  1. Surely we're gonna beat nordsjaelland, hopefully that will lift our heads and we can put in some better performances
  2. We should be able to win, I'd like to see him rest a few players/change things up a bit too. Team i'd like to see: ----------Cech---------- Azpi - Luiz - Cahil - Bertrand ----Romeu --- Ramires---- - Marin - Oscar - Moses - ---------Torres--------- We've used the fewest players out of any team in the top flight, it's absurd to keep fielding a full strength squad for every single game. Also Marin has looked promising when he's come on as a sub, i'd like to see how he does from the start.
  3. its still pretty clear that all we need is a decent striker, if we get falcao i could win the epl with this team with only my decade of football manager on PC experience to guide me.
  4. Well he got the first half right, if he can replicate our first half performance into entire matches then we'll be in good stead, we were unfortunate not to have a larger lead, and obviously picking up an actual striker will improve us tenfold. Also the equalizer was a clear foul, once again the ref has f**ked us over, really getting tired of it. As for the negatives..what the f**k happened after half time, Rafa must have given the worst team talk in history.
  5. Why does Hazard not take on his man like Moses does, I've seen clips of him at Lille and he did it regularly, he has more pace and better footwork than Moses so I really don't understand. OT: Toss up between Moses, Mata, Azpi and Cole, cbf choosing between them.
  6. No-one really stood out a huge amount, but probably Hazard for being the main threat until he got taken off. Azpi had another good game too, the defence was solid overall in fact.
  7. Let's face it, Torres was the downfall of Ancelotti, AVB and Robbie. Soon as we move on to another striker we can start planning for the longer term, but while Roman is still insistent of Torres being the #1 choice, every manager is going to suffer the same fate. Why, I have my doubts that even the Special One could survive the curse of 'Nando.
  8. From what I've seen the only DVD available on the official site is of extended highlights of the games. Does anyone know of a DVD featuring the full games against Bayern and Barca, and preferably also the second leg against Napoli? If not, does anyone here own the official CFC extended highlights DVD, and could possibly tell me how extended the highlights are? Cheers.
  9. Resting all 3 of the trio? This can only end badly.
  10. If you call that amount of tugging a foul, then Kompany would have had 20 yellow cards by the time that corner was even taken for the amount of shoving and pulling he gave torres.
  11. Every ball i see go into the box aimed at Oscar to get his head to it, when he is being marked by a large centre back, i just grimace at the stupidity.
  12. To be fair, why are we even crossing it to begin with? Our trio are tiny and Torres is about half the weight of Kompany or Nastasic and was never going to win the aerial battle against either of them, especially when they're bearhugging him every time he tries to do anything. Has no-one reminded the team we don't have Drogba in the box anymore? I thought we bought these 3 so that we could play it through defences.
  13. Chris Foy, with a competent official Kompany and Yaya would have been sent off by the hour mark.
  14. Probably won't be a popular opinion, but i'd say we got the tactics spot on in this game. I feel like if we played any more offensively, we would have been left too exposed at the back and probably lost. Sure we could have made a more offensive substitution than Romeu on for Mikel (although i'd say it is a slight improvement, considering Romeu passes the ball forwards), but with two fresh strikers on for City (Tevez and Mario), it would have been really risky. We didn't win because we didn't have a striker, and you can't blame the waiter for that. edit: Considering all the pressure hes under from the fans, I wouldn't have risked a loss for chasing a win either. A draw keeps the mob at bay for now, but if we'd let in a late goal in that game all hell would have broken loose.
  15. Not his best game, but he was at least making runs and playing some nice touches, was probably just made to look better by how quiet Mata and Hazard were. I feel like our drop in form over the past few weeks has coincided with Mata no longer being the star of the show.
  16. I wouldn't say our attack was poor because our back-line was more solid. I think Iva led the line really well, honestly looks more confident there for me than Cahill/Luiz. And Cesar and Ash were fantastic as per normal. Overall our defence performed and Hazard/Mata/Torres didn't, but i don't think those two things are related.
  17. Could have been far worse considering the last few days. The officiating was absent/horrible, and I feel the only thing stopping us getting a goal in that game was that we got fouled every time we got into any sort of decent position. Defence was the most solid i've seen it this season, dominated the midfield for most of the 2nd half, and Torres actually gave a sh*t for the first time in weeks. Plenty of positives to take.
  18. Cesar has been our in form player of the last few weeks.
  19. Would rather see Marin on for Mata, Oscar has been the best of the 3 tonight by a long shot.
