I will go with Benzema. Rooney doesn't have a chance. Lack of creativity in England's squad and he's banned for 2 games. RVP can share playing time with Klaas who had a great season although latest reports suggest RVP is option 1. If that doesn't work though, Klaas will be used. Torres is not proliphic enough and he might not even be choice No. 1 with Llorente present. Germany's forward is anyone's guess with Klose, Podolski and Gomez all pushing for the spot. Balotelli has a chance, but I wouldn't bet on Italy after seeing them against Russia. Kerzhakov has a chance. He is your typical golascorer, their group is relatively easy. He might have a chance as odd as that sounds. Cristino should bang in some goals but I can't see him going beyond group stages so that elimanes him. Yep, it's between Benzema and Kerzhakov for me, with Benzema first option. RVP is my third choice. Chabolah and Piazon are showing real promise I think. The rest seem very, very far from 1st team football. Even they will find it extremely hard with the competition in the first squad.

He seems to have the skills to play RB - pace, acceleration, positioning, tackling, etc.TBH, he doesn't seem tall and muscular enough to be a CB in the Prem so if there is a position for him in Prem that would be a FB IMO. This is nonsense Kagawa plays AMC much more often then Goetze when they play together. You can draw as many diagrams as you want. He will shift to an AMC role next season as they got Reus to play on the wing but that does not change tha fact that he played on the right primarily until now. Please tell me what in Dembele is better than Essien/Meireles? I hope you realize we are paying these guys a lot and selling them won't be easy - especially Essien. Essien has been a beast before. He might step it up again next season - he should have a full pre-season preparation! Yes, he had two terrible injuries but that does not mean he can't recover or go back close to what he was before. He is 29, if he gets a good pre-season there can be 2-3 more seasons in him. Meireles is not a bad player either. Why is everyone hating on him? He was one of the more solid players this turbolent season...And we paid around 12m for him. If we can't get back 10m then I see no reason to sell him and I am not sure there will be a buyer for him at that price. Dembele is good, but nothing so special. I'd take Witsel and Fellaini before him any single day if it has to be from the Beligum national team. I think it's time to stop buying players for the sake of buying...we have plenty of quality players in the squad with plenty of life in them that we have paid a lot for. Right now we are lacking at RB and if memory serves me right Dembele is not a RB.

His skills are more suited to an AMC role IMO but he still plays on the wing very, very well. I'd know, I've seen 20+ games of him in the last two seasons. I know one - Goetze. But 1. He won't be cheaper. 2. He isn't better. 3. I think he said he doesn't want to play in England if my memory serves me right. 4. Hazard-Mata-Goetze is an average height of around 170 cm, which in PL is laughable. Can't honestly think of anyone else that is available and at Hulk quality on the right. Adam Johnson is good and might want to leave. I've always liked him, but not sure if City would want to sell to us. And again, I don't think he is of Hulk quality.

Schurrle is a left winger/Striker. Why is he even mentioned in the thread is beyond me when we have Marin, Mata , Hazard and KdB all perfectly capabl on the left wing and Sturridge, Torres, Lukaku to play up front. Same for M'Vila - Lampard, KdB, Josh, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Essien, Meireles all capable of playing of playing in holding midfielder positions. Yeah. Great buys these two, right. We have enough enough talents...we need quality first team players and of all people mentioned in the thread Hulk is the only such player as a RW. Btw, Lavezzi is also Left/Centre sided. 2 issues here - you count everything close to the England goal as a goalscoring opportunity...which it isn't. The other is that you see a person with red shoes and think it's Hazard. Well, no. You might wanna watch a replay just to make sure what you think is Hazard is actually Hazard...But watching a replay of this game is the utimate punishment - so boring. Oh and a chance he created for himself and wasted with a crap shot means nothing - why do you even count that? The two actual chances he has created is the cross to Jan (from corner I think...so you can't really count that) and the pass to Lukaku late in the game, which wasn't something exceptional and cettainly didn't leade to a clear chance for a goal. The rest were two of his own shots that Joe Hart could have easily laughed at despite him being asleep in this game for some reason (he was all over the place).

England's win was as lucky as ours against Bayern (not as much obviously as Belgium actually didn't create much except that screamer in the post and a missed header). They created nothing and 4 of the 5 chances created were actually by stealing the ball from disoriented Belgian midfielders/defenders who can't push the ball up the field properly. Poor game for both sides with the exception of Defoe who was extremely lively. The game different from our wins in that England's possession and chances ratio was in their favour unlike Chelsea...but still creativity lacking all over the place. It won't work with long crosses into the box at the Euros. Teams are just better organized than this Belgian side (Kompany missing probably had something to do with it)
