  1. We're having a f**king horrendous season yet we're still 8 places above Liverpool in the league, I think this chump should go and f**k himself.
  2. Playing horrendous, negative, turgid football under someone like Benitez is one thing but failing to pick up points in the process is another. We are in a dire situation. Our season is over but the one thing in our favour is money and options.
  3. He was right to get rid of RDM. The best part of £100m spent and we have a sh*te team. The mistake he made was the replacement...
  4. Benitez has so far delivered on the horrendous turgid, negative football that we saw in his Liverpool time, the only difference is hardly picking up any points. I don't know what Roman was thinking...he strives for purist, total football yet went for the polar opposite for 6 months ?
  5. What we really really lack at the moment and haven't had since Mourinho is quite simply a top manager and Guardiola is the man. The money we spent this summer is frightening for how dreadful a team we have. If we didn't have Juan Mata we would be absolutely f**king abysmal. This January we need a manager, world class central midfielder + striker and that is just the bare minimum. RDM spent the best part of £100m this summer, sickening.......
  6. RDM spent over £75 this summer as well as getting an enormous wage budget, he's the main reason we are in this mess. £75m f**king spent and we have a sh*te midfield and no half decent striker. All RDM spent money on was attacking midfielders. I live in hope that this summer the cheque book gets opened again and Guardiola sorts the team out. Then maybe we can get the academy sorted out and stop paying over the odds for other club's players.
  7. The one positive from Benitez is we might start to bore the opposition into defeat. We're going to struggle to make the top 4 this season let alone challenge for the title. We have no striker and a terrible central midfield...
  8. This is one of the most absurd things I have ever read online.
  9. They had more of the game today and created more chances. So yes they did play better.
  10. Try telling back to back European champions as well as world champions Spain that 'possession means f**k all'. Maybe if England tried to adapt their methods to the likes of Spain they might actually win something for a change.
  11. Possession means f**k all? Typical ignorant English attitude stuck about 30 years behind modern times.
  12. Just because they are top of the table, it doesn't make them a great side. I don't consider any premiership team to be up to much at the moment. I think European performances back this up . City maybe didn't dominate the game but they still had almost 60% of possession and much more shots.
  13. Yes, because clearly we didn't need a huge amount of luck to win that match.
  14. City have been very mediocre and largely dominated the game today. Plus they were away, we were at home. Both sides were poor, it was a terrible match and a snoozefest but City still had a lot more of the ball. Also, lacking a quality striker is far from our only problem - we severely lack quality in the middle of the park and rarely control games.
  15. It was the worst match I've seen in ages. Big matches in England usually are pretty bad. We also had 1 shot on target all game.
  16. People better get used to 0-0 draws and dire football like this because there's much more of it coming. My biggest concern with Benitez is his footballing philosophy, which is like watching paint dry and is unbelievably negative. Let's just hope this is a stop gap.
  17. People are quick to have a go at him at the moment but since he joined the club we have been the highest spenders in the world and recently, the CL aside, our performance has not reflected this. What sackings has he got wrong? Scolari clearly deserved it and in hindsight wasn't qualified for the job. Both Ancelotti and AVB went on absolutely dire runs and it was clear the team was going nowhere. RDM spent a fortune in the summer but has recently seen the side hit absolutely horrendous form with little suggestion of improvement. We have fallen behind Man City and Man Utd who have been terrible this season and the form we are on suggests we may struggle to reach the top 4, which is pathetic. We are all but out of the champions league and that is inexcusable. We spent a fortune in the summer pretty much just on attacking midfielders when it was clear that we were massively struggling in the middle of the park and in the striker areas. I really hope we don't get Rafa though, the Premiership and his Liverpool side were particularly boring when he was about.
  18. I think my point is that if Mourinho had over £80 million to spend this summer he would have addressed the central midfield problem.
  19. Lampard and Essien were two of the best players in the world when Mourinho was manager. Your point is null and void
  20. He's doing very well in the league. I think Europe will be a problem this season though. With us playing more attacking football, our central midfield isn't nearly good enough. The EPL shouldn't be a huge problem though, outside Man City I don't think anyone is that great in the middle of the park, and that's only because they have Toure
  21. Ramires and Mikel are a central midfield that isn't likely good enough to win the premiership, then again Man Utd haven't had a good central midfield since Keane and Scholes and that doesn't seem to have stopped them. It struck me today that both us and Arsenal seemed to be cramming as many attacking midfielders into their teams as possible. When Chamberlain came on for Diaby, Arsenal were left with hardly a recognised traditional CM in their team. Arteta has become a deeper lying player again but he's spent most of his time in the premiership as an attacking midfielder. That's something which separates a lot of Europe's elite from most of the top EPL teams for me just now - they are far stronger in the middle of the park. Man City have Yaya Toure though who would be perfect for us If Mourinho was still in charge I don't think we would be playing Ramires and Mikel in the middle
  22. I can't recommend Guild Wars 2 highly enough. I've never been a hardcore mmo player, but I played enough of WoW for the forumula to get boring, and SWTOR quickly got boring because it was basically the same game. GW2 has a lot of features that make the experience feel new. I just hope that other games continue on from it and develop the experience even more. I think MMO's could look and play a lot better than they currently do. I'd love to see a GTA type mmo for example
  23. I'm disappointed that they have persisted in making ranked matches random so that you don't know who your opponent is. Simply because there's a likely chance of playing against the same team. However, in my 3 ranked games so far I haven't played against the same side that I've been, so hopefully they have changed things so it doesn't happen. Also, do you still have to play ranked games to get updated stats? That was another thing I hated about fifa 12 - in order to get updated stats and teams I had to play a ranked game and often end up playing the same team.
