into a team that plays to win and plays for the manager.

Besides I like the way we play, we play to our strengths and to our opponents weaknesses. For example, look at the Barcelona games and then the game against QPR totally different game and tactics. Its good way to be, as we play to our means, football isnt about having one tactic, Barcelona play the short passes and look for gaps and running off the ball which is great and they play that so well and are the best at doing that but its exactly the same week in week out. We on the other hand know that we cannot play like that, so we play a bit more of a defensive game which worked against them.

Totally agree mate, unless there is a big overhaul and change at Chelsea within the team then I cant see how he would fit the Chelsea mould.

I still cannot see this happening. What kind of football do you think he will bring, the players at Chelsea are totally different than at Barcelona , that is taking nothing away from how we play, I think we are more tactical that is how we beat Barcelona we didnt play them at their own game as Arsenal showed that when they tried it, it just will not work against Barcelona they love knocking the ball around playing the short passes. We went out to prevent that and to battle them down - it is what we done against them for years. Will be interesting to say the least if (thats a big if) he comes.

I am still getting teary everytime I see Drgoba's goal and the penalty shootout. Also seen a few replays of Torres goes v Barcelona and that still brings tears to my eyes. Trying to man up but I can, never been this happy.

It will be a loss as he is a talent but if he wanted to join Chelsea then he would holding out waiting for someone to give him the best offer is not the behaviour of someone who wants to join a club. Besides Lucas looks much better lets hope we get him. Should we not discount Hoillet just because we have won the Champions League?

Harry.............. No way do not want him near the club. If the Spuds want rid of him cause they believe he has taken them as far as he can then why bring him to a team who want to defend the Champions League and fight for the title until the bitter end. Anyway if Hodgson has a poor Euro 2012 how long will it be until Harry puts his name in the frame and disrupts the whole team?? I do like Pardew and would like to see what he does next season think he has the potential to be a great manager. Best bet right now is to give Robbie a one year deal see how it goes, and as I said in the RDM thread he needs to be given time, it is good to see an ex Chelsea player in charge though.

Not that I believe we will not win anything now, but if we appoint Robbie I think we have to give him some time, and more importantly Roman has to give him time, there seems to be some great potential players coming in, KDB and Marin are fantastic young players, our defence I think is slowly going to be replaced, Bertrand will be Cole's replacement and hopefully Kane will come through and be our next RB. Midfield with the new signings coming in and with Mata, Ramieres and hopefully Josh coming through we will have our midfield sorted. Torres will have to step up to replace the void left by Didier. All this transition will take time and time is what Roman does not seem to have, hopefully now that we have the holy grail we can afford to give Robbie or whoever time to settle in and make their own new team for the next generation. There could be the potential that we may not win anything for the next 1-2 years, if this is the case we will have to stick buy the team and the manager especially if it is Robbie, do believe he has the potential to be a great manager amd turn into an even bigger legend at Chelsea than he already is and actually be the best manager in our history. But all this will take time, look at SAF and what he has done at Utd (god I hate writing that name on this forum, I feel dirty, I apologize for writing that), we are now in a position where we can step up with a young exciting team with a mix of experience from Tery, Lampard, Cole, Cech. Hopefully this is just the beginning guys...

The only people who are really glad to see the back of him I bet are the Arsenal defenders. Hopefully we can find someone else to batter them next season...
