Some thoughts on flo

Featured Replies

Long after the hubbub on sat, flo stood alone and looked up at the chelsea fans looking pensive and a bit sad really, so maybe a sign he is off to

So a few words on flo.....a very decent player who has been key part over last 4 years, especially the double year. Always gives 100percent, flexible in positions he has played, some big goals and many assists. Maybe not a legend, but a very good player and he will be missed (if he goes)

So a big thank you from me - he will always be welcome at SB

Always gave 100 percent?!?

Your surely not talking about florent malouda are you.

Don't want to Rain on the current moods parade but I think he has been average at best this season and probably a prime candidate for being shopped in for a younger model

Was great season 2 but not so Much since. Don't get me wrong, if he moves on I'll wish him well and thank him for his service

He has had his moments! But his time is done. Like everyone said though I wish him well, I seeing him going to

Lille.

One thing, I thought you were talking about Tore Andre!!

He hasn't been a success here and there have been loads of games where he hasn't looked interested. When Hiddink was here he was actually quite good, I'll give him that.

Still, he's been here and hasn't done anything really bad. I'll always respect him and if he leaves then I will wish him all the best in the future.

I truly believe that he has a thing against Torres, or at least had a thing against Torres, since he would never pass to him, ever.

That seems to have changed in the latter part of the season.

Malouda is a exceedingly frustrating player, and belongs on a mid-table team, not Chelsea.

for me, not good enough, never was. He had moments, i would say most notably under gus actually but when you think about what was availible and what we had at a year before purchase

Very french like ego, looks lackluster even when he plays good (which is rare). He was incredible under Hiddink and the second half of the double season, after that not so much. If it was correct to let Drogba go (which I think it was) then it's most definitely correct to let this fella go.

Hope we buy a winger with more pace next time.

I'm astonished to see so many people say he was never good enough? What?

15 goals and 15 assists in 09-10 wasn't good enough? He was brilliant that year + his half season under Guus.

Not Chelsea quality :)

Had a really excellent 18 months under Guus and Ancelotti and should have had a cracking FA Cup final goal to his name, but other than that mostly a disappointment. Thanks for your contribution Flo and all the best for the future, but now's the time to part ways.

During the 2009/2010 season he was our best player IMO - I remember when he was rested for the game before the FA Cup semi final (I believe) I was livid! For me it's the effort thing, apart from then I don't think he puts in near enough effort during a game.

Hope he goes but wish him well, not sure we would have won the league without him.

Played his part at a certain time (like many players do) but has since tailed off, add to that his obsession with shooting on sight when someone else is clearly in a better position means i hope he's on the'clear out' list.

Thanks Flo but adieu.

Alan

PS. No hard feelings against the fella, and i'd always like to see him treated well if he ever returns playing for someone else.

He has given his best performances as a player to Chelsea and being a top european player that is very good for the club. He's been great for us, good for us, frustrating for us and under par for us.

It seems to me the man is very easily distracted with anything and it shows in his football. If the dressing room is not just right he's the worst player in the team on a good day he's been brilliant. Maybe the more strong players have too much influence on Flo. I think Drogba is one of them in both good and bad.

I think it'd be best for the club and for Flo if he left this summer. PSG sounds very good destination to him IMO. Familiar manager in home country.

To be honest I'll remember him more for his haircuts than his contribution on the pitch. He seemed like quite a likeable guy though in interviews so wish him well if he does leave.

I always think of the Game in the Charity Shield against UTD and that Goal, always thought he was going to be great for us and he was at stages influentiol but I feel he was a better player than he ever consistantly showed, Frustrating sometimes but a good servant and played his part in a lot of good things that happened here.

I wish him all the best. At the end of the day, he's been a Chelsea player and had a excellent 18 month period with Hiddink/Ancellotti. He's never courted any controversy. I met him once and he was an extremely likeable and witty guy.

But as my teacher used to say on my reports, 'could do better'
