The only good reason I can think of for Essien to leave is so that Ramires could have his number and be Rambo number 5. Apart from that I still think he's got alot to offer.

Will always remember him for THAT cross to Riise. Great squad player, always put 100% in. Will be a tragedy if he goes to the bindippers.

I would be more than happy if we don't get Hulk, he's so inconsistent it's unreal. Also would hate to see Rambo made a bit part player after the way he played last season. There aren't many players that can turn defence into attack as fast as he can. Been trying to think of what I think the best lineup would be but can't decide... Find it impossible not to include Frank and doubt Marin,Mata and Hazard can all play together. I would rather we sign an out and out striker because at the end of the day, we can't just rely on Torres. Cannot wait for pre season!

Answered Torres but we definitely need a new striker. If Torres plays anything like he did last season for the first bunch of games we can't keep using him and hoping he will improve, plus we don't have King Didier to rely on for the big games anymore. Sturridge isn't good enough to lead the line and Lukaku isn't ready, needs a year at a prem league club on loan. Slightly worried that we are constantly being linked with wingers/attacking midfielders and not strikers.

Would be amazing if this happens, but half our ex-players have been linked to a coaching role at the club in the past. Really hope it's more than a blatant rumour.

I would much rather we give Kakuta a chance 1st, and monitor Moses. If it turns out that Kakuta can't cut it at this level and Moses has an impressive first few months in the league then pick him up in January. From what I've seen of Moses, he is a fast, skillfull, selfish player with no end product. Personally hope we don't sign him but it's definitely a better option than paying a stupid amount for Hulk.
